We thought it was great little getaway. I would give 4.5 cause you can't be perfect. Only thing I…read moredint like was the store closes early and no food during week. But there's a reason like not enough business to do it. Been nice to if had pizza corner pizzas to sell. Staff was nice no issues at all and I had a couple problems to deal with. I understand frustration with people especially when put in heat all day.

We arrived yesterday and the staff has been nothing but rude. I went down to the front desk this morning becuase I had put on my wrist band yesterday when we arrived way too tight. So I wait in line for 10 mins While said front desk staff rudely handle a phone call. I proceeded to tell him I put my bracelet on to tight for my comfort he then decided to embarrass me in front of all other costumers about how I'm trying to steal and give my bracelet to someone else and how could I think that was to tight. mind you I need this bracelet tell Wednesday when we check out. I let him cut the original off of my wrist. Very disappointed in this campground my group of 15 that booked two cabins and a campsite will not be spending our money here again. Pool hours are also horrible. 10:30 on a Monday pool still isn't open.

The bathroom and laundry are extremely clean and quiet. It is 5 exits away from the nearest Walmart. It is next door to Tilly's bar & grill(decent food) . Not too noisy though. No play area for the kids or organized activities of any kind. It is close to the freeway to get what you need, especially heading to Rochester Mayo clinic. If you have a camper trailer, this is an excellent value if you have an extended stay in Rochester, MN, especially for the mayo clinic. Highly recommended for a no nonsense rv park and value.

The sites are level gravel with paved drives, located north of the restaurant, along highway 52. It is noisy next to the highway. The sites have grass, but it hadn't been mowed when we were here. It had rained all week and our shoes were soaked walking in the tall wet grass. There are pine trees in some of the sites with pine cones. There are no picnic tables for campers to use. Pets are welcome. The street lights don't work in the park so it is dark. The office has the restrooms/showers, but you have to pay to take showers. The toilets and sinks are free and very clean. There were washers and dryers, but we didn't use them. There was a comfortable lounge. The office wasn't open when we got there and we never saw any one in there while we were there. You fill out a form provided outside the office door, and slide it under the office door. When someone gets in the office, they take the form and payment, then put it in an envelope and hang it on the outside of office door for you to pick up later. It's confusing the first time when you get here. The restaurant looks like the office. NOPE! This park is only open April to the fall. It was quite pricey ($45 per night) for just the hook ups, not having someone in the office, no picnic tables, unmowed yards, gravel lots, and pay to shower. If we had to come to this area again, we would stay here, but we would shop around for better prices. It was nice having a restaurant close by. Shopping is 5 minutes down the road.

Well, I'll say this much - it's certainly the best covered bridge I've ever been on. Looking at the…read moreinformation packets later, there are photos of this in the last decade with snow having totally collapsed the roof to be flat - it's wild to see how you can't even tell now. The bridge is all wood, with new supports after being moved around a lot. It was a nice time walking down it. I didn't expect a thrill ride, but I got what I was expecting! It is, historically speaking, pretty neat that they kept it. Great theme for the whole town. The park itself is huge and expansive, tons of space, some amazing trees, a great river, and when we were there, a very nice display of flags for Memorial Day. A genuinely huge park space, and a huge fun-looking castle-themed playground for kids, too.

Minnesota's only remaining functional covered bridge, it has been restored to authentic condition…read more The town lattice truss design spans the Zumbro River. It was completed in November 1869 and sort of looks like a barn. It is 116 feet long and the roadway is 15 feet wide. It is NOT open to vehicular traffic, having been moved about 100 yards from its original location to keep it available for viewing for posterity. You can walk or bicycle across the bridge and see it from both sides. The bridge is the centerpiece of the park and there are restaurants and such nearby. There is parking and several captions that provide history and context. [Review 20718 overall - 130 in Minnesota - round number 1700 of 2023.]
