Accountability is something very much needed in today's society and it's refreshing to see a company willing to acknowledge their mistakes and make an effort to correct it. My car looks amazing and there is no wind noise coming in the cabin. I may have been in the few but I hope this was a good learning experience for everyone and remember, communication and trust are the foundation to any successful relationship. My car had hail damage from the hail storm that came through Denver in May 2017. All Denver body shops were booked a year out so I decided to look around outside of Denver and based on reviews, we chose Blue Ribbon. Front desk was friendly. This is where my experience stopped being a positive one. Dropped my 2013 VW GLI off on Nov. 14, 2017. They asked if I wanted to receive text messages on the progress, which sounded great, wouldn't have to call to get updates. After two weeks, haven't heard anything, so I call and they say they haven't started working on it yet because of insurance delay (Blue Ribbon wanted to total my car, insurance did not). I asked why I hadn't been notified, they said they had been sending texts but they had not. When I told them I hadn't received any texts, they checked the computer and did a test, it sent a text saying I had been opted in to receive messages. After talking to them about the insurance delay, I called my insurance company to see the status on the claim and see if they were going to total my car. Insurance said they gave the go ahead to start repairs but Blue Ribbon said they did not receive the ok. After some back and forth with the insurance company and Blue Ribbon, work finally started. Blue Ribbon also called my insurance company to have them call me to let me know that it's not Blue Ribbons fault. This struck me as odd to have the insurance company call me to deflect blame. Flash forward another two weeks, I get a text saying my car is in the paint department. This was on Dec. 14, 2017. I called on Dec. 20,2017 to get a rough idea on when the car would be completed. They told me it had not been painted yet but they were planning on being done before the end of the year. I called on Dec. 27, 2017 to see if they were going to be done by Friday Dec. 29, 2017, they said they will try very very hard. It wasn't done until Jan. 2, 2018. Picked my car up on Jan. 2, 2018 about 10 minutes before they closed. Overall, car looks great but I will need to clean the inside windows as there are streaks, fingerprints and what looks like sticker marks. Also, when I go over 60 mph, there is a whistle coming from the top right of the window. Checked my doors to make sure they weren't open. Now I am going to have to drive back up there to have them check the window seals. Blue Ribbon's mission is "We are committed to making your unfortunate situation a pleasant one, regardless of the circumstances." Well my situation was not pleasant, you failed Blue Ribbon. My advice, choose a body shop that pays your deductible (tons of them will). That way if you have to wait 7 weeks for your car to get fixed, you won't be out your deductible. Also, choose a body shop close by, in the long run, it will be more convenient when you have to take your car back to have them fix their work.

When I went to pick it up, the grill guard was laying in the back of the Jeep. They had taken the guard off, but not the brackets. The lady at the front desk tried to tell me that THE BRACKET MOUNTS came stock on the jeep. I explained to her that they absolutely were not stock and that they had come with the grill guard when I bought it. So that makes them part of it and I needed them in order to put the guard on the other jeep that I was getting. She tried going back-and-forth with me until one of the mechanics walked up and looked at her like she was crazy for arguing so much about it, then told her I was right. The guy took the car back and got the brackets off in about 10 minutes. Probably even less than that. All things considered, this place has terrible service and overcharges their customers. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else for similar services.

It's helpful when mechanics respond back, but when the estimate is requested from the customer with…read moredetailed information, a quick quote in writing with the reply message is great, because the customer can easily compare the written quotes from all of the mechanics responding. Even a rough estimate is enough to go by , so that can be done. Every mechanic who replied said to call them for the estimate, which is no different than a Google search and calling them all individually, writing down details and having long conversations with each person...et...etc..etc.. I decided to go to Advance Auto Parts in this case and for the specific party far needed, they were able to quickly install it. It was $200.00 plus a 20.00 tip which saved me a lot of money in this case (Mass air flow sensor). I got a quote for AC sevice from Brakes Plus for only $125.00 plus freon, when the Yelp estimates I saw for that said I could expect to pay is $2,000!
