What else do you need to know, right?…read more I came for dinner at the Jones Family Project with a friend on a very cold winter's night and we were warmly welcome the moment we arrived. Our host lead us downstairs to a comfortable booth. I stuck with sides (£3.50 each): Roasted Brussels sprouts with avocados and pecans, truffled macaroni cheese and big chips (from the potato menu, of course). I also sampled some of my pal's calamari which was very tasty. For dessert, we both enjoyed the orange tart with crème fraîche, pistachios and cinnamon saffron syrup. I don't think I've received nicer service anywhere in London and the restaurant's soundtrack totally rocks. I'd make this my local if I lived in London!

Met my crew on this cold Saturday morning for our brunch session. JFP doesn't disappoint. Entry: bright, welcoming, few leaflets & notices of the neighborhood. Drinks: Every one we had was on point! Food: Yummy, tasty & appropriate sizes (aka you won't be hungry by the time the bill comes) it's also worth noting that I had the French Toast. Other places I've been make it sickly sweet.. Not in here. It's all good & proper crispy bacon! CRISP!! Service: always with a smile. Never intrusive & helpful with drink selections. Atmosphere: Bright, pretty, cosy, homey, cool, laid back. Yes, all those trendy buzz words. JFP has an upstairs bar/brasserie which is lovely & reminded me of an indoor floral art space. Tables are appropriately spaced. Downstairs is the restaurant which is quite big too. Toilets: clean but a few stalls missing loo roll (minus a star) Overall, this is a winner. We'll be coming back.

I ordered the King Prawn Scampi and Fries, while my husband had the Burger. Both arrived very quickly, but unfortunately, when I started eating mine, I found that some pieces of scampi were warm while others were noticeably colder. The Burger, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious. It gave the impression that the scampi had been pre-cooked and kept warm, with portions then being served at different temperatures. Soon after the food arrived, our waiter asked if everything was OK. I explained that, although the scampi was edible, it could have been hotter, and he immediately offered to replace it. As it was initially edible, I declined. Unfortunately, I then bit into a genuinely cold piece. By this point, the waiter had moved on to other tables, and asking for a replacement would have taken a little while. By the time he came back into our vicinity, I had eaten the fries and had been put off the scampi altogether. Another waiter cleared our plates but didn't ask whether there had been a problem with my meal, despite me having left most of it. Fortunately, our original waiter noticed this and asked the manager to come and speak to me, resulting in the scampi being removed from the bill. Unfortunately, the manager's response was disappointing. She offered what felt like a rather half-hearted apology and, from the way she dealt with the situation, left me feeling as though I should not return. It was a shame, because our waiter was excellent throughout and handled the situation exactly as I would have expected. Perhaps he should be the manager... just a thought!

The location on the river was stunning and mysterious, with sexy, moody lighting that made the whole place feel like a chic scene out of a movie. Exactly the vibe we were going for as we like to give expensive, stylish, and fun feels. We started with three amazing appetizers: a beautifully fresh seafood starter, a creamy burrata, and a delicate carpaccio. Then came the flatbreads straight from the wood oven which was crispy, bold, and just what we needed for sharing. For mains, the burgers were juicy and really elevated, the trout was perfectly cooked and flaky, and every bite tasted just as good as it looked (kinda small though). The drinks were fabulous! Especially the martinis, which were smooth, cold, and exactly what we needed. 4 starts is because the service wasn't that great, like, seriously. So much so that I would rather not talk about it and just give the -1 star. Stylish atmosphere, gorgeous river views, and great food and drinks... The Lighterman absolutely delivered on every level for our celebration dinner. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a sexy, special night out in London.

On top of that, the service was friendly (like the server actually loved the food too) and their recommendations were all welcome and on point. Perfectly sweet, the crunchy texture of merengue. Mascarpone cream. 5/5 on food, service, and the unpretentious ambiance. Come at 5pm before the crowd comes in for an early quiet dinner, otherwise at 7pm the restaurant starts to fill up. We arrived at around 7 pm and there were still big tables of kids having afternoon tea and so it was a bit loud and a different energy to what we were expecting. We asked to move table to somewhere a little more quiet. Drinks took a while to arrive and service was generally quite disappointing. We asked for ice for our water a couple of times and no one ever came to bring any. It's a bit like we were forgotten about. Cocktails were decent but not remarkable. The food was good - squid ink risotto with cuttle fish. Needed additional seasoning but was happy to do that myself and had to ask for Parmesan cheese. While the food was good, it was not good enough to merit a return visit. Prices are fair but service charge is automatically added and I don't think they earned it this time around. In all, an average evening.
