I'm taking care of my ill uncle so I've been trying different places in Brigantine. I ordered the Chicken Chop Sewy lunch special (came with hot& sour soup) and am fairly disappointed. The argument at the counter about which bag was mine didn't set the right tone. The wateriness of the soup needed a ton of seasoning & cornstarch at home while the chop sewy sauce was equally lifeless. read more

The service was absolutely fantastic amazing wonderful considerable substantial the man who took our order was very fast and chill. The ambiance was like the Chinese places in the hood of north Philly but that's a good thing of not great I loved the really old signs they were great. The food is great. read more

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch combo $11. The chicken must have been old....very touch and over cooked. The s&s dipping sauce was so watery nothing stuck to your overcooked tough chicken. The pork fried rice was the best part of meal with good amount of pork. It's hard to find good food in general in brigantine,. This had to be one of the worse sweet and sour chicken meals I've ever had anywhere, which is my go to Chinese dish. read more

Excellent food and reasonably priced which is great considering this is probably your only option for Chinese food in the area.

Second time here and this time was a complete disappointment! Ordered a quart of roast pork lomein which consisted of basically cooked noodles and 2 slivers if pork! No flavoring, no scallion, no slivered veggies, no sauce, and basically no pork either! Thought I had found a decent Chinese place, but apparently not. Great tasting beef lomein. I'm always on the search for a flavorful beef lomein and this restaurant is top of the list now. Never even knew this restaurant was in the acme shopping center until I drove by last night and spied the name on back of the building . Went back the next day and got takeout ( covid precautions so presently only take out here ) which was fine as I needed to get home . Not a long wait but a couple others were there in front of me . Not clean. Food had no flavor. Soup had her black hair in it. Never again. You can't even go in you have to stand at the door to be served.

I am not one to slam a business especially after a pandemic however we ordered here last night and the food was not good. The Sesame Chicken and order of Lo Mein each had ZERO flavor. We felt as though we were eating a microwave Chinese boxed meal from a supermarket. The only thing worth one star was the quantity of food. Unfortunately it's more you have to toss! Tried this place first time, boneless spare ribs overcooked and inedible. Other items okay. Called and told them ribs inedible, She said maybe its lean pork. I said you figure it out, your cooking them. Its just feedback..... nice gent handling order. read more

The first order of business after moving into our new condo (yes, boyfriend and I now live together in sin; congratulations are in order!) was finding some cheap, greasy, yummy Chinese food as close to us as possible. Hunched over cardboard boxes, watching our TV that only plays DVDs for the time being, we dug into some Great Wall takeout last Friday night (and again this Friday, just to give them the benefit of the doubt.) This is, without question, the blandest Chinese food I've ever tasted. I didn't even think that was possible considering the amount of sauces that are typically dumped onto Americanized Chinese food. I've tried the Subgum (chicken, pork, shrimp, scallops and vegetables) and my standard Shrimp & Broccoli, and both had absolutely no taste. Even asking for the shrimp & broccoli to be made spicy did not mitigate the absolute lack of taste. Also, the chicken was slimy and the pork was tough. The fried rice was really dry. Boyfriend reported that he enjoyed his General Tso's Chicken....but, to quote him, he "likes everything he eats." Portions are huge, prices are inexpensive. They deliver and they're very conveniently located....BUT, since we spied a Best Food a few minutes away, Great Wall will only be on the menu in cases of dire emergency. read more

Ordered delivery, sweet and sour chicken. Delivered more like sweet and sour chicken rocks. Totally overcooked. Called back and told them that they have been overcooking their food lately and requested a refund. They told me to bring it back and they refunded me. When I walked in, there was so much smoke in there I said " this place even smells like its burning!" Will not be ordering again. I do not even want to give it one star. read more

This place is amazing I got the Spare ribs and Wonton soup and it was great. Plus the service is sweet.

I have lived in Brigantine for a few years and have always eaten at Best Food in Town. Tonight I thought I would switch it up and eat at Great Wall. I walked in and ordered my food. There were three or four people picking up food as well as the phone ringing off the hook. This is usually good news, but as you'll soon discover not all busy restaurants have the best food. I ordered Fried Cream Cheese Wonton and General Tso's combo platter extra spicy. The food was prepared quickly and the person taking orders was pleasant. Unfortunately, that's the end of the good parts of this review. The Fried Cream Cheese Wonton are made in house (or at least appear to be hand made). The outside was crispy, but the filling was bland and not very good. If you are a fan of this appetizer get something else. One thing I don't like about Chinese food in America is many of the dishes are drenched in a sticky sweet sauce. Often it's the same sauce that is modified slightly. Even though I ordered the dish extra spicy it tasted very sweet and was very gloopy. The chicken was also not very crisp. The white rice was standard as was the egg roll. If you're looking for a place to go for Chinese food in Brigantine go to Bed Food In Town. The owners are really nice and the food is much better than here. read more

Below average Americanized Chinese food located on the island. I've had numerous dishes, everything from general chicken to the pu pu platter. Nothing ever stands out and has a weird after taste. The service isn't very friendly and the restaurant always appears dirty. read more

They just reopened for pickup only. But their food is amazing it is always fresh and hot. The rice is tasty and not sticky. This is my favorite Chinese Food place ever. This is the first time I've eaten at Great Wall. We ordered Moo goo gai pan and a vegetable stir fry. The food was very tasty. Each dish was very colorful. The vegetables were obviously fresh. We had both white rice and brown rice. Everyone who ate the food even my mother in law enjoyed every bite. we also had vegetarian spring rolls which were crispy and very good. I also agree that the food was slightly bland but the flavors were all very good. I definitely would order from them again but possibly when I got the food at home add a little ginger and garlic and hot peppers. To be honest I also ate at Best Food in Town a few years ago and frankly I found that the dishes I ordered there were edible. I definitely would recommend Great Wall if you are trying Chinese in Brigantine. read more
