I brought in a client of mine for a haircut who is a senior, anxious, and in a wheelchair. This was her first appointment with Michael and she was nervous about it. However, Michael put are at ease immediately from the moment we opened the door to the salon, with his help. She was visiting for a haircut and he accommodated her while she sat in her wheelchair. He took time to consult her and talk about what she wanted. He kept the conversation light and continued to check in with her to make sure she was comfortable. He was efficient, skilled, and my client left very happy with a beautiful haircut. Thank you Michael, she will be back!!

I needed my hair bleached. My hair is basically a military cut with shave sides. It was already bleached but not lifted enough. Made appt, which he was an hour late for. He put bleach in, left it on for so long I still have literal holed scarring on scalp. Then toner. No cut or wash. The process took almost 6 hours. There was drinking, on my end. His too. Weed on his end. At the end of appt he gave me a printed debit slip to sign. It was 504 dollars. I said to him "you'll understand why I don't tip you right", bc he is owner and seemed absolutely outrageous. He said no problem. Left the tip section empty, signed & left. When I got my bank statement, i was charged 605 dollars. Still pissed, but avoided going there bc I am furious. It's been 8 months, I just had to shave most of my head due to the bleach frying my hair so bad it practically falls out when I brush it. So, thanks Jesse. It sucks bc I can't even go visit bar anymore. Lessonprobably don't drink & smoke while doing hair and lesson for me: don't get your hair done at a bar.

I love the big window in the front, letting in tons of light on all of their plants around the waiting area. The chairs are comfy, and there's a great selection of products to choose from. I love the hair washing chairs as well. They're so much more comfortable on my neck than the ones I've sat in in the past. Jeannie has always done an absolutely amazing job with my hair since I was a kid and continues to do so. She has been cutting my husband's hair for several years now too and he's always happy with how great of a job she does. I absolutely recommend this spot!

I needed…read moresomeone to listen to me when I was describing what I wanted and not just do what they wanted to do. I was so frustrated and my hair was causing me to have anxiety about it. I happened to be driving down the street and I saw a sign at the driveway entrance thanking Stanwood for voting for them as best salon and I immediately turned in to find out about it, and I'm so glad I did. The receptionist (I apologize, I forgot her name!) was very helpful and friendly and suggested Leslie and mentioned she'd had a cancellation for this afternoon and I booked it. I was very impressed! Leslie asked all the right questions, looked over the disaster that my hair was, gave me suggestions of what we could do to make it look it's best while it grew out, all the things I wanted and needed a stylist to do. I knew before she ever got finished that I'd finally found who I was looking for! She did an amazing job on my badly chopped hair and I was elated when she finished because it looked great. I've already made a follow up appointment and I highly recommend her. The salon is really lovely inside, a very welcoming and tranquil place. I have to say, that sign at the driveway definitely made me drop in and I'm so glad I did!

It's a one chair shop owned and operated by Sarah. The shop is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Sarah is handy with the clippers and gave me an excellent faded cut. I showed her a photo of my last haircut and she went right to work. I was not disappointed. My hair came out just the way I wanted it. Sarah charges $15 for a standard cut but she does a "Hero" cut for vets, military, police, and first responders which brings the price down to $12. She's a very nice lady and easy to talk to. Her shop is busy and she takes about 20 minutes a cut. She is a walk-in shop but has a wait list at her desk as well. I will definitely return because she's good and I like to support local small business if I can. Thanks Sarah!
