Since then I've had them give me a couple estimates and was waiting to save to pay them off. I finally got the money, called to contract them out and then they dissapeared for an entire year. T So a couple years later in 2017 I saw them at a show and asked them what happened and he said it was a family business and someone died. Ok. So I tried to set up a time. I talked to some guy named Matthew Peterson and he gave me a date for the work to be done, and each time the date came he said they were busy and so he would text me telling me the date would be pushed back. After a few months of texting back and forth he ceased talking to me. Bad business practices. I have also heard they have shafted their subcontractors. I highly recommend against doing business with this company.

His prices are always very fair and if parts of the job don't look quite right to me he always makes sure I'm happy with the finished product before he's done. I will continue using him for any and all projects that arise on my two homes. For these reasons I would give him a five-star rating. Ken Michaud, Hampden

So, both structural integrity and the ability to complete the installation of a new roof were dependent on this project. Smith builders came out and took a look and led us to believe that they would be able and willing to get it done for us, even if we had to wait a few weeks. When we didn't hear back after a few weeks we checked back in. We called regularly, five or six times, only continuing to call because they kept telling us "oh yeah, we will give you a call back." ..."We will have Chris give you a call back..." It would have been kinder and professional to tell us up front that they were booked, instead of dishonestly stringing us along. Terribly frustrating on our end, not to mention risky both to our safety and our finances. We have found someone else and will not be dealing with this company again.
