I had one appointment time and will not be coming back nor do I recommend new clients coming here. The place does look pretty sketch and I ended up parking at the plaza across the street. I arrived five minutes early to my appointment time and ended up waiting 30 minutes, which is reasonable. And I understand it's only one barber (the owner). He talks a pretty big game and boasts himself a lot of the times. So I thought he cuts pretty well and also based it on his 4.5 star reviews at this time. He literally would take pauses to talk about himself and about certain customers would be mad appointment times and how they would curse at him. These were not good signs. I explained to him about having half on the side with a high fade and medium blend. He ended up just using number two on the sides and back (no blending and no fading). The line up was not aligned at all. He trimmed the top and he styled it to cover it up and make it look good. He seemed a bit in a rush and he kept talking to the client that was up next. The cut was bad and the overall experience was not good. I'd say save your money he charges a lot for a 30 minute haircut. On the site it says $39.99 but inside the shop says $49.99 for an adult haircut. I get haircuts in the Bay Area for the same price and they spend about an hour on you and detailing your fade and line up. This guy just wants your money, he explicitly talks about money all the time. read more

Negative stars or you'll regret it. I ask for specific cut and he gave me something else. He said my hair is too thin so he cutting it down more to blend it. It's way off. One side is longer than the other side of my head. I wouldn't want to go to this joint again. Maybe try doing what the customer wants before deciding on your own. Cool dude but horrible haircuts. I had to retouch my beard after he trim it off uneven. I had save my hair for over 2 years and my beard for over a couples month. I ask to trim the beard evenly but that didn't go well also. Probably best to listen to what the customer wants and stop cutting it the way you wanted cause I'm stuck with this haircut until it grows back. Yoooooo! Ant Hooked Me UP!! I was bummed I wasn't able to get my haircut before I left to go out of town and I knew coming to Cali these cuts were going to be hella expensive to what I'm used to paying. However, I must say, for this particular cut it was well worth it. I looked up some barbershops on Yelp and I came across this location, it was close to my hotel and I liked some of the pictures I saw on it and they had the styles I wanted! I read some of the reviews about the rudeness blah blah, but at the end of the day I know exactly what I wanted and all I needed was for that to be executed. Just show up with what I need and the cash. That's all. Upon arrival I walked in and and no one was there yet, the atmosphere was little off and Anthony's energy was a little difficult to catch. Once I sat in his chair and started chit chatting with them I finally felt what it was. I think its just he's a no take B.S type of person and being a woman sometimes men are a little more reserved not knowing what they're getting into cutting their hair and appropriate conversations and I felt that, however with me nothing's inappropriate hahahaha There was a mother gentleman that came in too and we all started talking and the energy in the room felt so warming and good.. The "barbershop feel" He started cutting and doing his magic, next thing I know, he put up and the mirror and BOOM I was ready to Date myself all over again!! Unprofessional.... The business owner got a little notoriety and became very big headed. I found this place on Yelp and my fist couple experiences were good but after a couple cuts the barber felt comfortable enough to asked for Yelp reviews and so I did. But over time the positive reviews got into his head and he became very unprofessional. Because I became a regular Anthony felt it was okay to squeeze in cuts before your appointments and the wait became 2 to 3 hours, and that's not including the time needed for you cut... keep in mind this is with an appointment. This particular time I spent 4hrs from the time I had my appointment to the time I left the shop. After lettering the Anthony know about booking an appointment and having to wait 2-3 hours defeats the purpose of making a reservation, he did not appreciate my opinion. Rather then take the opinion as an opportunity to improve on the customers experience he started canceling my appointments. I showed up for a reservation and come to find out he canceled minutes before my appointment time.... Very unprofessional all he had to do was let me know he would not be taking my reservation moving forward. read more

Took my boyfriend here for his first (according to him) real professional haircut! We always go to this spot in Little Saigon that cost $7 and he's been wearing the same style of hair for many years. He finally wanted a change and found Fade Masters. My boyfriend booked an appointment with Anthony through his website a few days out. The area around Fade Masters was a little sketchy, parking was behind the shop but for some reason we couldn't find it. We ended up parking on a residential street, no biggie, and crossed the street to the barber shop. My boyfriend had no idea what type of hair cut to get and asked Anthony what he thinks would look good on him. My boyfriend went into this place thinking he was going to get a buzz cut, but Anthony didn't think that would look good on him. So he gave him a nice fade and even trimmed and lined up his beard. He almost looked like a completely different person! My boyfriend was very impressed, and so was I! Anthony did a fantastic job, and he was very relatable. I showed up 4 minutes before my appointment. When I got there Anthony said he couldn't cut my hair because my appointment was at 12 and I was late. I quickly checked my email and confirmed the appointment for 12:30 and I was on time. He then told me that he was behind 1 1/2 hours so he would have to reschedule me for 5pm. The manner in which he said this was very condescending and unapologetic. I've been here before and have had to wait 15-30 mins to get my haircut, which is reasonable and fine. This time he told me the earliest he could cut my hair was ~5 hours later and basically to beat it. While cutting my hair before, he has told me that if a customer comes in and is willing to pay more money then he would bump them up in the queue and give them priority. I didn't think much of it because I never thought it could happen to me but I should've known better. So if you are thinking about booking an appointment then keep this in the back of your mind. No more bookings for me as this is certainly no way to conduct business. UPDATE FOR ANTHONY: Dismissing a loyal customer and telling them to beat it is not good service. If you require customers to respect and value your time then you should do the same for your customers. There are more tactful ways to explain to a customer that you are behind. Being short and rude is not one of them. I have no ill will as this may be a blessing in disguise. read more

Don't recommend - made 2 appointments for my sons 10am and 11am I got to the 10am appointment at 9:55am he already had a person in the chair which looks like he was just starting, I waited 10 minutes then left, what was the point of making an appointment if wasn't going to be seen at the time. I left and canceled my 11am appointment I realize it wasn't between the 2 hour frame to cancel but I had a schedule I needed to stick to so if you were late for the 10am appointment what makes you think I'd stay for the 11am, and then he charged me $15 for canceling the 11am appointment.
