I used Yelp to look at 8-9 different house cleaning providers in the area, read all of the reviews, asked about prices, etc. I found that Ana's Detailed House Cleaning presented as the best option for me: prices were reasonable, ratings and reviews indicated they did good work and had been doing it for quite a few years, and above all else they were very responsive over Yelp's messaging service. While I did see a few 1 and 2-star ratings, after reading those reviews I found most of them to be weird complaints from years and years ago. They're not indicative of current service. The promptness and attentiveness, combined with being intentional about explaining their services and answering questions in a reasonable amount of time, showed to me they were taking their work seriously. I started with a Deep Cleaning, which was just finished today. They did a great job. They caught little issues other house cleaners have ignored (dust under the fridge, for example) and went above and beyond to make the beds in a nice and well-presented manner. They were also friendly to my cats. I'm looking forward to having them come regularly.

The most impressive thing of all is that they managed to clean our kitchen hood. We rent and when we moved in six years ago it was already dripping grease, it was so gunked up (like, it was literally coming out of the light and fan switches). We hired cleaners when we first moved in but they looked at the hood and said it couldn't be done, so ever since we never bothered to clean it or look into getting it cleaned. They have also made sure to have at least two staff cleaning the apartment so that my 1100 sq apt is usually done in less than two hours. I explained that I wanted a deep cleaning done since the home had collected dust. She worked with me and my schedule and shifted around some other jobs to fit in a quick cleaning for me. Although this wasn't what I originally wanted, it was enough to get the place dusted off since it was unused for sometime. The reason why I say the service is even better, she reached back out to me when she did have time and extra hands. Her team came out about a week later, and performed a very thorough deep cleaning. Not a single spot, tile, or baseboard was left untouched. I was very happy with the service, pricing, and cleaning. I received a quick response for a request for a cleaning of my 2bd 2 bath apartment and was quoted a flat rate of $190, which was a decent price. 2. She arrived on time and sent a message saying that she was on her way before arriving. 3. She said that she used eco friendly products 4. She was very friendly. Cons 1. I didn't notice this until after she left, but She only swept and mopped around the furniture. She did not move any of the furniture around or sweep under furniture. For example, there was still dust and a piece of paper under my bed and I have a platform bed, so it's easy to clean under it. I have a bassinet and crib (both on wheels) in the bedroom, these were not moved and there was still dust under them. I had to sweep the bedroom again after she left. 2. While she was still cleaning, my partner noticed that there was still soap scum on the walls, on the soap dish and the sliding door of the 2 bathtubs. We had to explain that she needed to clean the wall tiles in the bathtub (not the grout), the soap dish and the glass door. I've never had to explain this to someone before. Once we mentioned it she did clean it, but it was odd to need to mention it since it was so obvious! 3. She came alone to clean my 2bd 2 bath apartment. I'm accustomed to a team of two so that the jobs is completed thoroughly. She seemed in a hurry. 4. I also needed to sweep my living room again after she left and although she moped, there was still a stain on the floor that I easily wiped up with a Clorox wipe. Overall I wasn't happy with the job and was upset that I needed to clean again afterwards.
