I am a Marine Veteran who has had to utilize many different storage facilities to house my…read morebelongings during my time on deployments over the years, and this has been by far the worst experience I have ever had regarding the storage of my belongings. I had no choice but to choose this storage facility because they were the only facility with vacant units in the Greeley Area. I called literally every self storage place within a 20 mile radius. I had no choice but to put my things in storage last minute so Storage One was my only option. I noticed some issues with the business immediately, but I had no room to be choosy so I kept an open mind best I could. First off, there is no front office, or office building at all for that matter. Someone had to commute to meet me for the showing of the unit. Second, you could see that many of the unit doors had been attempted to be pried open and they don't have any kind of on-site surveillance or theft protection or guard or anything other than the previously pried open door to your unit and the latch. Also it states in the lease they will not be liable for any stolen goods. You would think they could use a little bit of the money made to protect their customer's property. Third, the only way to make payment is through mail. This is where they screwed me over completely. I sent checks to them every single month for what I owed but a few months into it I got a letter in the mail saying I owe almost 550 bucks and they're about to auction off my property. I had like 20 grand in stuff in there and they were going to sell it all because they claim I never sent any payment when I did for a fact and quadruple-checked the mailing address I put. I tried getting ahold of their admin for weeks and could not get ahold of anyone that could help me with my problem. All the while late fees keep piling up and I get more letters stating I need to contact them or my things will be auctioned. The numbers posted online for them don't get answered or returned, the numbers on the mailed documents don't get answered or returned, it was like they don't exist. I never got a copy of my lease in the mail either like I was supposed to so i couldnt check that for contact info. Finally I find a number that gave me a return call. I explain what is going on and try to tell them that I have sent payment each and every month and they make me feel like I am a liar and a scam artist when I am the one getting screwed over?? They tell me without proof of sending payment there is nothing that can be done and I owe them every penny in full or my stuff is gone forever. All I had for proof was my check copy-2's and that wont constitute as proof on any kind. So I had to give in and pay them so my stuff wont be auctioned off and i can get it back to move to another location. I am pretty sure they have no administrative presence in the company and they just own the storage property and run it out of an apartment or something. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS PEOPLE!! THEY ARE CROOKS!!

If Zero was a recommendation - they have definitely earned it. The fraud department of my bank is handling this now. ---- The reservation I placed, through a phone call with U-Haul directly, was magically cancelled upon arrival and not by me. The attendant could see the original reservation (because I had a reservation # and confirmation email) and there were pick up location specific comments added to it. They had to make a "new reservation" on-site and the amount I was quoted almost doubled. Criminal. Needed the vehicle for less than 2 hours and it took 30 minutes to get the actual vehicle. The exterior of the vehicle was muddy. The interior was dusty. The attendant asked for my phone number three times, made me read out loud my credit card number, handed me one sheet of a three page contract, didn't provide a copy or a receipt, and was genuinely one of the worst employees I've dealt with in a very, very long time. I will definitely not be recommending this location to anyone (and if my information is compromised best believe there will be consequences) but genuine disappointment with U-Haul stands as well. The first reservation I attempted to place through the website, I called the location to confirm and they didn't have the vehicle at all and wouldn't have anything even available at all for four days. That company was the one that told me to call U-Haul directly to place the reservation that magically disappeared. Ridiculous. Never again.

And the place has changed a LOT! More storage has been added and they are fresh, new and clean! No more vehicles on site! They replaced the vehicle and RV storage with more storage units... Ready to go! And since they are outside, they are easy to back your truck up to and fill. A little hard to find at first but well worth the search. The owner is friendly and worked with me, even after hours! Smaller storage company means he keeps a close eye on things around the facility, too!!

They also have storage units that are inside and climate controlled so you don't have to worry about the crazy weather. The indoor unit that is climate controlled is very nice because it also has another security feature to get inside the indoor units. The indoor units are also monitored with multiple cameras! So I like the added security features the indoor units have! The owner is awesome He took the time to explain to me what each unit can fit in and how I should pack my stuff Inside. He also let me use one of there Dollies so it was much easier for me to move my big tubs and boxes into the unit. If I knew what it was I wouldn't of been asking the woman. okay fine I let that slide. about a week after I had put in my code to get into the storage and once I was in I stepped into the office to ask her a questions and she had the audacity to ask me how I had gotten in! umm through the code I have and because I pay for a storage here? oh ok she answered. was she thinking I had gotten in without permission?! she is racist and treated me and my wife very poorly. the owner should have a serious talk with her and teach her a few manners and how to be more professional. needless to say I only stayed there a month and I was done with her attitude. DO NOT GO HERE! HORRIBLE SERVICE! GO SPEND YOUR MOENY SOMEWHERE ELSE :)
