Angel is a GIFTED stylist!!! She is an asset to Great Clips AND to those that she makes feel either handsome or beautiful! LOL!!! I am really grateful for her talent and how AMAZING she makes my teen feel after his perfect haircuts!! I offered to take my teen to a "higher end" option before the first day of school (to make that best first impression) and he REFUSED! He wanted ANGEL to cut his hair!! Honestly disappointed with the cost of services, lack of care from the hair stylists and overall feeling of sitting in the chair today. Janiet seemed annoyed that I came in to get my hair styled (just curled) when there was no one in the store. Just wanted to feel pretty for Mother's Day and asked to get styled up to basically pay $30 for curling my hair (with a $10 tip) to last for one hour. My hair was flat and full of hairspray within minutes of paying for something to last me at least the evening. Then as she was about done curling my hair her coworker tried charging me for a $60 "formal/event" curl just because my hair was long? They didn't put it up, nothing fancy. Just a simple curl that again.., wasn't worth it cause it didn't last. I even made the statement that I wouldn't have come in to get my hair curled for $60 and I wasn't going to pay that when it was agreed the $28 long hair curl was what I was getting. I felt an uneasy attitude between the coworkers themselves and anytime anyone came in after me (the store was EMPTY) they seemed annoyed. So note to self: do not go back to great clips to get your hair "styled" - I ended up going home to recurl it myself to make me feel like my money was worth it. read more

My overall experience at this location has been pleasant, however, today I did not receive a great experience. Janiet kept looking away from the job in front of her in order to talk with her coworker. This wouldn't normally be an issue for me, but she cut my hair shorter than what was on the receipt showing the haircut I always get. She even cut it shorter than what she showed me with her fingers. I'm just hoping that in the future she would pay more attention to the customer in front of her rather than talking to her coworkers. read more

I usually have my regular Great Clips person that i visit here in California, but I was in Arizona with my Girlfriend and needed a trim. I wasn't sure where to go and remembered that I had my Great Clips App. I figured, "Let's give this a try!". And wham a bunch of locations! I went to the one closest to my Girlfriend's home. I thought it was very cool that this location was able to see the details of what I get cut in California and knew already what I wanted! The stylist that helped me was personable, courteous, and friendly. She did a great job of cutting my hair! read more

I have been going to Great Clips for many years and have had good luck. The Great Clips in my neighborhood closed so I started going to the one at 8194 W Deer Valley Rd in Peoria AZ. In Deer Valley Market Place. I checked in and when I arrived, had to wait about 20 minutes for my turn. No big deal. Just before the person in front of me was done, a man walked in and said his name was suppose to be on the wait list. The person at the register clearly knew him and said "Oh right" and he was called next instead of me. When I asked when my turn would be, the woman at the register made a rude comment and chuckled. I am literally so disgusted by this grown women's behavior that I re-activated my Yelp account to warn other consumers on where not to spend their hard earned money. It's a Thursday evening. I've worked 50 hours thus far this week and know all about being tired and not always on our A game, but this lady was demeaning, unprofessional, & flat out rude. It was on a whim that we wandered into this establishment. We normally frequent my professional hair dresser for my daughters (ages 10 &13) for haircuts, but having just come out of the grocery store we decided to just get a trim there. The lady is at least 50, looks of Greek/Romanian descent white a horrible blonde dye job that looks more orange. It's styled like Monica Lewinsky in the 90s with lots of hair spray on the side to make it puff out. Anyway, she looked annoyed right when we walked in. I told her it was fine if there was no walk-in availability but the other lady who worked there put our name in the system. We waited. My youngest daughter was called first. Her and I looked in the mirror to decide if she wanted it at her shoulders, above, or below. The lady must suffer from some type of mood disorder because in the 3 minutes my daughter sat in the chair she went into inpatient rage and circled back to fake smiling. She started to yell at my daughter to look in the mirror. Then she looked at me and said "why can't kids make up their mind?!" With a fake, strained laugh. I looked at her and said, because she's a kid, and you gave her one second to answer. I was irked, but let it go. She then turned back to my daughter and stated "it's not that hard!" And proceeded to talk to her like she was an idiot by exaggerating her hand motions of where her hair would sit if it was above or below the shoulder. I interjected that it wasn't necessary to be so condescending and she turned around and said she just didn't want her to cry over the length, and I assured her, we don't cry over cut hair. So through all these transactions my daughter was never able to answer where she wanted her hair cut. So final time the lady turned around and began to berate her again I advised my daughter to stand-up and told the hairdresser that I would take my business somewhere else. I then informed her that my daughter had suffered a stroke and had brain surgery a year ago, and although she has recovered, the way the women addressed my daughter was humiliating and infuriating. We walked out and I felt bad that my children thought they were getting hair cuts and didn't so we went across the street to SuperCuts, gladly paid double the price, waited 30 minutes and kind , sweet Kayla gladly cut my daughters hair. In the COVID era where many people in this industry have had to close their doors it is appalling that a grown women would treat a child this way. She's in the service industry and is obviously forgetting her income is generated by customers/consumers. I hope future consumers will spend their money elsewhere & not support such a miserable, mean women. read more

She was very friendly, listened to what I needed and delivered, and offered a wonderful styling product, which is already helping quite a bit, and apparently, exactly what I needed! I've recently started coming to them after living in the area 10 years. I've been so afraid to have people cut my hair but my 20+ year hair stylist moved. So I tried this hair cutting salon. They're great. I've also had my hair deep conditioned numerous times. That's been a great service as well. I've had great haircuts from Charlotte and will continue to come. read more

i've gone three times to get a hair cut and every time they either cut very little or too much. there's a middle eastern lady who never seems to cut it they way that is explained and cuts it how she thinks would be best.And also last time i went the lady who cut my hair missed a couple of spots and when i brought it to her attention she simply said if i wanted it fixed that i would need to pay again would not recommend anyone getting a haircut from them! read more

I have been to Great Clips a number of different times and have always been satisfied but my visit there on Thursday, 01/16/2014, was the last time I will ever go there again!!!!! It was at the Great Clips in the Deer Valley Marketplace located at the corner of W. Deer Valley Road & N. 83rd Ave. in Peoria. When I first got there one of the women looked my name up under my phone number and put me on the waiting list. Then another woman called me up to the counter and asked for my name. I told her my name and she said it wasn't there. Then she asked for my phone number. I told her but I had to repeat it several times. She was very rude and was extremely hard to understand due to her accent. She said her name was Nina (later when I looked at the receipt it showed her name to be Niculina). She directed me to a chair and asked me how I wanted my hair cut. I asked her if she could check the notes in the computer to see how it had been cut the last few times I had been in because I wanted it cut the same way. She walked over to the computer and looked at it for a few seconds and said "something happened to computer, there's nothing" and walked back to the chair. I told her how I wanted it cut but she wanted to do it differently. I told her no to do it like I said. Well after she cut my hair (If you can call it that) I asked her if she could rinse my hair off in the sink, not shampoo just rinse with water so I could get all the extra cut hair off and she said no she would have to charge me for a shampoo. So I asked if I could do it myself and she said no. Then she immediately put gel in my hair without even asking if I wanted any in my hair. It was ok because I use gel in my hair anyway but I thought it was odd. Well after I got home from having dinner I took a shower and my wife looked at me and said OMG!!! Your hair!!! Go look at it!" It is REALLY REALLY BAD! I have bald spots in a number of places where my hair is cut all the way to the scalp! How does someone do that?! Then there are other places that have long hairs that she did not even cut! To top it all off when I looked at my receipt she didn't even spell my name correctly, it reads Brayen not Brian??? I have e-mailed them and also called their corporate office and I am still waiting for them to call me back. The sad thing is I am job hunting and now I have hair that looks like a monkey cut it for bananas. I'm not saying ALL the stylists there are bad but if you do go there just make sure you DO NOT have Niculina (Nina) cut your hair. read more
