*sigh* I've been…read moreholding off reviewing this place, because if I do, you'll all know how fantastic Cindy is, and you'll all flock to see her, and then I won't be able to get an appointment with her when I want one. However, I must be fair, and after three visits over the course of several months, it's time I acknowledged that Cindy is my most favorite hair person of all time. I've had three haircuts, with bleaching/toning services, (and I'm pretty fussy, let me tell you...) all consistently perfect. Cindy takes the time to really perfect what she's doing. She's attentive, kind, knowledgable, listens to you, goes the extra mile ALWAYS, and is just plain phenomenal. I've never been rushed, she's never gotten "testy" when I need a little more of "this or that", and sometimes she's thrown in an extra thing like a protein treatment, just because she knows it'll be good for my hair. She also remembered that I wanted to buy a particular hard-to-find hair styling product, ordered it in, and offered it to me when she next saw me. I didn't ask her to do that, she just got on with it. I get compliments almost every day about how cute my hair looks, and I tell everyone who's responsible. So, do yourself a favor, go see Cindy. Just don't go when I want to go....

I happened to be driving down the street and I saw a sign at the driveway entrance thanking Stanwood for voting for them as best salon and I immediately turned in to find out about it, and I'm so glad I did. The receptionist (I apologize, I forgot her name!) was very helpful and friendly and suggested Leslie and mentioned she'd had a cancellation for this afternoon and I booked it. I was very impressed! Leslie asked all the right questions, looked over the disaster that my hair was, gave me suggestions of what we could do to make it look it's best while it grew out, all the things I wanted and needed a stylist to do. I knew before she ever got finished that I'd finally found who I was looking for! She did an amazing job on my badly chopped hair and I was elated when she finished because it looked great. I've already made a follow up appointment and I highly recommend her. The salon is really lovely inside, a very welcoming and tranquil place. It's a one chair shop owned and operated by Sarah. The shop is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Sarah is handy with the clippers and gave me an excellent faded cut. I showed her a photo of my last haircut and she went right to work. I was not disappointed. My hair came out just the way I wanted it. Sarah charges $15 for a standard cut but she does a "Hero" cut for vets, military, police, and first responders which brings the price down to $12. She's a very nice lady and easy to talk to. Her shop is busy and she takes about 20 minutes a cut. She is a walk-in shop but has a wait list at her desk as well.
