Didn't do what he promised and wrote the contract for. Seemed underhanded. Driveway has low spots and puddles immediately, used tools from my garage without asking. Pushy for money, but not for being held to the agreement. Find someone else. read more

Never hire this company! It was bad enough that they didn't pave to the boundaries that we contracted for and that they didn't pave until the ground was frozen but then the owner, Backslapping Bill, lied and said " don't worry, I'll take care of you in the spring". That was 2 years ago. He has done nothing and won't return my calls or messages. The job was so inferior that weeds grew up through the driveway the first year and this year as well leaving holes in the pavement. I have pictures. Bad job, great liar. I do not recommend this company. They came to my house in November to do my driveway and the minute they left there was sunk in holes on the asphalt. I called him on the phone to tell them about it because they left the work area leaving it like that. He never responded to my call that week. Also,I called him seven times within seven months and they never responded to any of my calls. Finally they picked up my phone call by mistake and I told him about it and he had some bogus excuse of why he didn't answer his phone. He said he was in Florida and would be back to look at it in May almost 7 months after. When he came in May it was the fourth and he said between 10 -14 days I will be back to fix it. One month went by and he never came and I texted him and asked him and said I'm still waiting for you to come and fix this and he responded with "good for you "basically told me he's not coming back to fix his mess or his poor job. I would give '0' stars if I could. If you are a woman, or man who does not want to support other people getting taken advantage of, do not hire this company! There is a reason they give the lowest prices around. Unless you are someone they decide to respect and do a good job for, they will cut corners and then dismiss any complaints you have. I was quoted for 3-4' of asphault in my driveway and when I complained that it was less was told I didn't know what I was talking about and HUNG UP ON! Not to mention a laundry list of other details of the job that were sub par. To withstand Maine freeze thaw cycles, you need a good base layer and thick paving, otherwise after a couple years it looks like crap again. They will quote you one thing and do another if they think they can get away with it. read more
