Easy to make an appointment. Excellent customer service, fast and knowledgeable staff. I'm a repeated customer every 3 months.

Literally cooked me. I look like squirrel. I asked for 1/2 inch off the top and the "stylist" took nearly four inches off. Ruined my entire 2026. read more

First yelp does not show the Great Clip location in Fernandina beach. So I can write about them so I will do it here. Been coming to this location for 4 years now and this is the first time I have to say it is a problem. The manager has an attitude and in front of to customers told one of the employees to close up and go home because she came in two hours late. Not cool. Should have pulled her aside to do this so customer didn't hear this. Also customer are backed up and the manager is the only one cutting hear after she toll the other one to leave. May have to look for someplace else to get my haircut. read more

I was surprised to find some troubling and extremely inappropriate text messages between the manager Carrie and my husband that had absolutely nothing to do with his weekly haircuts. Just warning others that this location apparently offers a lot more than a weekly trim. "" calling him babe, and giving him marriage advice that stands to seriously harm not only myself but a child, "force her ti work", "cut funds to force her to work". Sending her personal email address. read more

The worst haircut I have ever had. A man named Shy was supposed to do a simple blunt cut bob. He was a nice guy but he obviously didn't know what he was doing. It is so crooked with long pieces and short pieces, uneven and ugly. He should not be allowed to cut women's hair. I'm so disappointed. I'm never going to another Great Clips. Don't risk your hair or your money. read more

I wish we were able to request different services when booking a haircut so the system doesn't automatically think it's a 15 minute cut. I understand the frustration if you have an appointment and an estimated wait time and the timeframe is not accurate. If you were able to add services or notes, the employees wouldn't get run over with so much negativity. They would be able to give accurate wait times. Anyway, I was that client that took more than 15-20 minutes. Brooke was amazing! She was so patient with me (...and my hair) and I never felt like she was burdened. I know I have a difficult hair type to work with and I appreciate her patience and advice for the future. Thank you Brooke! read more

I had a really great experience coming here today. I called numerous other salons and all of the other salons wanted huge amount of money just to wash my hair and put it in a ponytail. I explained to everyone that I had recently had surgery and all I needed was a hair wash and a ponytail because I could not use my right arm. When I got here today they took me right in washed my hair, put it in a high pony tail with a braided bun for $10. I was very happy with my experience and since my sling will beyond for least the next 6 weeks I plan to return as I will be unable to do my hair. read more

Great job to both of the hair stylist that cut my wife and my hair. Thank you for a job well done. My wife and I were embarrased by the manager. I have a disability that requires the support of a service dog. The dog alerts me when my condition inflames. Due to my afliction I carry my service animal in a dog carrier marked "Service Animal". The manager complained about my dog to all the employees and customers without addressing it to me directly. I am hard of hearing therefore did not hear the manager belitling me. If the manager would have addressed the issue directly to me, the issue could have been addressed with little to no embarassement. read more

I have been twice and both times I had great experiences. The second time I was really going for a big change. I cut off most of my hair. I was so nervous but they were very accommodating. They did a fantastic job! I will be returning! read more

Unprofessional. Woman cutting hair broadcast out to entire salon that a client had lice in their hair (this was looked at immediately after by urgent care to be false). Hair was half cut. Hair stylist publicly embarrassed this client and brought them to tears. Ethically and morally, if someone has slightly poor hygiene, but that should be a one on one conversation privately, not something broadcast in public. Recommend any other salon but this one. Do not go here or have Shaina perform services. read more

UPDATE: Literally the worst haircut I've ever gotten in my life. So uneven and so many choppy layers after i specifically told her no layers. It looks horrible. Very very unhappy and will not be going back. Ugh. Went here on my lunch break for a quick trim. I got Lisa who was quite possibly the most unpleasant and miserable person I have ever encountered in my life. She was incredibly rude and unfriendly and wouldn't even let me see the back when done. Just said "ok" and started taking everything off. Very unprofessional. Sure hope my hair is straight.... read more

Trey was awesome! Walked in without an appointment just to see how long a wait it might be. Lucky for me I hit a quiet time and was able to get seated immediately. I did a shampoo, cut and blow dry straight. Trey listened to what I wanted done and asked follow up questions to clarify anything. He cut all the split ends off and spent time blow-drying my hair straight, which is no easy feat considering my naturally thick, curly hair. The store was clean and well kept. They had all the regular merchandise. They are also doing a buy one get one half off sale for the whole month of July. Overall: A Great cut, ask for Trey! read more

I rarely leave a negative review. Even though THIS location has a horrible 2.5 review. I need a haircut, and they were open an hour longer than other nearby locations. So I gambled I LOST. I downloaded the app, made an appointment, and checked in. That is where it all went downhill. My wait time was 39 minutes, then 44 minutes, then 48, then 26. I live about 5 minutes away, so when it got to 15 minutes, I went on to the location. By the time I arrived, the wait time was back to 44 minutes. By that time, it would have put my appointment time 10 minutes after closing. Rather than goong back home, I walked around a few stores. At 5 minutes until closing time I felt I should go ahead and go in. I was QUICKLY greeted with "We are not taking any more clients." I stated I had an appointment. The reply I received was "yeah we canceled it, there are only 2 of us, and this is our last clients" While I was sitting in the car waiting another stylist left about 20 minutes before closing time. Again I may leave 1 negative review for every 200 or 300 reviews, so when I leave a negative review, I leave a full detailed overview with no personal attacks, I simply state what happened to me. read more

Called to see if I could get a hair cut and the woman that answered was obviously in a rush and was not friendly at all. Terrible customer service. I don't give anyone my money when they don't know how to treat their customers respectfully. read more

This was the first haircut place I tried since moving to Yulee. A friend told me there was a local coupon that got you a discounted rate so i gave it a shot. You always get what you pay for and this was the case. There was a ton of inane conversation and the amount of talk had a reverse correlation to the quality of the haircut. The haircut was uneven and I had to call it to the attention of the person cutting my hair two times and when it was over I was happy to leave the chair and go on my way knowing in the end that my hair was not cut correctly. And who knew that in Florida you have to go to a barber to have a full haircut experience. Not going back. read more

Always great service. Staff is super friendly and the wait time is never long. Register online or walk in. Super easy

I would give this place zero stars but it won't let me post it... My boyfriend went in to get a fade and let me tell you it wasn't a fade. First the hair line was crooked, the barber cut him twice, and there was maybe a half of inch of a fade if that. The worst hair cut I've ever seen done, we had to shave his head. Won't be going there ever again, don't waste your time. read more

Great Clips - Hair Salons Near Me - Yulee, Florida

Today was my first experience at this business. I was in a time crunch and Joy found a way to shoe horn me in for a wet cut. She also provided an excellent level of professional service and of course, a "great clip". Thank you. read more

I just removed the app from my phone. I went to get a haircut today. A few minutes in and her clippers stoped working. She didn't have a second pair so she said she would free hand it. I get a number one on the sides. She didn't offer to let someone else do it and said she could do it. It is wavy and a mess. My wife spent an hour with my beard trimmer trying to fix it at home. I've had some not great haircuts before but this did it for me. I deleted the app from my phone and won't go back. RIDICULOUS!!!!! read more

This was the worst customer service I've EVER witnessed. It wasn't towards me but a young lady that was ahead of me speaking to the MANAGER of the store about how they not only gave her a horrific haircut, but injured the back of her neck from using dull razors/clippers. She was so mean, disrespectful, unsympathetic and unwilling to even give her a free haircut after she explained it took two different stylists to somewhat correct the terrible job they did. She even told the manager she'd talked to corporate and they offered her not only a free haircut but also a refund. The manager said "I'll do you a favor and cut your bangs only because they look like they need it".. Who the hell speaks to customers that way in front of other customers and employees making everybody in the shop uncomfortable. I was so repulsed with her attitude I walked out and only went to Great Clips because my schedule is so hectic I figured I'd be in and out and back to the office before my next clients apt. If they have security cams in there I'd highly suggest the owner to review the footage from yesterday at aporox. 4pm. read more

I wish these stylists enjoyed their jobs. They are friendly & fun, but ... After stopping in to this local Great Clips several times over the past few years I've come to notice one big thing - Turn around in employees is very great. Rarely have I seen the same people there after a few months. They do an okay job on my hubby's hair as long as I stay right there & tell them exactly what I expect. That's why they got a third star. Once they cut his bangs very short & straight - not becoming of his longer layered style at all. Otherwise, they do just good enough. I hVe choose to get my long hair trimmed by this location twice. Both times it was a disaster. The last time I clearly stated no short layers, however that's exactly what I got. The stylist claimed 'it's better for your hair'. Ummm. My hair has no chemical treatments & I have been growing it out for 5 yrs. it's very healthy hair. I just wanted the ends trimmed!! When we do find a stylist we like - they don't hang around very long. You get what ya pay for at this location. read more

Not the Great Clips of the 90's where you walked in and got a hack job. This location has great stylists! I've been coming here for the past few months and have left satisfied each time. If you are like me and get the same cut each time, their computer has that information saved so that when you check in the stylist has that available. Additionally, I haven't had to wait more than 10 minutes. Check them out for your next haircut. read more

Yesterday was a fairly busy day at Great Clips and they were expecting at least an hour-wait when I took my son to get his haircut but then one of the employees had just clocked in and she gladly took my son back within just a few moments; I was so relieved as I had a lot of errands to do afterward. She was very professional, kind and welcoming to everyone she encountered and especially with children. I told her how I wanted my son's hair to be cut and she exceeded my expectations and did it perfectly. We are very happy with our experience and will be returning. Make sure you ask for Kaylin Curry for your hair needs. :) read more

I had been going here for over a year and was always pleased. I had two different hairdressers both who were talented. This past Friday was a nightmare. I had a new hairdresser (tall african-american male) it is the worst haircut ever. I asked for a cut , shampoo and blow dry. He told me it was $5 extra to blow dry my hair with a brush, but never used a brush, and never showed me with the mirror my cut before he removed my cape and sent me to the register. My hair was still wet and since no styling smoother or gel was used my hair, was not fully dried or flat ironed, my hair became extremely frizzy. I came in needing a haircut and left needing a makeover. I was embarrassed by how my hair looked and couldn't wait to get home to dry it properly. To add insult to injury it cost $35.00. Not to mention the cut wasn't even a good "trim". I will never return again. I have never had such a bad experience ever! read more

I literally was just inside with my daughter with two ladies standing in front of me for some reason neither one of them could acknowledge my presence simply here to get a haircut. One on the phone and the other one walked away. I understand the place is busy and everyone's trying to get a haircut due to the situation it takes two seconds for a little bit of common courtesy. Considering I drive out of my way to go to this place but it's cool I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

April was simply the best she got myself and family in and out with all great cuts thank you so much

I've been going here since they opened. The $6 special for the first few months was great. Then that went away as expected but I was always able to find a coupon on the back of my grocery store receipt but that went away too. Now with tip it's a $17 for a five minute haircut. It's true there's a huge turnover in these places and you never know what kind of cut you'll leave with but for a inexpensive haircut, I'd be ok with that. One thing that always frustrated me with "men's cuts" is it seems most stylists seem to have one goal; see how fast you can get the man in and out. I read once a long time ago that a survey showed people said 80% of getting a haircut is about the experience and 20% is about the cut. I found a great stylist a few years ago. Took her time, talked to me, neck massage. As time passed it became a 5 minute cut so I quit going. The search continues. read more

All the hair dressers have to do is look at your hair cut before they start cutting. Worst hair cut I have ever had, I guess that is what you get for $5.00. Terrible!!!!!! I tipped her anyway, sad. read more

Awful. Had my husband take my boys there for cuts, since they just needed if to be cleaned up. I'm also a hair stylist, but since we had just moved I was busy and opted to pay someone else to do the cuts. I gave my husband very specific instructions how I wanted the boys' cuts done, he also relayed that to the women, and they didn't bother listening. My youngest came home with almost all of his hair gone- she might as well have just buzzed it. NOT what I wanted at all, the kid doesn't like his hair thst short and if she had listened to his father she wouldn't have done it. Then my oldest... I don't even know what the women was thinking. It was a MULLET. He's almost 13, why on earth would she ever think this is what the kid would want?? It was such a waste of money and time because as soon as he got home I had to get out my shears and fix this woman's mess. But you get what you pay for, so that's our mistake. Clearly the people working there that day put little effort into a cheap cut, and had zero interest in doing what was needed. I told my husband he should have made them fix it or refused to pay but he said he was just so ready to get out there he didn't want to waste any more time. 100% will NOT return. The fact that this was 2 separate stylists makes me think it's a workplace issue and not one specific person. read more

They always seem to mess up my husbands uncomplicated hair cut to the point that I always have to fix it to make him presentable. I have done a better job cutting his hair in the past and in no way am I a professional barber. Problems range from uneven sideburns, hair cut to same length all over, hair cut too short, unsymmetrical cuts, etc. Rivercity great clips has done great in the past & this place should have those haircut records to go by but seem to always mess up. After 10+ messed up cuts, I think he's finally ready to try another barber. Their only positive is their great location & hours. read more

I have had bad haircuts here over the years, having ignored the adage "you get what you pay for". Since the big military woman left the shop, the customer service has improved, and so has the haircuts. No more four minute military cut. At least that has been my recent experience with 'Lisa'. I told her exactly what I wanted and I brought a photo along and showed her. She did it exactly as I had hoped. She was so quick that it made me a little nervous, but she knew what she was doing. I hope she stays around. I'm going to give her my phone number, so if she moves, I will follow her. read more

Lisa was extremely unprofessional, when she checked out the person in front of me, she said "cash or credit" and the guy didn't hear, so she rudely/loudly stated it again. When I got to my cut, she wasn't talkative at all, she rushed through my haircut and I've noticed a few spots that are nearly bald. I typically enjoy great clips, but this experience was BEYOND unsatisfactory. My fiancee had been cutting my hair, but was too busy to this time, so I went into Great Clips. She's only done it twice in her life and does a better job than Lisa did. I understand bad days happen, but being rude to customers is not acceptable! read more
