There's good trails, geocaching onsite, a little mini-store at the booth, and lots of picnic spots. The sites are well maintained as are the trails, the outhouses and the signage. But what we loved most about Red Lodge was it's proximity to many other local attractions, even during this time of COVID-19. One could feasibly come out to Red Lodge and then buy most of the fresh groceries you'd need at local farms and markets. We visited Pearson's Berry Farm and picked up berry treats of all kinds, and we also visited Edgar Farms where we picked up meat and veg. The Danish-Canadian museum and cultural centre are also nearby. There's so much to do at the campsite itself, and within a 20 minute drive from Red Lodge, we're really looking forward to coming back again.

First, I was overcharged for a one night stay, owner said it was a long weekend premium charge. What a load of crap! Just a cash grab. Funny bow no other campground anywhere near Red Deer, was charging this premium. Secondly, the washrooms/showers were filthy dirty, with mud on the floors. hand driers didn't work, flush urinals barely worked, toilets were filthy. Third, beach area was weed infested. Even the area where kids would play on a water slide, was filled with weeds. Fourth, boat launch area was hard to access and not up to the task. Fifth, docks were rickety and in some cases, dangerous to walk on let alone tying up your boat. Some areas were falling apart. Sixth, the whole place stunk, smelled of rotting seaweed. Seventh, camp store was seriously understocked, filthy and needed remodeling. Eighth, kids running around and yelling even after 11:00 at night. Don't they go to bed sometime? Nineth, most of the people staying there looked like the dregs of society. Some looked like they lived there permanently. Tenth, this place looked more like a wrecking yard. Deri licked vehicles, and car parts scattered here and there. Even a car for sale in the yard. I could go on but you get the idea. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It could use new owners and a complete makeover. It is not worth what you pay for believe me. Don't camp here. Go somewhere else.

It is surprisingly difficult to find late season campground in southern Alberta. Most close after…read morethe labour weekend but thankfully we lucked out with Tolman East. This year it is open until October 12 on a first-come-first served basis at a cost of $25/night. The campground itself is perfect for tenting or a small trailer. I wouldn't recommend bringing an RV here as it doesn't have hookups at any of the sites. I loved that all of the sites felt private and weren't on top of each other like some campgrounds. They also appeared to have some great double site options if you're camping in a group. Bathrooms are pretty basic - pit toilets without running water - but they were pretty clean which is the most important thing. There is also a playground available for the kids. Other than that, the amenities are slim. This isn't a "party campground" and things got quiet pretty quickly as the sun went down. There were only 3-4 other sites in use.

The showers we're usually clean and they are cleaned regularly. The campsites are good. Lots of tree coverage making it nice to have some privacy at your site. There are flush toilets scattered about. Well lit. Which is good and bad. Bad re: attracting bugs and good because night time is pretty dark. This campground has water and dump sites. It's usually a busy campground so depending on when you're coming or going the line ups will be what they will be. Great walking trails. Bikes are good too. Not for every trail, but given skill levels ... Just don't be silly. The townsite is a good distance of a walk, but if you're wanting to be outdoors this is a good thing to do. I mean, the townsite does have ice cream.

The flush needs to be pulled upward and the faucet water had a crazy water pressure. Free warm bath though unlike others. Over all it's pretty fair and manageable and not so baf after all.

There is a Host onsite, they sell firewood, and the campground has a sani-dump. Washrooms with showers were well maintained and clean. If you stay, make sure to check out the nearby museum.

I've been to Gull Lake three times now and it's a pretty good spot for a small gather (under 20…read morepeople). It's family friendly too so don't expect to bring your beer here and go skinny dipping. There's a beach that's about 1 KM long and you can walk pretty far out in the water before it even reaches four feet high. Probably over 100 yards. In the beach is also a fairly new playground for the kiddes and behind the beach is room for camp grounds and trailers. It's not exactly a huge Lake/ Camp area but it's nice. It feels secluded too because there's trees around the whole area. Bathrooms were descent and I didn't ever have to wait in line. The woman's washroom has a shower too but the men's don't. Not sure why. There's also a Bible Camp that runs just near the Lake and is the turn off just before it so if you get lost you'll know pretty quick.

A place where parents can have alot of fun while their kids do too. Fireworks on Sept long weekend were great. Shout out to gram who was working 9am to 10pm when we arrived.
