Very unprofessional experience. My stylist showed zero interest in me as a customer and was far more focused on chatting and gossiping with coworkers. The haircut was uneven in multiple areas, and the shampoo was rushed and careless. The service ended with a towel dropped on my head and a "here," with no thank you, no professionalism, and no acknowledgment of my patronage. The rest of the staff seemed to behaved the same way--more interested in conversation than customer service--which made the entire experience uncomfortable and disappointing. I later went to another Great Clips location where my hair was fixed properly and the staff was apologetic for the lack of professionalism and customer service I experienced at this store. Used to frequent this salon and quit coming due to an infection I received from a random stylist. My usual stylist had quit because owners and managers treated her so poorly. It looked like it was done by someone who had just started cutting hair--with uneven lines, no attention to detail, and a rushed feel from start to finish. Great location, staff was prompt to engage with their clients and professional manner. I came in with my two teens for their haircuts and luckily we got in during a window period. Steve was our hair dresser. He tended to my teens and even showed my son how to style his hair with the new cut we referenced. Steve went the extra mile and truly is great at his craft. Is this a teaching location? Both my sons got cuts by new stylists, it took over an hour to get cut and then fixed by the manager because both cuts were so bad. They now have insanely short hair cuts because in order to fix them the manager had to keep cutting. If I wanted them to be experimented on by students I would have taken them to the barber college, at least the cut would have been cheap. The amount of time and the quality of service would both be zero stars if yelp let me. Never going back. read more

Went in as a walk in on Sunday and got in right away (the only good part about this) and had my hair cut. I showed the lady two different pictures of the length I wanted and the type of layers I wanted. The first snip she did was up front so of course I couldn't go back... let's just say, I asked for my hair to be shorter in the back and longer up front like an A cut type of bob. my hair is actually longer in the back now and cut unevenly on the sides. I went in for bangs and to get my hair shorter. I asked him to just add a little bit of More hair into my bangs... not a whole lot and he added way too much and I feel like my bangs are ruined. Second of all... he only cut one side and thought he was done and I told him to cut the other side and he's questioned me "oh you have bangs on the other side too?" And that said it all right there he didnt know what he was doing. He also forgot to add more hair on the other side as well! I've never been disappointed with any of the employee's services. They're all friendly and there's this one particular person who I absolutely prefer to cut my hair every time. Hey Great Clips, here's a crazy idea! How about you base your online appointments in the mysterious world I like to call "reality." Checked in online and was told I had a 15 minute wait. Hopped in the car because I live nearby and the clock kept counting down. By the time I arrived it said I had no wait at all, great! Give my name and I'm immediately told I have a 10 minute wait. Ok, I guess walking through the front door is some sort of portal to another dimension where time runs slower? But ok whatever I'll wait. I then sit there and wait an additional 20 minutes while you seat 3 people before me, one of which arrived after I was already there. Unless you have Vishnu in the back doing separate haircuts with each arm, quit the BS with quoting zero minute waits when there are at least 3 people ahead. Wasted a lunch break coming here because the other Natomas location apparently employs a chicken that pecks at random dates on a calendar to decide when they'll be closed that week for no apparent rhyme or reason. I came as a walk in on a Sunday since we were in the area and didn't really plan on getting a cut. Lol It was busy but we waited. I think about 20 mins... Wasn't too long since people on the wait list was dropping like flies or they vanished lol. Anyhoo, this was my first time bringing my daughter to get a cut. The staff is friendly and I like that they are not short staffed. The waiting area is a little too small, but at least there's a Tea place and other stores next door to kill some time. I had Tina cut my hair today. I felt like an item going through an assembly line. And I felt like I was a nuisance to her. My sideburns are crooked and my hair cut feels like a $10 cut. I visited the 4660 Natomas Blvd salon and received the worst hair cut I've ever paid for (lol... given my self bad ones before). The cut was very on even, and crooked, like Charley Brown's sweater... lol. There were patches of uncut hear around both ears. Politely asked for a refund, the staff were pretty rude, including the Manager. They refused to come to any resolution. I've been bringing my son here for 3 years now and Ive never had an issue until today. I understand it gets busy but the way I was talked to is NOT OK. Nothing in my review has changed and I am appreciative that management extended their deepest regrets and offered my son a free hair cut with a different stylist. I respectfully declined. They transferred this person to another location in Natomas soon after the incident. I thought I would never have to deal with her again but now she's trying to contact me through yelp and follow me. Great Clips customers, I can't highly enough suggest you to use their mobile app to put yourself on the wait list!! It's def a game changer!! Having two kids, it's totally convenient for a parent to use the app, and get your kiddos on the list. You can see other Great Clip locations and their wait list time as well! So cool, so great, makes structuring out your errands a little easier. PARKING in that Raley's Plaza is iffy. Depends on the day. I've been going to great clips for about 3 years and this location for the last year. I went in the other day and there was a bit of a wait, which is no problem so I put my name in and waited patiently. Shortly after that a lady walked in with her 8 year old daughter ( I know cause the counter lady had an entire conversation with them. Apparently this was vital information that everyone in the building needed to know). So I'm waiting and I notice the they are placed on the list above me even though I came in and put my name in first. I also notice they were not online check ins (in that case it would make sense). THEN I hear the lady and her daughter talking about the fact that they are in front of me on the list. It was something to the extent of the mother saying to the daughter "yes we are going next", and the daughter saying " wasn't that person on the list in front of us?"... at which point the mom acknowledged that I was but didn't seem to think much of it. Now I know what you're thinking, I could have easily raised this issue at the time. But it's a small crowded facility and that puts the customer (in this case me) in a bit of an uncomfortable situation. Long story short, they cut hair fine. But this facility is very poorly managed. As a business owner myself, I was curious to see how this would go. There's obviously a lack of attention to the consumer experience. They're either 1. Sexist (which I doubt) 2. Favor people with children (again I doubt this) or 3. Are completely careless with their customers (I'm betting on this one). According to lee resources 91% of consumers will not do business with you again after an unpleasant experience. I am now one of those customers who will never do business with this company again (after 3 years). I work 16-18 hour days... So I'd like great clips to explain to me why my time is less valuable than this persons who came in after me. Thank you for wasting my time. I went in for my hair cut and told the stylist where I usually wear my hair length and I asked how much would you be taking off. He said it was 3inches. First of all I start with saying that their "Check in On-Line " is a Joke! When you check in on-line they give you an approximate time. Today mine was 76 minutes from the time I checked in. I arrived there in about 60 minutes to be told there where 3 people ahead of me and it might take 30 minutes. I stepped out for about 15 minutes and when I went back in I was told there was one person ahead of me. This was a full Hour and a half from when I checked in and that was it for me. I left. When you arrive they falsely tell you it will be about 15 minutes or more. ( liars) This is the third time I have checked in on line, only to be told the wait time was 30 -45 minutes. SO WHAT IS THE DA*N POINT OF CHECKIN IN ON LINE?! I will not be going to this business any more and I have been for several years.
