The space is clean and well decorated. Samantha greeted me upon entrance and paperwork/ID were exchanged. Samantha did a quick and thorough job of removing my jewelry. The following day, my procedure ended earlier than expected and I gave the shop a call to see if they might have availability sooner than my scheduled appointment. I was lucky and they did. I've been debating writing this review for a while because I didn't care enough, however, I don't want anyone to have the same experience I did. I had a horrible experience here around a year ago coming in to get my belly button pieced. Upon entering, I was rudely greeted by the owner and immediately felt uncomfortable by his lack of professionalism. I picked out the jewelry I had wanted and headed to the back room to get started with the piercer. I was definitely a bit nervous, which I had told them I usually am for all my piercings (I had 15 at the time, so this was nothing new for me). But the piercer had seemed so annoyed by my discomfort that I could see she wasn't even wanting to deal with me. Not even a kind word from her or the owner to make me feel any for comfortable. She checked to see if my belly button had the right anatomy for the piercing, and she said it wouldn't be right for me. I strongly felt she wasn't being honest, and rather had just not wanting to deal with a nervous customer. And I had asked if I could get a second opinion from someone else there. She was hesitant to allow that, but eventually brought in the owner. He seemed annoyed that he had to come see me as well, and they both then told me the same thing - that I did not have the right anatomy for this piercing and that my body would 100% reject the piercing if I had gotten it done. I'm not a professional at all, but my friend I came with had the same piercing and she told me I definitely DID have the correct anatomy and that I probably would have an even better one than she did. The owner and piercer were being EXTREMELY rude at this point and very disrespectfully kicked me out of the store. My friend had suggested we go elsewhere since neither of us believed those rude workers and so we did. At the next place, I was even more nervous since I had just had such a negative experience at Green Light Body Piercing. And I was scared I would be treated horribly anywhere I went, which was not the case. At this next place, I was treated very politely (as a customer should) and when the piercer had asked to take a look at my belly button to see if I had the correct anatomy, she responded it was "perfect!" Clearly she was correct, and I was right to assume Green Light was just being rude and unprofessional because 1 year later, and my piercing has not only healed beautifully, but healed way faster than average. It was pretty much fully healed within 2 months with NO complications at all and I couldn't be more happy. Basically, do not trust Green Light with their rude workers and false opinions. If I had listened to them, I would've went home disappointed and never had gotten this beautiful piercing. read more

I did not actually get a piercing (I was about 5 seconds away from it) but I had an incredible experience here and will definitely be back to actually get one LOL I came in randomly one day and made an appointment for later on based off of positive yelp reviews. Fish was giving me my piercing and was so informative, kind, and knowledgeable, and made the pre-piercing process fun and easy. After chatting we realized it wasn't a great idea for me to get pierced right now (I'm about to go abroad and I'll be swimming, it won't heal in time). Fish was so understanding and cool about it and welcomed me to come back whenever I return (I was worried I'd wasted his time and felt really bad!). I needed to have two piercings removed for an MRI and was having a hard time doing it myself. I was able to make a same day appointment with Samantha who took about 2 minutes to remove the rings. She scheduled an appointment the following day to come back for new jewelry. Rob helped me choose what I wanted; he was very patient with my indecisiveness and was excellent at explaining what would and wouldn't work. I went to Fish before he had his own studio, I've gotten all of my piercings except my septum done by him (including this visit that makes 7, with one more being supervised by Fish)?and he is so kind, professional, and skilled. APP certified, uses high quality titanium and offers a great selection of jewelry, if you're looking for good quality this is it. Went in today to get 2 conch piercings and it was super safe COVID wise, everything was appointment only so there was only max of 4 people inside at a time. Got a fancy 3 white opal topper for one of mine, I didn't really even pay attention to the placement but Fish made sure everything tied in together. I called to get a replacement post for a piercing and was able to get an appointment the same day. The shop smelled like cleaning solution, but not over powering. The shop smelled and looked clean, and organized. I reviewed the selection of jewelry and decided to keep what I had. Samantha was very nice and had a replacement post back in my ear in no time. The piercing shop I have been to in the past is a bit of a distance away (I moved) and can be difficult for me to get to, so it's great to know of a good shop near home. read more

Got my piercing back in April/March time. When I walked in at first and said I had an appointment a bald guy laughed and said "no you don't" ... I checked my phone and certainly did. He warmed up after that sure, but we don't need to be rude at first right? That moment stuck with me. The piercing was a second lobe piercing, nothing major like cartilage. I chose my jewelry, which turned out to be an obscene amount because it was "white gold". I believed them, but the earring didn't even come with a box or card...just the earring. I got out for somewhere around $200 after it all for a lobe piercing and earring. I follow to the protocol for the months to come, disinfect. I had my other two lobes pierced as an adult so I knew. When the three months was more than up, somewhere between three and four, I took the piercing out, ready to use the piercing for another earring. The earring I purchased was a huge gauge for a new piercing. I clean and put one of my actual gold studs in for the months to come because the piercing is still hurting and crusty. Now I took it out, a keloid is forming, and the piercing was a waste of time. I've gone to these "fancy" piercing artist shops before for my left lobe. They also overcharged. It took forever to heal, and actually did eventually. Then I went to a regular tattoo piercing shop for much cheaper and that piercing healed quickly. All hollow needle. Truly bothered by the waste of money on this. Reading any negative review shows me the business just retorts in a rude fashion instead of reflecting on their ways. Wish them the best with that. Edit: The owner has responded with his snark, blaming the client always and being demeaning. While also revealing personal information about me and my purchase...your business is a joke and you're an entitled white man who gets off on speaking down to people. I will get a piercing literally anywhere else for way less hassle & a faster healing process. Thanks! read more

I went to GLBP with my niece to offer moral support while she got her nose pierced. she warned them that he was prone to passing out, and Fish could not have been kinder, or more helpful. He put her in the right position; provided a bottle of water, smelling salts, and a peanut butter and jelly snack. He explained everything in detail as he was doing it. I got my tragus pierced here, by Fish. It was my first cartilage piercing and I saw that Green Light has great reviews, so I trusted them. I initially came in to see if I could get a forward helix, but he said that I just didn't have the anatomy for one. Thats ok, I figured there's nothing I can do. I already wanted to get my tragus pierced for a while too, so I had done my research for both before the appt. He gave me the aftercare directions pamphlet as well as explaining it, and I thought he was a little sarcastic but overall I was happy and excited about my piercing! The aftercare pamphlet said to "avoid directly washing the piercing" in the shower, so I didn't, and Fish told me at my appointment to gently pat it dry with a pinched paper towel. It developed a nasty irritation bump, and the swelling would not go down after several weeks, so I made 2 additional checkup appointments to try to resolve the issues. Fish was incredibly condescending both times. He told me that I should, in fact, be washing the piercing directly under the water and that he would "Never tell anyone to use paper towel on a piercing, ever.". I went to Reddit, and multiple people told me that I needed a longer bar to accommodate the swelling. I mentioned it during my second appt, and Fish gave me a hard time about going to the internet for piercing advice and told me that I didn't need a longer bar. Right after that, he said that he needed to put in a longer bar for the swelling! The whole time I felt like I was going in circles and that Fish was being purposefully misleading just to get a kick out of being condescending during the follow-ups. Another friend who got pierced here had the exact same experience. I got a consultation at Ironclad and the swelling almost entirely cleared within two weeks, so I might be able to finally get the jewelry downsized after 6 months. I didn't even feel stupid once during the whole consultation! They also told me that I could fit two forward helix piercings in my ear. Weird experience here. Went in to get my nipples pierced and I had a friend with me. Maybe it was the owner, but he got so upset when my friend tried to come in the shop. He was rude about it even though my friend said she would sit outside. He kept going on about how she can't be in there even when she asked to look at jewelry to buy. I understand the rules, but he was rude even though we were following the rules and what he was saying. Then he wouldn't stop talking about it... Next, he let her in after all the rudeness because I was there to get my nipples pierced. After that, they refused to pierce my nipples and belly due to concerns that I appreciate, but such a turn off after starting the appointment in such a rude way. Even if they agreed to pierce me, I'm not sure if I would do it. My friend bought jewelry she like so not all was lost I guess, but don't expect to be welcomed in a nice way when you go in. read more

This is the only place I will go in this area to get a piercing. I've gotten pierced by both of them and I've gotten, I believe, 4 piercings there so far. Super clean and sanitized which I always expect from a piercing shop but you'd be surprised how rare this level of cleanliness/care is taken in a piercing studio. Jewelry is excellent quality and I love that you can get pierced with pretty/more decorative jewelry. The people are friendly and nice. I love that they still keep the shop empty and by appointment only and that they still require masks. When I'm getting a new open wound and I can choose the environment I certainly prefer to be in as clean a space as possible!!
