I was looking through the…read moreracks and found everything was very trendy and super cute, however when I tried to find my size I was unable to find anything over a size Large or size 30 waist (size 8). When I approached the owner about finding something in another size she mentioned that she carried sizes that were appropriate to her customer base and if she stocked items with every size available she wouldn't make any money. Basically shaming me for needing a larger size. I wasn't asking for anything extreme just a size XL (to fit the girls) or a size 10 jeans. I don't need the rude attitude and I'll happily take my business downtown to another boutique in town that doesn't passively fat shame women.

I asked for a manager and the manager said there weren't any more there but the price was the one from corporate. This doesn't seem to be fair considering if I went to another register there wouldn't have been any issue about the item and would have gotten it for the price that it scanned up. I don't think this is right of Gabe's especially when I spent a lot of money on this visit. I am seriously considering returning all of what I purchased and not give them any of my money in the future for this type of customer service.

I went to the men's section and to look for both socks and shirts. It's hard to find cotton socks here or at competitors like this. The shirts, were really lacking. I walked in and was promptly greeted with a "welcome to Plato's!", followed by a smile so warm it brought back memories of Christmas mornings with my family. I brought in three trash bags full of old clothes I had laying around my house and it took them about an hour to go through them. The worker who began sorting through my bags, Kelsey, was by far the greatest retail employee I've ever come in contact with. She was sweet, friendly, and extremely productive. I wish I had brought in more clothes just so I could have had an excuse to talk to her a little longer!!! Lindsey finished up my order and was just as helpful and hard-working as Kelsey. I sought out a few locations that I should hit up to see if I could grab some new clothing at a decent price. I came here in hopes that I would succeed. I showed up just as they were opening and found it to be a bit eerie. Hardly anyone in the store and the employees doing what looked like closing tasks that didn't get completed. I even had to move a time or two as they were vacuuming under the racks. I felt more in the way than I should have. I initially went in and right back to the kitchen and houseware section. I was kind of impressed with the Burlington location. Unlike some that I have been to, this was the perfect size. No shrinking of the floor and putting up makeshift walls. It was bright and organized. Albeit, some areas were lacking items. I scanned through the dress shirts really quick and was about to give up until I was the clearance section. I was looking for long-sleeved dress type shirts, for work. I was skeptical to try them on at first, but I gave it a try right on the floor, it's easier to try on a button up shirt without a dressing room than other clothing items. I was able to find two shirts here and was quite happy. Heading to the register I also checked out a few items there, grabbed new phone holder for my vehicle. Guess what, that thing broke already.
