However, when I arrived, I was told to take a seat and that I would have to wait for a few minutes. Apparently, the person scheduled to do my haircut had called in sick. The person in charge decided it would be better to keep my appointment and work me in between her other clients rather than to cancel the appointment. I waited for nearly an hour before I was seated, and I wasn't sure she heard anything I said other than, "I'd like my hair to be about shoulder length." She commented that was a lot of hair, and I assured her that was what I wanted to do. The entire time she was working on me, she was talking with people who appeared to be just hanging around, perhaps family members and other people who came into the shop, poured themselves a cup of coffee & sat down. I had the impression that they were not clients. Near the end of my brief experience, she asked if the haircut was OK, and I told her that due to the thinning of my hair, I'd like for her to put in some layers, so she quickly put in a few. I was not unhappy with the haircut; however, given what I paid, I felt that I should have received personal attention. I was really hoping to find a stylist with whom I could develop a relationship as I have not had one for some time. (I could have gotten the same service at a quick cut salon for half the price.) I really felt like I was an interloper. It appeared that everyone else in the salon knew each other, and they were very busy talking about people & issues they had in common. I was left out of the conversations. The few comments that I made were totally ignored as though I had never made a sound. I had several other things that I would like to have discussed with a stylist, but I did not feel welcome to do so. Since the cut isn't horrible, I may try them one more time, but I would need to be assured that they have a full staff that day so I wouldn't just be squeezed in. And I may decide not to give them another chance.

The place we took our other three daughters for there forts haircut had closed down and this place has a similar setup and did a similar first haircut package with a clipping of the hair and a certificate. So we made an appointment and headed that way. The insudevdecor is very fun. Very colorful and vibrant and welcoming to a little one. Ten chairs are all race cars or princes trucks and have personalized TVs and even some with video game systems like PlayStation or Xbox hooked up. My daughter was placed in the princess truck and you could tell the barber was use to working with babies because she fired up cocomelon on the Netflix and my Daughter was hooked. Playing on her chair car and watching her toons. The barber did a fantastic job and was great with her. She was great herself. She did so good and sat still and the barber didn't have to worry about anything. As mentioned they did give her a little certificate with the barber name and stating first haircut with a clipping baggie of her hair. So that's always a nice keepsake. We will out it with our outer daughters. A little pricey at $16 but it's a special occasion and a cool setup. Not somewhere we will take every time. Just on first haircut and special occasions for fun. Much like we did with the previous place we took our olde three that's now closed. And this place was exactly like that.
