As an involved community business member here on the island I was shocked by the woman's behavior. I called in advance and I'm pretty sure she said her name was April. I didn't say that and I didn't deserve to be yelled at. She always has a bad attitude when I come there. Very sad. Terrible attitude and highly presumptuous.

In addition to the breath work, I did 40min in the infrared sauna at 130F. I was able to practice the breathing techniques in a toasty and clean private space. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. One star for front desk receptionist, five stars for medical staff. Looking at other reviews, I…read moresee this is a theme. My husband went to Urgent Care for potential broken toe. We had already reached max out-of-pocket with our insurance so owed nothing. Receptionist was incredibly rude to my husband, the kindest, most respectful person you could encounter. Cut him off and rudely demanded copay, telling him he was wrong and still owed it regardless. It's incredibly annoying for us to have to chase after reimbursement when we KNOW we don't owe, but outrageous when someone is rude about it. After our insurance paid the claim in full, I proceeded to leave two unreturned phone messages with the billing department. I also called Urgent Care directly and encountered a delightful person who told me the office manager was on vacation but gave me an email address to follow up. Unfortunately, she gave me the wrong address and it bounced back so I called AGAIN, when I knew the office manager was supposed to be back in the office. This time I encountered an INCREDIBLY RUDE person who repeatedly cut me off and rudely told me I couldn't have possibly left any messages with billing because she would have seen them. Being rude and telling someone that they're lying is just over the top and unnecessary. At some point, I finally said, "You know, my husband told me the person at the front desk who demanded the copay was incredibly rude while everyone else was lovely and I'm guessing it's you." At that point, she finally settled down and was reasonably decent with me. I'm an oncology social worker. I managed my mother's care when she had Alzheimer's. I manage my family medical care and insurance. I have a lot of experience communicating in the medical field. This woman should not be in customer service and certainly not the point person for people facing health crises. What a completely frustrating waste of my time.

When she texted me back, I was told the price would actually be $250 for a new client and $225 for established clients. I found this very concerning because the advertised price does not reflect the price being quoted. I am actually certified in colonics and have my own machine at home, but I was traveling and looking for a service while away. Having received colonics at several establishments on Maui, I have found the typical range to be around $90-$150, making a $250 charge extremely high compared to other providers. I encourage anyone considering this service to ask for the full price upfront and compare rates before booking.
