As far as my workout goes, all I need is a treadmill and they have a few of those so it works for me! I wish the cardio equipment had TVs on each machine, but I can survive without those. The three on the wall are fine, I suppose, but reading the closed captioning while working out isn't really all that enjoyable. My one major gripe is the cleaning lady who thinks 7:30 am is a perfect time to clean the locker room. Seriously, the locker room is about the size of a closet. I am at the gym early in the morning and so are 3 or 4 others on a pretty regular basis. It's a small area with all of us and then you add the annoying cleaning lady who's trying to clean around you, it's soooo irritating. I have to think there's a better time of day that this cleaning can be done. And besides the whole thing being incredibly annoying, the cleaning itself leaves much to be desired. I'm really hoping there's another attempt at cleaning later in the day because otherwise, that place has to be extremely filthy. I'm pretty sure I spend more time cleaning my own ridiculously small bathroom at home. Anyway, this gym is very convenient and works well enough for me. If you need a bunch of classes, a pool and a climbing wall, this isn't the place for you! If you're good with the basics, this place fits the bill.

My 3 year old goes here and has been coming here since August of 2016 when it recently opened and I will also be enrolling my one-year-old. The director and the teachers are all very nice and very caring toward my child. My son was in need of speech therapy and the daycare was very accommodating to the therapists having the sessions with my son at the daycare. A very friendly and family-orientated day care that I highly recommend for the area.

In late May 2022, I opted to pay the "new" member fee and start the month billing so I could return to riding the bike. Fast forward to today. I have been to the DGPDRC 4 consecutive weeks and have yet to find an employee who knows how to use Life Fitness phone ap correctly. Week #1 I tried to use it without instruction. Failed Week #2 No one knew how to correctly use the ap. Week #3 Luke said he would help me today, but when I arrived today I found out Luke is no longer employed there. Week #4 "I'll look into this." It's an affordable gym with good parking and friendly staff. Very convenient for DG residents. However lately the quality has diminished. No one seems to care to keep the equipment or bathroom clean. They've let go of staff that worked hard to keep the facilities running smoothly. Towels are starting to look like rags. They've opened the track for free for non-residents and lucky us WE get to pay more. How is that fair?! In fact, since making the track free the quality of the gym has gotten much worse. I mean, If you're not paying for the facility why care right? Super disappointed. Despite multiple attempts to contact the district, they are unresponsive and uncaring. It's worth considering another gym that cares more. But if you're not picky and want low membership fees, give it a shot.

The staff was always kind and professional, and my daughter never wanted to leave at the end of the day! I looked forward to chatting with the staff at the end of a long day too, an added bonus for sure. As for professionalism, I couldn't have asked for better--everything I needed to know was well documented for me (upcoming activities, enrollment deadlines, etc.) and handled with the utmost care. At the beginning, I had to ask for pictures and check in on my son because of course when I would drop him off he would be crying. I understand that as teachers, they're busy. But if there are 3 adults to 12 kids, one should be able to send messages during nap time. I'm not sure what the point of having Class Dojo was if they don't communicate anything. I also didn't like when I registered, it was such a quick process that I felt uneasy because I had no clue who the teachers were or what the room set up was like. When I asked to see the room to get a better picture of where I would be leaving my son, they had to show me a video of it on their iPad? The whole thing made me hesitant. I was thankful that they accepted my son, but ...eh. And what I disliked the most was that although I understand COVID is still going around and there are little ones...they wouldn't let parents in yet and we had to pick up one at a time even though none of the teachers were wearing masks. I feel that if they were really concerned about COVID then they should let parents in with a mask since now it seems that things are returning to normalcy. I feel like it was a way to not let parents in. I wanted to be able to pick up my child and see what he was doing instead of waiting for them to pack up his things and give him to me. And I had no idea who was giving me my child. I didn't know if they were his teacher or not. I only knew Joy, the director, and she was nice but no one else ever introduced themselves to me or shared one thing that my child did during the day. As a first time parent, I desperately wanted to know how my child was doing and develop a relationship with his teachers but the drop off and pick up process was so quick. and as someone who used to work in a day care, you gotta share something the child did. Anything! What was he playing with? Were they a great eater or sleeper? They did provide a paper copy of the child's day supposedly but I honestly felt it wasn't personalized and they probably put down the same thing for each kid in the pink room. It felt like pulling teeth trying to develop a relationship with his teachers. Maybe it's a great place for the older kids. But it wasn't for us.
