Great countryside location just outside London. Very close to Heathrow airport, maybe too close. Actually 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the noise of the planes. Not all rooms are very well sound proof. The whole hotel is built in an great castle where the Royal family was used to get for hunting. Perfect preservation of the old structure with all the modern comforts. Lot of dining rooms and conference rooms for any activity. From wedding party to corporate meetings. Swimming pool and restaurant. Most the veggies and cheeses are coming from the venue's farmland. Pricey, but hey, you got to have your castle :) Great and professional service.

Entrance- you have to go through the small door...

Stayed here for a couple of nights. As you would expect in Europe, the rooms are smaller that folks for the U.S are use to. Service was second to none by all staff members. The grounds are amazing with beautiful gardens. Check out Their website for additional pictures. Food was decent considering your in Britain. If you have a reason to say here, go for it- does take you back in time. Great place to have a wedding...

De Vere Beaumont Estate - The awful bed.

Sadly, not a single pound appears to have been spent on guest comfort, basic amenities, or hospitality standards. Let's start with the bedrooms, which are, frankly, a triumph of style over substance. Despite the rising summer temperatures and this being a supposedly premium hotel, there is no air conditioning. None. Zilch. Nada. We were instead forced to borrow a small army of fans from reception -- each one as weak and defeated as our morale after night one. They merely pushed warm air around the room like a sad little hurricane of disappointment. Then there's the bed, which I can only assume was constructed by someone with a grudge against vertebrae. I've had more restful nights on upright airport chairs. My back is still sending hate mail. The restaurant provided another round of confusion. First, the buffet requires payment up front, like you're about to sprint off with a pocket full of croissants. You can't charge to your room -- presumably because the hotel either doesn't trust its guests or doesn't own the technology to allow it. Either way, it's a real vibe-killer when you're trying to enjoy dinner and feel instead like you're queuing for a meal at a motorway service station. Oh, and drinks service? Glacial. Our bottle of wine -- ordered with our mains -- finally arrived after we'd finished eating. So, naturally, we rebranded it as a dessert wine. Very avant-garde. Very De Vere. Finally, back to Darren's proud email: "We hope you're enjoying the £12m investment." Darren, mate, was the money spent entirely on the reception area and email automation software? Because it certainly didn't make its way to the rooms, the beds, the fans, the payment systems, or the bar staff. In conclusion: De Vere Beaumont Estate has the bones of a beautiful venue but operates with the charm and efficiency of a government-issued training facility. If you're into sweating through your sheets, paying for food before seeing it, and enjoying your wine as a post-meal digestive -- then congratulations, you've found your nirvana

It is just outside Egham in Surrey. It is just minutes away from Windsor and is very close to Heathrow Airport. It has plenty of grounds an although it's set off a busy roundabout. The hotel grounds at the rear are really scenic. The reception area was really busy when I arrived, and the hotel seems to be hosting several functions. I think it is mainly a business and conference hotel during the week, with special packages for weddings and partys at the weekend. I had a really nice room overlooking the front of the hotel. As I was only here for one night and most of the time at the wedding. I didn't feel the need to pay a supplement for a river view room. It came with all the usual facilities you would now expect at a UK hotel (tea, coffee making, iron and ironing board). There were also robes and slippers left in the wardrobe for guests use. The public areas were busy but there were plenty of option and spaces to use. The outside bar area and seating was plentiful. I really enjoyed sitting out here with a pot of tea after my breakfast the morning after the wedding. The hotel also has a spa that I was not able to use (free to guests), which I will try next time The breakfast at this hotel is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had. It offered all the usual options, but just tasted so good. I've given the hotel 4 stars as the wait to be seen to check-out was really long and slow, with not many staff at the reception desk. I will come back though, and am already planning a family reunion here for 2016.
