DO NOT USE. We used them for about 3 years every other week. They did an okay job but definitely rushed, would miss things and would consistently leave lights on. They also were inconsistent with timing, say 9am and come at 5pm which was frustrating. Then they came as normal and turned the shower handle too hard and it broke completely. So what did they do? They left it like that, leaving water going all day. A $411 plumbing bill later, we're now paying for their mistake of rushing. Ridiculous. read more

This company is not a reputable business. Their workers ruined the kitchen floors in the house we were renting and now I have had to pay $750 to get the floor fixed plus the $285 they charged me for the service itself. I have spent over $1000 total. The company never returned my calls so we had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This company claims to have insurance which would have easily fixed the mess their workers caused. Maybe they don't have insurance. The owner never once returned a call to me and they took multiple days to talk to their employees. I had no choice but to file with the BBB. It is my right as a consumer. I have been charged for a service that damaged my home and they simply do not care. They have said that we caused the stain and didn't blink an eye. This place has got to get it together. Beware of this company. They will clean your house for months and then send you a large bill and demand payment immediately. (Sounds like a bookkeeping error??) When you leave payment with the people that come to clean, the payments never make it to the office. They will then accuse you of lying and literally call you a liar. If you want to deal with a company full of incompetence then call Green Apple. If you want to deal with a company that knows how to properly bill customers, & has trusting employees who turn in payment to the office manager, call someone else. read more

I generally only review restaurants, but I figured since I'm familiar with this company, I would put in my two cents. Green Apple Cleaning is a very professional, responsive cleaning company. The owner is hands-on, and he takes pride in the quality of work his company produces. If you have concerns/issues, which is bound to happen since we all have different opinions of what we deem clean and varying expectations as to what should be cleaned, he will ensure the situation is remedied. My husband recommended that we hire a cleaning service to reduce stress since we both work full-time. They charged nearly $200 a month but I still had to clean my house and ran out of cleaning supplies since they used my personally purchased cleaning supplies. For the price, I expected my floors washed and my entire house at least dusted and cleaned with a broom. The first two employees griped about my filthy house (my husband speaks Spanish fluently so he understood them). They complained about the alleged large size of my modest ranch house and refused to clean the "laundry room, which is 1/2 of my finished basement." I was annoyed that they did not clean the walls, the stove, and the floor boards. They also failed to clean the refrigerator, so I took on this task myself. I don't mean to sound snobby, I mow my own lawn, I cook most meals at home, and I generally shop on clearance racks for the best deals. They were frequently late for appointments and were irate that I did not have a vacuum cleaner (all of my floors are hardwood, and only cover rugs need to be vacuumed, which I do with a $50 cheap rug cleaner.) On one occassion, they had trained cleaners who did an exceptional job. However, on most occasions we had to call to even see if they arrived since the house was in the same condition I left it in. We recently used Green Apple Cleaning for an event we put on. It was very last minute and we called Patryk with Green Apple a few days before. He was so accommodating and met our unique needs no problem! The day of the event we ended up being delayed a few hours. Their staff showed up earlier than we even asked and patiently waited with us for two hours before we could get on to the site. I interviewed 4 companies and felt that Green Apple was going to be the best fit for my schedule and price. While they weren't the cheapest, they were able to come each week at the same time. First cleaning - was excellent. I was home and walked around observing each of the three ladies who were working in my home. I was extremely happy to have my home cleaned the way I would have done it if I had the time. Second cleaning - one of the workers broke (and by broke I mean completely stripped the gears off the mechanism of the blinds that cover my sliding glass door) the blinds by not opening (tilting) them before drawing them across the door. The minimum amount of money to replace this brand new mechanism was $100 not including installation because I'm unable to do it myself. My installer said it was very clear that she had attempted to draw the blinds across the door multiple times (unsuccessfully) and that the person operating them did not know what they were doing. I called the office and was told that their contract says they're not responsible for breakages like that. What the WHAT? Why would you have an employee operate something they're not trained to operate?! My compensation? $15 credit off my next cleaning. Third (and final cleaning) - I'm home, confined to bed because of a bad fall and I'm watching them clean my curved screen HD tv. I now have finger damage to the screen. Later that day I discovered that one of the glass bottles I had set into place with museum glue had been removed from it's 'stationary' place and it fell onto the floor, shattering. I called to cancel my service and now it's been a week - they still have not returned my keys. read more

They are rude, slow, charge by the hour... I paid 120 for a move in cleaning of a one bedroom, really it was the kitchen and bathroom. They made me empty the cabinets myself because she claimed there wouldn't be enough time ( they left a half hour early and barely stayed 1.5 hours). I restocked all the cabinets also. When I asked her to clean under a small rug, she looked at me and said "me?!" Their platinum move in cleaning is basically a lie. I asked her to clean on top of the wood beams in the living room which had a lot of dust, she reluctantly made an attempt and almost left my bean bag covered in dust. I asked them to wipe the doors, and that for them was too much and I got eye rolls. They were an unpleasant 1.5 hours and their manager just charged my card without calling ever to see how they did. The cleaners always do a through job and I love coming home to a fresh house. Today was the first time I had a cleaning service and I did so because I have 2 small children and couldn't handle a move out clean on my own. Green Apple cleaning promised me I would get the best cleaning with the Platinum Clean so I figured I couldn't go wrong and was so relieved to have this done for me. I have a few issues with the service today, the girls were very slow and kept telling me they were also done when hours kept going by. One of the girls was on her phone several times throughout the visit and after they were there about an hour I noticed a large dark stain on my kitchen floor that appeared to be some sort of oil or grease. They were working on the kitchen at that time so I assumed they were cleaning the area. I was very wrong, after 3 1/2 hours went by they tell me that they couldn't get the stain up and that it was there when they arrived. This is incredibly upsetting as they were playing me for a fool and saying the stain was there and it absolutely was not. The movers had just left and there was nothing in the house to cause a stain of that nature. They were implying I was lying and as a mother this is upsetting to me because my son was standing next to me during our conversation. This is unacceptable. There were other areas of the floor that weren't cleaned either that I was able to easily remove myself with a sponge and water. I have taken pictures and video of all issues. No one has called to even ask about my service! Now I have to deal with fixing the issue. This company is insured and I expect them to be the upstanding and honest company that they claim to be on their website and fix the problem they caused. read more

The cleaners appeared on time for the 10:30 a.m. February 8 cleaning service. They left at about 12:15 p.m. (I needed to leave my house at 12:00 noon for a 1:00 p.m. meeting at College Park, but I couldn't --- their boss, Bart knew this). They vacuumed my upstairs carpeted floor (one bedroom, one hallway, and one flight of stairs) with ONLY an upright Oreck vacuum. Thus, none of the dirt that was in the crevices between the carpeted area and wall were lifted at all. Who cleans without vacuum attachments? A few days after they had cleaned the house -- 3 days to be exact (we went away after February 8), we found the splashguard in the upstairs bathroom to be detached. The lady who was cleaning SHOULD HAVE told me about this especially since I was sitting in the room next to the bathroom while she was cleaning it. The splashguard was not detached before they got there -- it came undone after they cleaned the tub. The splashguard becoming detached in not a big deal; we can fix it BUT not telling me about it and keeping it on the hush -- IS A BIG THING! I don't trust the cleaners that Green Apple Cleaning hires and therefore, do not trust Green Apple Cleaning either. The cleaners told me to check my downstairs as they were mopping the downstairs wood floor and about to leave. The floor was WET, if I walked on it, there would be marks on it. So, I couldn't check my downstairs area before they left. I told Bart (the lady whom I talked to when making this cleaning appointment and later emailed) about the first two problems and CUSTOMER SERVICE was an ABSOLUTE ZERO! I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Save your money and find a different cleaning company! read more

I should have read some of the other reviews before hiring them. Hired Green Apple to clean my house after we moved out - the one-time "Platinum" cleaning. The price was about $100 lower than another service quoted me, so I went with it. When I saw the house after they left, I was not satisfied. They did clean most of what they said they would and did a fine job. However, there were clumps of dust on the table and floor from when they dusted a ceiling fan overhead. The kitchen counter and sink had streaks on them. They clearly did not sweep/mop the kitchen floor on the way out, as there was visible dust/trash on it. Some of the blinds and light fixtures had not been dusted. They did not clean the outside of the fridge. Overall, they did clean most of the house well. However, the things that they missed were things I think should have been obvious and are things that contribute significantly to how the house feels when you walk in. I called them right away and asked them to come back. They have a 48-hour guarantee. They said they could only come back for a half hour and wouldn't have time to do all of the things that I listed. They did come back and fixed some of the items, but not all. I would not use them again. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this cleaning company and do not recommend them! I scheduled a platinum cleaning, which is quite pricy, and expected a full top to bottom cleaning for my apartment. My apartment is a small one-bedroom and four people showed up to do the cleaning so there is no excuse for everything not being done. I was in my apartment the whole time and saw the employees tossing my items to the ground to dust off shelves instead of placing them down, which was not respectful of my things. They did such a rough job cleaning my windows that they BROKE my blinds. Of the items on the website that were listed for a platinum cleaning they did not do even half of what was listed. They didn't even make my bed!! They also did not go inside any closets, they did not clean the inside or outside of my kitchen cabinets, they did not clean the wall of my shower (!!), they did not lift the sofa cushions to clean the inside of the sofa, and there were multiple areas in my bedroom that were not dusted. When I called the following day (a Friday) to schedule someone to come back and correct the mistakes I was told I would receive a call back to reschedule. The day went by and no one called. The following Monday I received a call from an employee saying she was on her way over, but I was at work that day and unable to let anyone in. After that I heard nothing from them! A MONTH later I checked my checking account and saw that I was charged the full $160 dollars. I was outraged-- if they are incompetent enough not to fix their error I should't be penalized for that. I called immediately and left a message explaining my frustrations and asked for someone to call me. No one called. Two days later I again called and got through to someone and they said they would give me back 20 bucks which is utter insanity- that is still $140 dollars for a very poor cleaning job! The company took no responsibility for their mistakes and blamed me for not calling back. I'm sorry, but as the customer I shouldn't have to hound you to return my calls. Long story short: - Blinds were broken - Cleaning I was promised was not delivered - Two separate occasions I did not receive phone calls back when I called about important issues - No accountability by the company to fix or admit their mistakes Even an "I'm sorry" that I was disappointed in the service didn't happen- they did nothing to try to keep me as a customer or act like they cared that I was unhappy with their service. read more

We fired these people after about four months. We primarily hired them to do weekly cleanings of our house. The staff gratuitously abused our bric-a-brac -- items were often put back on the wrong shelves or knocked over, and we even found books that had been taken off the shelf and put back with the spine facing in. Eventually, they broke two figurines. The staff made a clumsy effort to put one back together and concealed the damage done to another, rather than bringing the mishap to our attention. They also ignored direct requests to clean specific areas (e.g., we asked them to clean mildew in the shower, they did not) and walked off with some of OUR cleaning supplies. Secondarily, I hired the company to do a cleanout of a rental property I own prior to a new tenant coming in. Shortly after Green Apple did this cleaning, a realtor I had in to assess the property told me that I "really ought to get the place professionally cleaned up." The job they did was that inadequate. To Green Apple's credit, they came back out to touch up the work for free, but even after that they did not do a satisfactory job -- for example, the light fixtures in the dining room, which are at eye level, obviously hadn't been touched and were still filthy. Green Apple seems to be having some staffing issues. We rarely had the same crew come through twice. The first time we pointed out some of the issues we were having to the owner, we were sent an "experienced" crew the following week who actually did a really good job. The week after that, though, we were right back to the caliber of crew who had been mangling our house and our possessions. Would not hire again for any reason. read more

I would not recommend Green Apple Cleaning because of their shoddy business practices. The owner Is arrogant and unapologetic for his own mistakes. We had used them to clean our house and prior to moving out I inquired about a move-out cleaning. The owner, Patryk Tararuj, told me to look at their website for a description and get back to him with a decision about which package would suit our needs. I did not call back, as we had made other plans with our realtor. We then received a bill in the mail for a Platinum Service, which we never requested or scheduled with him. I called Mr. Tararuj to explain that his employees: -were sent to clean our home at his own discretion, not ours -entered our home without our knowledge or consent -performed a "cleaning" on an already cleaned house. To then be billed twice for this is beyond the pale. Mr. Tararuj has now seen fit to turn this matter over to a highly questionable collection agency. I believe his business needs some scrutiny from the Better Business Bureau for his unpleasant customer relations practices, tax practices, and to ICE for his hiring practices. To say that I would never recommend this company is an understatement. read more

I have use this cleaning service a couple of times. I was very satisfied when They did the first cleaning. I did a deep cleaning and they did a great job. However the next couple of times I was not as satisfied. I had to walk back through the house to make sure they got everything. And they did not. I had to ask them to go back through and clean the rooms/areas they missed. And when They left after looking at my floors it looked like they just dragged a mop over my floors and didn't use anything to actually clean the floors. I was quoted two different prices with and without the basement. They charged me the correct amount once however the next time they overcharged me. They said the last time they didn't charge me enough so that was the price. And that is not what I spoke to the owner about. I have actually recommended this cleaning company to a couple people but I will be telling them not to use them now. read more

We used Green Apple for the first ever and selected the Gold package. The cleaners were on time, but within 10 minutes of being in our house, they broke a candle in the bathroom. The degree of cleaning was not thorough whatsoever. They missed two ceiling fans (guest room and living room) and there was dirt all over the guest bedroom duvet cover from what appears to be an attempt to dust/clean the ceiling fan or something else. While the guest bathroom floor was being mopped, the cleaning lady carelessly spilled the mop water into the floor vent, which caused it trickle down into ceiling vent in the kitchen. The vacuum cleaner that they used did not pick dirt or lint from the rug in the living room or the rooms upstairs. The trash was not collected from the guest room. The insides of our closets were not vacuumed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. We are VERY disappointed in your employees' carelessness with handling fragile objects and lack of thoroughness in carrying out all of the items that are included in the Gold Package. read more
