It was definitely worth the wait, and you could tell she was putting real effort in to get exactly what I wanted. The other stylists there were also so nice, especially Cat. She was easy to talk to and truly listened to me. Together, we came up with a plan for my hair. I valued her input as she explained each step of her process. Sometimes, hairdressers can be jarringly rough with shampooing but Ava made sure the water temp was comfortable and massaged my head with just the right amount of pressure. The hot towel treatment after was heavenly. My stylist was fantastic! I had been to this place before and i was not impressed. The cutter could not discern between a Caesar cut and a scissor cut. Blank stare when I mentioned Caesar and Rome. Fast forward to late yesterday afternoon. I was on my way to a nearby restaurant when i was passing by Great Clips in Wantage. I happened to glance in and i could not believe my eyes. Donna, my old school haircutter for years, was working in this place, a chain store known for fast and cheap haircuts? Well I just had to find out whats the story. After saying hello I decided to hold off on dinner and stay for a haircut, old school style, when they took the time to cut it right, watched for details and made it look great. She did not disappoint, she nailed it! Six years since she last cut my hair and it looked like she'd cut it just last month. Yea it took a bit longer than the other stylist, but it was perfect. After my first experience there i vowed to self to never return, but having Donna behind those scissors brought me back in. I'll keep coming back if she is doing the tyrimming. read more

Luckily Kim, my usual stylist, keeps records of cuts and colors. When I want a change, she pulls out the iPad and we look for something new that will suit the shape of my face and the texture of my hair. She explains how different cuts will work with my hair, and she gives me her honest opinion as to what will look best. Her work is consistently excellent! This past March I went from long layers to a short cut. That week I started work in Manhattan. As I was walking down the street, a woman came up, tapped me on the shoulder and said she just had to tell me how beautiful my hair looked! I never had that happen in Manhattan before! I was so excited, I called the shop the next day to thank Kim, and let her know my cut was a hit! I just came back from a wedding in North Carolina and everyone loved this last cut and color, too! Lois cut and styled my hair for my wedding. Because I didnt know how I wanted my hair or headpiece, I scheduled a couple of appointments to try different styles. The day of the wedding, my hair was perfect! It was exactly what I wanted, and lasted all day and night! I didn't have to fuss once! You know a great cut when you wash and style your hair at home, and you look just as great as when you left the shop. That's how my experience has been, and that's why I continue to go there.

Well over a week prior, The responding police officer instructed the salon to return my coat immediately and made it clear there was no basis to accuse me of taking anything. Despite that instruction, my coat was still withheld, and I was asked to follow additional steps that were unnecessary and burdensome. 2. I returned to the salon multiple times during your posted business hours to pick up my coat, but the staff refused to return it and repeatedly insisted that I could only speak to -- and only retrieve my coat from -- the owner. 3. When the owner later insisted on specific pickup times, I explained that I work out of town and am not available during most salon hours or during the limited times when the owner was present. That is why I had already attempted to pick it up several times while you were open. 4. I informed the owner that the receptionist spoke to me in a rude and accusatory manner. The response I received was, "she's young and doesn't know how to speak to customers." No apology was offered at that time, or during any of the several calls and conversations I had with the owner. The only apology I received was after this public post. 5. After repeated attempts on my part, the officer ultimately had to retrieve my coat herself. That was the only point at which the issue was resolved. 6. I want to thank the West Milford Police Department for their professionalism and assistance in resolving the matter. I am sharing my experience because the community deserves an accurate understanding of what occurred.

I've been taking care of ill family for a long time now, and - as many of you know - caretaking tends to lead to not-taking-care of one's self. I am no exception to this, and I woke up on the 20th of June, 2018, realizing I needed to do something for *me*, or I was going to go jump out a window and use the broken glass to cut my own d*mn hair, thank you. Happily, I did not do that. Instead, when I found myself with a little extra time, I called them to see if they could take me in the next 15 minutes. They could, so I went. I got Cecelia. Cecelia is *awesome*. I went in there stressed out, rushed, tired, and just in need of something. I left calmed, relaxed, with shaped, and with an absolutely adorable haircut that just does what I want. It's long enough to tie back (a necessity), but it's got long layers and a cute shape that just makes it bouncy, fun, and playful without me having to spend time styling it.
