I'm not really choosy with who cuts my hair coz i always have the same boring side layers, straight back cut. So i called them on a wednesday around 10am to check their wait times and there was none. Check in was a breeze, she immediately took me in and cut my hair. No blower or shampooing or even straightening my hair after. It was $18 with military discount. This is a mixed review, 1 star if rating the younger stylist in the white shirt and 5 star rating of the elder woman in the brown shirt. My wife and I went in just today to use our veterans day free haircut voucher. Kudos for great clips honoring our vets but that only works if the employees match the attitude. In which the young lady in the white did not to any extent. She was so rude in fact I remembered her from when my wife went in on veterans day to pick up the voucher. She did not disappoint once again.. My wife went in first while I waited out in the car with our two little girls. She explained to the young lady in white that I (her husband) would be coming in directly after because one of us had to wait in the car with our little ones. She requested if both us could come in at the same time so our girls would not have to wait in the car longer. Unfortunately the other stylist was not available. This was acceptable except for the fact that when she finished my wifes hair and I zipped right in behind her, the younger stylist in the white t-shirt snapped at me and told me to sit down. She decided to take another customer who came in after and I waited another 15 minutes. My wife informed her that I would be leaving the tip for both of our cuts. Overall the wait was well worth it because my wife told me the younger lady in the white was rude and did not do her hair the way she wanted even though my wife brought in pictures for what she wanted. I was lucky because the elder woman in brown took me in, I was worried she was going to be rude like the other one. She was actually really nice and considerate (I wish my wife had her). My haircut was simpler but it was a great experience and great customer service. Thus I tipped her $30 and she asked me if she was splitting with the other stylist, I told her to keep it all herself. So yes, there are consequences for having horrible customer service and also rewards for having great service. It was nice to see it still exists, at least for the stylist that did my cut. read more

I liked the online wait list. Got on the wait list while shopping at Sam's club. Perfect timing. Groceries in the car. Walked in the door and they greeted me right away. I said I logged in on their website, and without even looking at the screen. "Lance?". Yep... She directed me to an open chair. In front of others who were already waiting there. I couldn't find my coupon. But she gave me the discount anyway. I don't have much hair, so I couldn't say if it was a bad cut or not. It was all good. I asked for suggestions about my hair and I told the stylist what I was looking for--in a second she tells me NO, not good for you. Then, I take her recommendation and she literally takes...5 snips--done. Nothing if what I wanted. I honestly think she prob could not do the cut I wanted or didnt want to take her time. I was in good spirits thou so I asked her to trim my daughter's hair. Instead she tells me NO to trimming her bangs,--tells the cashiers its a hair cut, then takes my daughters crown hair makes 2, maybe 3 snips (to make layers)--done. Not even 5 minutes, it look like it got cut--it looked the same. Not cute-- not even trying to make it cute for the 3 year old. But hey she got 5 minutes in the chair. Still Im in good spirit so I tipped 25%, then found out my bf tipped $20 to our stylist (mind you haircuts are $21 and keep in mind we were charged full for my 3 year old daughter for 3 snips). We were generous bc we know due to covid they were not working for awhile... Its ok. Not average. Not good. Just ok if you want a quick cut done in prob less than 5 minutes. Sorry no pics. Decided to cut my hair last minute while waiting for my son to finish his class. Thought it was slow, but found out that most schedule online, but since there wasn't anyone waiting I decided to cut my hair. The hairdresser was funny, friendly and talkative, and she mentioned there was a coupon in midweek, but she was already starting to cut my hair, so I couldn't leave to get it. Even without the coupon, the price was $18, same as if I went to supercuts and less than fantastic sams, and the style i wanted was satisfactory, so no complaints like those other chop shops. I found a coupon in the ValPak that I got in the mail for this place. $13 for a haircut...what a great deal! I was due for a haircut, so I thought I'd give this place a try. I read on Yelp that they have an app that allows you to schedule your appointment online so I downloaded the app. The app is good in the sense that you can see what the wait time is like before you go. However, you can't just set up an appointment at any time you want. It's basically a call ahead service. You click on check in to let them know that you will be there shortly. You will still need to wait when you get there if there are others already being serviced. That was the case with me. It said 0 minutes wait time on their app, but when I got there, 2 people were getting their hair cut and there were only 2 workers. I ended up waiting (maybe like 15 minutes?) anyways. When it was my turn, I was greeted very kindly by Diana. She was very sociable and friendly the entire visit. She apologized for the wait. I asked if it's always like this because there were over 10 chairs for people to get their hair cut, but only 2 workers. She said that many people were on vacation, so they were short staffed. I explained to Diana that I wanted to cut off about 4 inches and layer my hair so that it came to a V point in the back. This is the same directions I give to any person who cuts my hair. It's not complicated, so I didn't think this would be an issue. I had to go through 3 rounds with Diana in order to finish my visit. When she had me check it the first time, it wasn't even layered! It didn't even come to any kind of a V shape in the back. When I reminded her about that, she seemed like she forgot that I had even requested that. She said something like, "Oh yes, you wanted a U shape, right?" Then I said, "No, a V shape...pointed." She seemed to understand, but when she had me check it a second time, it still wasn't in a V shape in the back. It was still rounded out. I reminded her again I wanted it in a V shape that came to a point. She tried again. All throughout this visit, she kept saying how she's used to cutting layers with longer hair and that because my hair wasn't as long, she was worried about cutting it too short. When she tried it for the third time, it still wasn't the shape I wanted, but I didn't want her to cut it more and then cut it too short. It basically came out looking like she just cut my hair at different lengths in chunks. There was no gradual layering effect to it at all. I just let it go before she made it worse. I've just been putting my hair up every day until my hair grows out a bit to hide the horrible cut Diana gave me. I don't know what made this haircut request so difficult for her because I've been getting this same style of cut from other places for many years now and never had this issue. I don't ever want to come back here to chance this kind of experience again. I'd rather pay more for a quality haircut, rather than risk getting my hair chopped up, rather than cut in the way I want it. read more

Please reconsider hiring new hairstylist/barber. Evidently the korean lady doesnt know how to cut hair. All they she know was the very basic razor cutting men's hair. She doesnt know what fade is. She cut my hair for 10 mins which usually takes 30 mins at the very minimum. To the korean lady that cut my hair, you need to go to more hair cutting training. I had to redo my hair to another salon because of the cut and service you gave me. Also, to that Korean lady, you need to learn how give customer service. I have been on a search for a decent haircut for an equally decent price for the past five years or so. One of the chain barbershops/salons in the mall had been my go-to for over a decade, but with the rising cost of a standard men's cut and the potential of getting a bad cut, I didn't like the idea of spending over a hundred plus dollars annually on hit-or-miss results. I braved going to random barbershops where I literally felt my hair being ripped out as it was cut and was even once told that the style I requested didn't match my face. After so many unpleasant experiences, I gave Great Clips a shot after a friend of mine gave his recommendation. It didn't hurt that there was also a coupon for a slight discount in the newspaper. As mentioned in the other reviews on Yelp, the stylist also serves as the receptionist. I walked in hoping to be the first person there only a few minutes after their opening on a Sunday morning but there were already two people queued and someone having his hair cut. I kind of felt bad for interrupting the stylist and customer since I had to be tended to. The stylist took my name down on a piece of paper since it was my first visit then promptly entered me into the queue under a wrong name. (It's fine; I'm used to being mistaken as Kevin.) Eventually another stylist came in and she was the one who wound up cutting my hair after I had waited for about half an hour. I told her how I normally style my hair and what number I use for the buzzer. Everything went smoothly and I enjoyed chatting with her about random topics. My bangs weren't cut as short as I wanted them so she went ahead and fixed them up in a matter of minutes. The result was honestly one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time. When I paid at the register and received my receipt, I noticed that the original stylist who helped me botched my last name as well. Basically my name is entirely wrong on their system, but that's no deal breaker. I'll be back in a few weeks for sure. The reason I docked off a star is because there were only two stylists working on a moderately busy Sunday morning. I also understand how not having a receptionist saves money, but even my stylist had to stop in the middle of my cut to help out two walk-ins. When I left, there were four people physically waiting and seven people queued in total. With each cut taking about 20-30 minutes to complete, that seventh person was looking to wait up to an hour or more. I suggested that he have it cut shorter, because it looked messy. The stylist turned and asked me to pay first, then she would take him back to trim off a bit more. RUDE! Yesterday I took my kids for a haircut. I told the Asian lady same haircut that he always been getting. She says ok. When she was done cutting my sons hair, it was so ugly it wasn't the haircut he's been getting. I even showed her a picture of his haircut he had the last time we were there. Two other barbers agreed that the haircut was different. So she started arguing with me telling me that she went according to the notes they have. So it's either the notes we're wrong or she doesn't know how to cut hair. So another barber was helping me at the register which by the way is always nice when we come in, and the Asian girl comes to the register still mouthing off to me telling me "I'm not going to cut your kids hair anymore" And I said " Good, I don't want you to anyways since you did a shitty job". So the barber that was helping me had to tell her be quiet already and take the next customer. Thank you for the barber that fixed my sons hair and made it better. Just left the pearl city location. I just really wanted a shampoo & blow dry on this hectic Monday so that I could go home and sleep. So I called, Karla answered--she was very helpful in letting me know the prices for what I wanted and told me the wait time (30 mins or so). Sounded like a reasonable wait (I was driving so I didn't want to check in online for faster service) When I arrived, I was greeted right away. Karla signed me in, and within 15-20 mins it was my turn. In the mean time, since the wait wasn't bad, I called my dad and told him to hurry over so that he can cut his hair. I checked him in online, and it was super simple! Just your name & phone number! So anyways. I enjoyed my shampoo & blow dry. Karla was very professional and she took her time to make sure my hair was clean and dry, also very straight! I didn't catch the woman name who cut my dads hair, but she did a good job too! All in all, the bill was so affordable!! It looks like I'll be coming back often to get my hair washed and dried on the days I just can't bare to do it myself. Thank you Great Clips! read more

Asked for a trim and received a buzz cut then she acted like we should know what trimmer sizes we need. I didn't ask for a buzz I asked for a trim and not to short (we said that several times).
