Wonderful expansive food hall in the basement of Pacific Place. They carry lots of ready to eat foods ranging from sushi to pizzas, breads, pastries and grilled meats. There is an entire produce section, aisles full of usual grocery store items of condiments, cereal, canned goods, and then plenty of ready made rice cakes from Asia. Really clean, well organized and well maintained. The photos speak for themselves. Delicious foods.

Nice store for ex-pats that need something from home or just someone that needs Western food products. The presentation inside is rather attractive and while I didn't eat at the food court, the offerings looked tempting. Definitely a pleasant place for a stroll. The store is a bit tough to find as it is in the basement floor. I bought a double chocolate cake here for a family visit and it was pretty pricey but it got the job done. The cake was reasonably moist and the cake throughout was packed with chocolate flavor. The fruit on top was fresh as well. The lady helping me with the cake was quite friendly and helpful. I wouldn't come here for a lobster (around $40 per pound) but if I stayed in the area and was hankering for a fruit tart, I'm consider it.

This is a local restaurant and always sends to be busy. They have items on the menu which cater to Western especially U.S. tastes and those items are written as specials. One is what they call Western breakfast. Two eggs cooked the way you like them, toast, bacon, beans, corn, hash browns and coffee all for $43HKD. I think that's about $5USD. The breakfast want perfect--- too much butter, but it's close enough to get my Western breakfast fix. I am traveling solo so they placed me at a shared table. The people are very friendly and helpful and generally speak some English.

It's difficult to write a review about a supermarket, as one has to think of what makes a particular supermarket any better than any of the others. Well Great, is a "erm" great supermarket. It is great in its selection of imported foods, which is ideal for expats, but beware it can be quite pricey. "Well is that all?", I hear you cry. Well, "No"! One of the best things about Great is that it has a cheese room. There is a very generous cheese counter, but this supermarket also has a dedicated cheese room. It is incredibly cold in there, mimicking the environment of a French cellar, and it stocks a great number of excellent cheeses from all around the world. The staff behind both the cheese counter and cheese room, are incredibly knowledgeable about their products. I often find myself asking them for recommendations based on cheeses that I already like, and they have not yet missed on their recommendations. Other little touches I like about Great include (but not limited to!) the Tai Tai Pies stand, the frequently stocked Quorn, the Triple O's concession, just in case you need a mid-shop burger, and the Watson's Wines section. Bear in mind though, a couple of these concessions are "pay for at their till", not that of the main store. As mentioned before it can be quite pricey, but occasionally you do want to treat from home, so the price can be somewhat justified.

Bowl of vermicelli: 3 choices of meat, veggies, plus garlic and cilantro with chicken soup...yummmm

Conveniently located in Pacific Place, perfect for patrons staying at any of the hotels accessible via the shopping centre...you can buy groceries, baked goods, prepared salads, sushi, chicken, bowl of noodle in soup, pizza, burger or if you have access to a kitchen, buy groceries to prepare the food yourself. Although a bowl of noodle was pricier than any other noodle joint in HK at $58, it's a fraction of a cost of what the hotels are charging via room service...definitely well worth the stroll down here! Even cheaper than any of the restaurants in the mall!

1) are you an American? 2) are you experiencing a Whole…read moreFoods grocery store withdrawal? 3) are you not insulted or put off by maybe a gourmet yogurt costing $50HKD or a fresh bright orange bell pepper that might set you back $30HKD? 4) is enjoying the finer, unique foods of the world your cup of tea? If you answered YES to 3 of 4 of the questions above, City Super is your grocery store. My only challenge is that between MTR or ding ding, shlepping your gourmet haul home can be a work out in and of itself. Taxi or personal car would be easiest. I wish this was in a better location in general to my Sheung Wan life.

When I lived in Hong Kong, this was my go-to place for lunch and groceries. Amazing as it seems but…read morethe Canton region of China is still the true culinary capital of the world and City Super brings so much of it into a food court easy-to-access environment. But I want to hit special notice here for the SUSHI. I have been everywhere around the world for Sushi -- from the Jiro-style douchebags who charge you for breathing their air to the fake Korean and Chinese run spots in Toronto and LA, to the old school Sushi-Ya in Japan where it's about the personality and experience, in addition to the rice / fish / booze...Been to them all. And this place...with a young Chinese chef is still the best, freshest fish and best prepared rice that I have had anywhere, equalling and surpassing Tsukiji. Now it's true, the selection is limited but how amazing is it that this young chef can - for 7 DOLLARS - equal the best Omakase in LA, NYC and Tokyo. Well, simple--what most of you are paying for is BRANDING. Not food. Not skill. Not quality. Brand. And I don't give a crap about the "brand" of Nozawa or Nobu or other asses that purport to represent Japan but pander to the lowest common denominator. Our Sushi man at City Super is adhering to 1000 of years of Chinese and Japanese culinary tradition, know how and exceeding where others have failed. The fact that I could spend 45 dollars for 2 orders of the same food in the west and receive cat food is the great shame of Western Civilization and it's decline. It's why China specifically and Asia in general is the future. It's why the US is owned by China and will continue to be. Try this place. Enjoy the amazing food ALL over City Super and have some incredible Sushi. in 9 years, they have not changed. Still incredible. Still polite and still setting the standard for the world to match.

What makes this supermarket a little different from others is primarily its location. It's located…read morein United Centre, one of the busiest places in Admiralty and it's the only average supermarket around (besides Great, but this is a high end, more expensive one, and its concept is a little different, it's more of a Food Hall). This may be the reason why food overall it's pricier than other Fusion branches. Sometimes by quite a lot, but one can't deny its convenience. However, by 5 or 6pm they start selling off some fruit, veggies, dairy and meat discounted prices. And also, sometimes the discount is great. The other reason why I like this place is that it's not a grocery shopping destination for most people so it serves more for occasional purchases and it's never too crowded. And yet there is another reason to love it: it has an amazing counter at the front, covering the width of the supermarket floor: there is a bakery, a sushi area and a kind of 'convenience store' at the end of it. There are freshly baked cakes in the morning when I walk to the office and it smells like heaven. If you don't have a sweet tooth, just keep walking and you'll see a good variety of sushi and sashimi, prepared in front of you. The icing on the cake (and you'll agree if you like coffee) is that they serve Bolaven coffee, a fair trade organic brand from Laos. The Bolaven Farms café closed down its doors a few weeks ago but you can still enjoy their coffee at Fusion, and as opposed to most other products at this supermarket, it's relatively inexpensive. By now, I think I've given you a couple of good reasons to like this branch as much as I do!

They even have ready to eat hot and cold foods. Having only been to the Hawaiian locations in thr US, this was the first Donki I have visited in Asia. While the items inside are aplenty, the space absolutely not. This location is kind of hidden and there are stairs to go down into the store or else you'll need do wait for an elevator that only reaches a hotel lobby (a bit odd). The snacks are my favorite items to grab here and I definitely like that the goods are extreme expensive. It is hard to explore the store because of the huge variety but think of it as an adventure when you go. Also, be prepared to brave the line because it is always crowded. Get ready to squeeze in and out of almost every aisle when it's thr evening or weekend.

This place is a bit of a weird place- they seem to sell a little bit of everything. At first i had…read moremistook this place as a pharmacy, because most to the time you will see that the shop is lined with: washing powder, detergents and most of the household items you will find at a local pharmacy store (the ones with a massive PX) outside. Once you go in though, you will find that this shop nothing short of a surprise. Snacks, food items and even shampoo line the shelf -most of it you will not find elsewhere. As a Hong Kong specialty, it even sells dried seafood items. The fact that this place sells everything means that every trip here is a fact finding tour. Now being I go too far, you have to take note of one thing: this place sells things on the cheap. Really cheap. You will also have to bulk buy here, not that you will have to drive your minivan in; but it certainly comes in bigger portions than it would at your local supermarket. So what's bad about this place? You won't be able to find this shop in really convenient locations as their shops tend to be at out of the way locations. They are always packed, especially at the weekends when you get tourists, locals and helpers all crowding into the small shops. Other than that, I would be more than happy to get my groceries here all week. Only that they don't do that much food, shame.

For places like the states, department stores such as Wall mart and Target usually have those super…read moresize oatmeal packs, a whole gallon of milk, oil and soda. Whereas in Hong Kong, ordinary supermarkets tend to shrink down the portion, probably knowing that local households don't really consume as much (?) so it is an exciting sight to see these large packets of candies, chocolates and snacks. What I like best about this store is that the items you find here are not the common brands you see in normal supermarkets; exotic brands of sweets written in an unknown European language, a collage of chocolates of different flavors or more familiar brands with the portion all scaled up: imagine a bucket full of Almond roca and a kilogram full of M&M. No only sweets, you can also find good quality oil, tubs and jars of condiments, a huge variety of canned food that are no longer seen in mainstream supermarkets. Other than things to eat, which is always my main focus; household supplies like detergents and washing power are also found here. In short, this is an alternative place where you shop for groceries in a very good price. You guessed it, the very best thing about this store is the price; it is much more economical to buy things here in large quantities in relatively lower cost. The individual item may not be like real cheap, but the per unit price of the goods sold here I can guarantee is a lot lower. Since it locates near where I use to work before, I always like to stop by to check out for snacks before going home. So if you work in Wanchai, do stop by and find yourself a good deal here.
