After reading reviews and yelp comments I chose Solace. I loved that I was able to book with Collette online and it was super easy. The place itself is a bit hard to find. It isn't facing the street. I can honestly say Blue Halo Spa gave me the best spa experience I've had and they have made a return customer out of me! (Full review) I arrived at Blue Halo Spa feeling like I had found a little hidden jem in Louisville. I was traveling for work and needed a little down time to relax and Blue Halo Spa was the perfect answer! I was greeted by friendly staff that lead me to the lockers and changing room, then asked to wait in a separate room. The bathroom was very nice, complete with a shower and any products you might want for a quick wash up. After changing I left my belongings in my personal locker then went to the waiting room and made myself a coffee. They had a large variety of coffees, teas, sodas, and water as well as many little snacks. I was promptly greeted by my esthetician, Emily, who was very sweet and made sure I didn't need anything to eat or drink before she took back into one of the rooms. I was getting the Hydrafacial first and then the Forever Young. I have very sensitive skin and I was a bit worried about how my skin would react to the services but I trusted the staff knew what they were talk about when they reassured me it would be okay. For the Hydrafacial, Emily made sure to use precaution and watch my skin closely to make sure the products weren't too harsh for my skin. I laid there as she massaged and suctioned all the dirt and grim straight out of my pores! The Hydrafacial left my skin glowing and youthful, seriously I don't ever remember a time when my skin looked this good! In between my facials I elected to sit in salt room, I didn't have a drink at this time and Emily brought me water just in case I needed it. It's the first one I've been to, and honestly I hadn't heard of them before but I was very curious after looking up all the healing properties they have. The salt room is a calming Blue (I know, you're shocked, didn't see that coming) and has the cutest little aquarium Nemo, Marlin, and Dory included! I was on the cusp of falling asleep in the peaceful salt room when Emily returned to get me for my Forever Young facial. For the Forever Young facial Emily took me into another procedure room. The Forever Young uses a kind of laser to rejuvenate and correct your skin. Emily applied a thick layer of gel (like ultrasound gel) and began facial. It took me a little bit to get accustom to the laser (because I still wasn't sure what to expect.) The area around my mouth (because of your teeth) was the most sensitive for me with this facial. Emily made two passes over my entire face. Then she cleansed my face to remove the gel and I was done! I changed, and went to the front to pay my bill. The staff at Blue Halo Spa were all very friendly, polite, and extremely knowledgable, complete Southern hospitality here! Blue Halo Spa surpassed my expectations in every way. When I went in the room, Ashton sat down with her arms crossed and literally said we aren't doing anything. I was so confused because I had been speaking with the manager. Ashton was so extremely rude to me and it was silent in there because this is something they had obvious intentions with. I was so upset and telling the girls up front that I'd be calling back. Ashton for some reason aggressively walks fast towards me like she was going to put her hands on me. I turned around to confront her and told her to back off. What a dumb decision..finding out later from another client that she was fired for doing the same thing to a client at a different place. Just hiding behind all those good reviews. Remember those reviews reflect your work but not who you are as a person. I also had nose filler done only to find out later they are supposed to use an ultrasound to make sure you don't go blind. They did NOT use an ultrasound and he injected me like 4 times and said done. I didn't know what the routine was so you trust these random people. Never again. I've already filed a formal complaint and will continue up the chain because they refuse to respond from their lack of care. I sat in my car for an hour trying to calm down because I couldn't believe what happened. The manager came out and said " I'm sure we can work something out" lol absolutely not. Our Experience: Mother/daughter couples massage. We went in geared toward a relaxing massage, but these were our first massages since COVID, so it turned out we needed serious therapy. We both have shoulder issues since we are on computers more than ever. We are amazed at the improvement to our range of motion.
