They didn't finish the sides and nor fill in the whole color, not good service. He also charged me an extra $3 for extra color. I was wanting an ombré look but he just put the darker orange over the light orange I picked. There was no point to having to colors if you're just going to cover it up! I dropped in here to get a mani-pedi and it was pretty good! They were super busy when I arrived around lunchtime but there was an available massage chair so I got to sit and get my back kneaded and feet bubbled while I waited, and the shop is close enough to the AT&T store that you can use their free wifi too! The staff overall seems chatty and nice without being intrusive, which I really appreciated because I tend to zone out during haircuts and nail stuff. Anyways, I got Mike, one of the owners for my treatments and I think he did a great job, especially since I'd chosen a neon polish, which are usually awful to apply evenly. I even learned a new trick for cleaning up my cuticles! So far my mani has 100% survived me washing my hair (my hair is like the great nail destroyer) so I think this shop's a keeper. :) read more

Which was 45.00 for a full set. I called to get my nails done over kim the owner told me that it wasn't 2days so she couldn't do it. So my money is going to someone who cares, about the customer, instead of the money. read more

This was my favorite nail salon at one point before they got new owners. The owner now is Tammy and she is by far the rudest nail tech I've ever came across. I tried to remain a loyal customer even when she became the owner and put up with her bullshit and rudeness up until today. She had the nerve and audacity to call me CHEAP in front of everybody in the salon!! Why you ask? Because I was told by one of her employees that the French full set I requested would be $30 plus $25 for a basic pedicure. I got my pedi first then went to Tammy to do my full set as usual. Now I know Tammy likes to change up prices on me or surprise me with a high bill when she's finished so I knew to ask to confirm the full set I wanted would be $30. When I asked her if it would be $30, she responded with, "No. it's $35." I simply told her that her employee just stated that it would be $30 (which is average for French tips) and she went ballistic! She went off on me telling me the board reads $35 and if I wanted it done that's how much it would be. I said it was fine, I'll pay $35 but your employee told me $30. She continued to go off on me and said, "why are you so cheap? You always do this. It's just a few dollars and you're always so cheap!" Like wtf?? Are you joking me?! You're the one who charges those "few dollars" for every little thing and you have the nerve to call ME cheap?! At least I'm always willing to pay for it. She obviously took me asking about prices before services were done as me being cheap?! When all I'm doing is making sure I'm not paying a ridiculous amount of money for a full set! Which anybody should have the right to do without being judged for! I tried to just sit there and let her do it for the price she wanted but she continued to talk shit and call me cheap as she was working on my nails and I couldn't take it anymore. I told her to just forget my nails and that I wouldn't tolerate her treating me so terribly as she worked on my nails. She then told me to just pay for my pedi and to never come back. (Which I obviously would never come back hence the reason I made her stop). As I paid $25+$5 tip I made it clear that the tip is for my pedicurist. She then told me if I wanted to continue services then it would be $35 for her to do it or $30 for the employee who told me differently to do it. Like are you kidding me? Hell no! I'm no longer giving you any of my business! Bottom line, whether a customer is being "cheap" or not, you don't treat loyal customers that way who have been coming there for YEARS and brings you business on top of that! She must've been on her period or is going through menopause because she was the rudest she's ever been to me since I've met her there and all I've been is nothing but nice to her! read more

Okay so it was pretty good. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. This was my first time and it was great for me. My mother and I had acrylic nails. The guy named rick did my nails. He wasn't talkative until another employee. She kept talking to him in a language I didn't understand. He was real careful and it didn't hurt. NOW my mothers experience was horrible! First the man (he was really old like on his 60s may be) he kept trying to convince mom to get the gel some and she said no. I don't think he hurt her. He didnt put no acrylic on her nails even though he said he did. My nails were think and even, hers was not. She got the French tip and you can see were he messed up. My mother didn't realize this until we were already home. We wont come back. read more

Came here for the first time yesterday. I got acrylic overlay on all but two of my nails, which needed tips because they broke so short. The gentleman who did my nails did exactly what I requested, and didn't try to push any upcharges like gel polish or anything on me, and I love how my nails look. Rodney is a great hair dresser. He did my hair at Dillard's and I followed him here. I can't recall his pricing, but it's definitely on the reasonable side--around what you might pay at a place like Regis. I am very impressed with how professional he is. He takes the time to ask & really listen to what you want & confirms what he is going to do. I got highlights, lowlights, and a cut. He does excellent color. The nail salon part looks fairly nice. I'm hoping to get my nails done there next week. read more

Have been a customer for several years. After ownership changed, so did all of the staff. Since then, the quality has gone down the tubes. I had a mani/pedi the other day and the lady doing it....her body language screamed that she wanted to be anywhere other than where she was. Worst shellac manicure I could have imagined!! I came to this place after reading some reviews. My best friend from out of town was visiting and we decided, spare of the moment, on this salon. BAD decision. First, the owner, Michael did our simple manicure. He did not touch our cuticles and when it came time to file and buff our nails did not even tells us to wash our hands, he just put the shellac over all our nail grit and clippings. Second, he painted on our cuticles. When we were done I expressed how poor of a job I felt that he did and he said he could fix them, Really??? I did not have time to sit for another 30-45 minutes while you or someone else in your salon fixes the crappy job you did. Then, he charges us $35.00 for the "manicure" when I asked where he got this price..not listed on the wall. He just said standard price. Also, no cosmetology licenses posted anywhere. Very horrible salon and they sell knock of MK purses and cheap shoes. I should have known better. read more

I visited Great Nails on Thursday, 7/19/12 to have a pedicure done and have French tips put on after reading the great reviews. The atmosphere itself, while clean, feels cramped and cluttered, but I didn't mind. My pedi went off without a hitch, but when it came time for the acrylic to be put on, it turned into a nightmare. The tech, whose name I never learned, cut into the cuticles so deeply that he drew blood on no less than seven fingers, and went right on with putting the acrylic on. On several nails, including both thumbs, both middle fingers, and one ring finger, he chose tips that were not wide enough, leaving a portion of my own nail visible at the edges. The acrylic work was sloppy as well, as he left a glob of it under one nail, and three days later, the edges already look terrible, as if the acrylic is coming off. All in all, my fingers were very sore for the day and day after because of the damage done to my cuticles, and not worth the $60 plus the tip (why on earth did I leave a tip?) I paid. I was severely disappointed, and I will never ever return. I suppose I should be thankful I didn't get an infection. read more

My mother and I came to have our nails done on the day of my wedding. We asked for white tips. We live out of town but I was literally getting married only a couple hours after this so my head was not really in the game. We had read good reviews and trusted to have a good experience. WE WERE WRONG.Instead i believe we were taking advantage of. the atmosphere was great however I expected to have beautiful nails that would last. blindly signing our receipt we hurried out the door to my big moment. Later I noticed my nails, they look as though they need filled. just look at my profile picture. my cuticuls were not taken down and he did not follow my finger at all. It really is bad. and My moms chipped the day after. REALLY? the next day we noticed we were over charged. so we call. he stated he gave us Solar white tips which of course cost more and were not what we discussed. He did not offer nor agree to correct our dissatisfaction. So not only did we get overcharged for a crappy job i now have to pay to have these "great" nails filled in only 3 days after having them done..We will NOT return to this place. read more

First time to stop by "Great" nails (insert sarcasm here). Everything was fine with the young man doing my full set until he ask the old man to paint a certain symbol on my nail. The old man didn't practice, got it too small and had the nerve to get offended when I wiped it off. He said "he wasn't finished." I said he couldn't finish as it was too small and could not be enlarged because of this specific letter. So he went off in a huff. Mind you, I had NOT been rude in my request of getting this specifically like the picture. Old guy comes back and I ask him to practice and he starts yelling he been doing this 30 years that he doesn't need practice!! I said you haven't been doing THIS design 30 years and what is wrong with practice? So I tell him just put the top coat on please and I would go have it done somewhere that knew how. Oh boy! The young guy working on the lady next to me told me YOU RUDE LADY, GO HOME AND GET YOU SOME! I was like what? Seriously, I had not been rude in the exchange! ALAS, he said it again and I sank down into the gutter with him. My apologies to the ladies ears that had to hear our next words. Please forgive me but I was just as shocked as yall were!! So anyway! Never went there in 8 years and never will again!! If there was a minus star option, that is what they deserve, not even 1 star. Have a "great" day by NOT GOING there for your nails.
