I don't know if it was the tattoo artist or the quality of the ink but the tattoos ended up looking blurry and incomplete, one in particular was very bad. Just a positive update to my previous review since I don't see the option to review separately: I recently had my septum pierced by Dianna at Green Light. She was very efficient and it was over in no time with very little pain/discomfort - I appreciated her bedside manner. The jewelry selection was great - lots of basics and also more intricate pieces. I recommend Dianna/The Renegade Pearl for all your piercing needs! I got my second tattoo from Troy at Green Light a couple of months ago. It was a neo-traditional piece with color on my forearm, and Troy did an AWESOME job of making the vague idea in my head into a work of art! My session went by quickly and I never felt awkward or out of place. I am so pleased with my healed result and get complimented on it pretty much any time that I go out with it exposed. I ended up paying a lower price than I had been expecting (probably due to my own inexperience, but it was a pleasant surprise), and will definitely be returning before too long. read more

If you come by here ask for Zack! He's an amazing artist and has gentle hands! He truly cares about his work! When I was on the table he gave me breaks without even having to ask him he outlined my tattoo and then gave me a little break and then went into coloring. He encouraged me, he talked throughout the entire process and eased my nerves. Though I did cry he offered me water and all that. First I would like to start by saying if I can rate them ZERO STARS I WOULD !!!! Secondly I have a question for whomever owns this place do your tattoo artists like to service black people ??? Because I'm under the impression that they don't..... this is my 3rd attempt with this company and every time I've been greeted by the same tall and lanky Caucasian male that refuses to tattoo me. I asked for a simple letter on my finger and he refused my service because he insinuated he only services ppl with finger tattoos if they are fully covered on there sleeves because finger tattoos tend not to heal well! Wait a minute.... what???? I have a handful of tattoos that is not a good reason to turn me away. At this point I'm well experienced in taking care of my tattoos and the healing process. If your employees aren't there to work and just want to sit out in the front and smoke cigarettes all day that's fine but bad for business. Do they want to make money ? Or be bias and choose who they want to service because of skin color!!! I'm sorry but it's 2020 and it's lame to be racist. I will be sure to get the word out about Green Light and the trash customer service they are handing out. If this young gentleman can't do a simple LETTER ON THE FINGER then he needs not to be certified as a tattoo artist or working in your shop. I recently got my second holes done for my ears at Green light. It ended up being incredibly overpriced. I understand that she uses specialty jewelry, but it still was astounding to me that it cost over a hundred dollars for my very basic piercing when I've had multiple body piercings at other very wonderful shops that didn't come close in cost. The shop was not supremely clean, didn't have the best atmosphere, and wasn't an outstanding piercing experience. I'm giving 3 stars because she got the job done, so I'm happy with that, but I definitely wouldn't come back. read more

These people dont know what they're doing and definitely price you unfairly. We came in for a few piercings and it took them 20 minutes to "look up" their pricing. Mind you, the piercings are free you are just paying for the jewelry. And all the jewelry is separated on these frames by size. So they should know general sizing. They then called me over to tell me 1 ear piercing (forward helix) and to change out an existing ear piercing (buy an earring) was $119. I asked how much would it be just to do the ear piercing change and she said $158... so they obviously cant do math. Then when she saw my face she said oh I forgot to tell you that we have a special going on right now so you can get 10% off. So I immediately left and will never return. They took forever to give pricing and their pricing is absurd. Dont go here. There are so many other places to go that we called and had extremely better pricing and nicer people. read more

I called around during quarantine to see if anyone was open and green light had walkins for tattoos (although their piercer was only by appointment). They said to come in 40 mins, when I showed up someone was in front of me but I went next door to The Hop Shop (also definitely recommend) and waited. When I came back Thad told me he was finishing up and then he thoroughly cleaned the back (the whole place was very clean and seemed to be following ALL the regulations very well). Everyone was very nice and I spoke with Thad about my tattoo, showed him a pic and he went back and hand drew me the PERFECT design! It was simple and clean and he was one of the sweetest artists I've ever had. This was my 11th tattoo and this is by far my favorite. So thank you Thad and Green Light! It was also very reasonable priced and is definitely better than some of my more expensive tattoos! I will definitely be coming back here!! read more

I got a tattoo from here about three years ago and everyone was awesome. My sister in law and I discovered this place late one evening, when the tattoo shop we were originally referred to turned out to be a little sketchy. We were able to get in right away, and the artist kept us laughing the entire time. I said if I was to get another tattoo I would definitely go back. Well fast forward to now. My friend and I have decided to get tattoos. I immediately thought of Green Light. The guy who did my tattoo three years ago is no longer there, but I was still planning to go back. I sent an email last week to see about getting an appointment. Per the inquiry page it says to give a description of the design, location, and any other details. Which I did for both of our tattoos. I never got a response. So I called, the guy who answered the phone was super friendly and really nice. I told him about the inquiry I sent, what we wanted and when we planned to come, I also told him that we were coming from out of town. He said that he had an appointment at that time, but to hold on a second. Troy then comes to the phone, I explained everything again (including the inquiry that I sent, but did not hear back on and that we were coming from out of town). He tells me that they do not take appointments over the phone, because they need to see the design (which is understandable and had I of gotten a response to my inquiry or been provided with an email address to send the design I would have been more than happy to do so). I asked him if he would recommend us just walking in. His response if you can't bring in a copy of the design before hand then you'll have to just do a walk in. I asked him how did he expect me to bring the design in beforehand when I live out of town. Again I understand wanting to see the design, but it would be nice to provide an email address or respond to the inquires you receive. read more

I wish I could give more stars, this place deserves way more. I have been wanting this tattoo for MONTHS and for my birthday I finally got it. I made my appointment in about a month in advance with Scott and he was very nice and informative. I went in for my tattoo with my mom, sister and best friend and we immediately got started. He had the stencil already but I told him I wanted it a little smaller and he did that with no problem. We went back after filling out the paper work and he laid it out for me, I was super nervous but he calmed me down. We got started and it wasn't all that bad! Except when he would start going more down towards my ankle, that's when it hurt really bad. But he kept telling me that I was doing a good job. After we were finished I thanked him over and over again and my mom decided she wanted to get one too! He didn't mind at all and they started talking and she was in and out with a beautiful job. I have received 2 piercings from Dianna. I was extremely nervous about the first (it was in a verrry sensitive area!). Dianna was super understanding and patient. This piercing was a big deal to me, and she treated it that way. My friend and I randomly decided to get piercings at this place after eating at the Moo & Brew! Upon entering, everyone was really friendly and professional. Probably one of the most professional tattoo/piercing parlors I have ever been to! I love tattoo shops because their decor and atmosphere is always so relaxed as well as uniquely decorated and Green Light Tattoo did not disappoint! The amazing Dianna was our body piercer. My friend got her ear pierced and I got my naval pierced. Dianna from the beginning was very informative, very professional, full of advice, and she had such a gentle, but precise touch. I have never experienced a more professional body piercer that cares so much about her clients! My friend and I have both decided she will be the only person allowed to pierce us if we have to follow her to another country! Such a wonderful experience! Excited to come back for our one month check up! Yes, they ask you to come in after a month to ensure your piercing is healing properly which is awesome! She made great suggestions on how to alleviate the discomfort I was experiencing. She also introduced me to a process of "oxidation" for my tongue ring giving it a more natural tone (for a professional appeal in the workplace). My younger sister booked an appointment for us to get tattoos here. She specifically stated the date to them, as I'm from out of state. Not sure where the misunderstanding came from, whether it was the owner or the artist. Either way, she received a call saying we missed our appointment, when it was supposed to be roughly 3 weeks later. When she contacted them they did not do anything to help rectify the situation, meaning we were out $120 bucks total due to losing our deposit. The artist even said he had the date we had wanted open but we'd have to put down another deposit. Not happening. The customer service both the manager and artist gave was nonexistent, placing all the blame on us for stating the wrong date which she is positive she made it clear to them. I hope the artist enjoyed making $120 for doing nothing. He must really need the money to rip off a 19 yr old kid. The least they could've done was give back one deposit. We'll be looking elsewhere, I suggest you do the same. read more
