Cindy looks to protect her customers and her family. She goes above and beyond the Covid protocols. This same excellence of care is also applied to her hair styling. I've had other salons book me an hour slot but finish in 25 minutes. Not at Beechmont Bombshells! Each moment was used to provide shampoo, cut and blow dry for excellent classic bob style. Cindy will also give you tips and teach you about her cutting methods, if you ask. What an amazing value. Cindy's storefront has easy street or back lot parking in this neighborhood. The store boasts eclectic retro decor. There is also usually a pet in the store. Cindy has started a Google reservation system which I found helpful and easy to use. Just as Beechmont Bombshells takes care in providing haircare as safely as possible, they expect their patrons to do likewise: stay home if you are sick, temperatures taken before entering, wear a mask, only one customer inside. read more

I made an appointment for cut and color and then found my schedule would not permit me making this appointment time and date. I emailed to cancel my appointment (48 hours prior) and the salon owner attempted to send me a bill for services through email. The bill stated that I owed her the money for services. This is hilarious and a sure fire way to lose a customer. I spend approximately 1200$/year in salon services for my hair. I work all over the country and have short notice windows. I have recently made Louisville my home base but will NEVER bring my business to this salon after she tried to demand I pay for services not rendered. 48 hours should be sufficient notice to a salon that the appointment will need to be rescheduled. I've been looking for a new salon to get a haircut since my previous stylist and I always have opposite work days. I decided to look through Yelp and found this salon. I went to their website and booked through their google business page on Sunday for Tuesday. Today as I'm getting ready to head out since I live about 40 minutes from the location I luckily check my email and my appointment has been rescheduled for tomorrow same time. I didn't get a phone call to ask if this was okay or if I was even available. I canceled the appointment for tomorrow and went back to the website to make sure it wasn't an error on my part. Two chairs. One washing station. Tiny room in Beechmont. This is where the magic happens. I decided to try Beechmont Bombshells for the first time last week, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I got a next-day appointment with Jessica in the hopes of getting some extra layers added in, a trim and some subtle purple highlights -- or at least as subtle as you can do with purple. (Ya know, I have always wanted to get a fun color in my hair. Why not now?) And she fixed me right up. The purple was a the perfect mix between barely noticeable and smack-you-in-your-face plum. And the cut gave my hair some volume, yet the layers don't look terrible when I choose not to curl my hair. Plus, Jessica was easy to talk to. I admit that I suffer from verbal diarrhea in some situations -- like awkward, prolonged silences that can happen with hairstylists. But I didn't feel like words were escaping faster than I could stop them with Jessica. And then, on top of an already great experience, Beechmont Bombshells has some of the best prices I've seen for such a quality hair-do. If I remember right, they charged $20 for a haircut and $70 for color -- the cheapest I've ever seen. Beechmont Bombshells can work on men and women, and I love the pin-up girl decor in this small shop. I was there for about three hours to get the cut and color -- so if you decide to go, allot enough time in your schedule -- but it was three hours well spent. Lovely small local shop with lots of personality. I got my hair cut by Heather. She was very friendly and we discussed what I wanted from my haircut. I brought some photos of a past haircut I liked and I feel like she really listened to what I wanted. I like my hair very short and I think it's a great mix of being short but still professional. The price was reasonable ($20), but when I asked if that included a tip she didn't really answer my question (so I'm guessing it's not included.... It was a kinda awkward moment). The one thing I didn't like was that she didn't actually wash my hair. She kept spraying it instead. I guess it is effective, but I felt a bit like a misbehaving pet and it took away from the experience. Despite a few minor flaws, I'll probably come back here again. read more

This review is based solely on the customer service from this establishment. I would give 0 stars for the lack of professionalism. I was so ecstatic to get my haircut, as it had been a while and my hair had gotten out of control. I showed up early and the place had a sign that read "wait outside when you arrive". I did not see on the sign that a mask was required for entry and when the door opened, a woman opened the door with a thermometer in hand and said "you got your mask?" I was not even greeted with a hello. I said "Oh, are masks required here?" And she responded with a quick yes. I said, "ok, let me go get mine out of my car". I already felt like a scolded schoolgirl at this point in my haircut venture and considered just leaving and saying good riddance. However, my hair is in desperate need of a trim and I decided to give the lady another shot since I could have missed the communication about needing to have a mask. When I returned with my mask on, it fell down under my nose as I was standing there waiting to be let in. She then said, "it needs to fully cover your nose". At this point, it really didn't seem like I was going to get any better customer service, and said "I think I will go somewhere else". She then said, "ok, bye". It honestly left me feeling like she did not even want to try to ask for things she requires in a respectful way to a paying customer and left me feeling disgruntled enough to write this review. read more

Despite having the urge to run home and Yelp about getting such a great haircut at a hip shop for an awesome price, I've waited about a month to figure out if it wasn't just the initial excitement of any new haircut. It isn't. I went in saying that I wanted a completely different haircut and I got just that. I did bring a few pictures to show, but I really like when a stylist has their own ideas about what to do with my hair and that's exactly how this worked out. I came in with a hairstyle that had grown out into a regular shoulder length cut with a few subtle layers and left with a much shorter do and lots of choppy layers. Not only did I leave with an amazing haircut from Cindy, but since she's also the owner I learned a bit about the history of Beechmont Bombshells (definitely ask about it, such a cool story!) and how much pride and care she has for her shop and neighborhood. This shop is unlike many others because it's meant to serve anyone and everyone. Probably the coolest thing about it, in my opinion. Depending on what you want, you can get Great Clips prices ($15!!) for a super stylish cut or you can pay extra for the full wash, cut, color, and high-end style stuff and then well... I personally don't wanna know about those prices. I'm probably about due for a cut soon if I actually wanna do the whole 6-8 week thing everyone recs. The thing is that I just might try that out (instead of doing my usual wait until I can't stand it) since I know its so affordable and can even be a quick process. read more

I'm going to take this review on a different angle and attempt to look through my oldest son's eyes. He's 11. And at this age, it's important to look good. At least for him. And the hair, the hair has to be just right, no simple buzzcut anymore, he's got that Beatles shag. I won't say Bieber because that's just wrong. Anyhow, to the review. 'My dad had set his foot down and said I had to get a haircut on Saturday. I hate haircuts, I like my hair long but I get that it's getting a little thick but I didn't want the buzzcuts I would get when I was younger. My dad said he'd take me to someplace new. That's alright but I still wanted to be sure I didn't get it cut much. Dad had to call for an appointment and we didn't get one until the afternoon so we had some time to waste so we kicked back at Sunergo's and had a hot chocolate. I love a good hot chocolate and dad likes coffee shops. Makes me feel a little older hanging out with him. Time passed and Dad said it was time, I have to admit, I was a little nervous. We crossed the street, I didn't realize it was so close, and entered this little shop called Beechmont Bombshells. I've been to barber shops before but had never been to one so small. There were old pictures on the wall and a couple chairs and one lady in a chair getting her hair done by a 'stylist'. Another 'stylist', that's what Dad said they're called, asked who was getting a haircut and I said I was. The stylist asked me what I wanted and I said I wasn't sure and my dad said that I still wanted the bangs long but the back not as thick. She seemed to have an idea what I was looking for and she went to work. She really did a good job making me feel comfortable, and when it was all said and done, which was really pretty quick, my hair looked exactly as I wanted. I looked pretty chill. And Dad said it was pretty cheap. A good deal all around.' In truth, the above, while not really fiction, would probably have read more simply like this, "Go to Beechmont Bombshell, they are da bomb." Maybe in the future I'll have him write a review entirely on his own. read more

I don't have a lot of haircutting places to compare this to, I'm very lazy and cheap so I usually just let my mom trim it for free :) But I wanted a shorter cut this season and my hair was long enough to donate so off to the stylist I went.... well, it started with walking by and the stylist admiring my dogs so immediate bonus points were given on top of the bonus points for being local. Love the decor, great bold colors and old school atmosphere. Kind of old Hollywood glam meets trendy tattoo parlor. But friendly neighborhood conversation and no pretensions like some hair places. If you're looking for a salon to give you a fancy up-do and have a glass of wine while you get your mani/pedi, this is not what you're looking for. Never will. Because they don't want to be that. (Well, unless you're really, really ready to drop some Benjamins. Read Benjamins. Keep those Hamiltons in your pocket unless you're pulling out 2 for a killer haircut.) Last time I was there they were trying to figure out why people assumed that they did weddings and such. Don't get me wrong: they are both great. Always friendly and I love my cut every time. But this isn't a fru-fru salon. It is more like a 50's barber shop with 2 cool chicks, covered in tats, and armed with a few tools - just what they need to make you look gorgeous for a way beyond reasonable $15. It is bright and cheerful with just enough grit and personality. Walk-ins or appointments are welcome and I've learned that there is even a Sunergos serendipitously placed across the street if you need to kill some time while waiting to be squeezed in. Well, good gosh golly heck! This place is great! I got a regular men's haircut here for the first time a short while ago. I enjoyed the company, had some good laughs, and walked out looking much more attractive (well... at least, above the hairline!). So far, in my lifetime, this is the coolest looking hair shop I've ever walked in. The shop looks like the end-result on one of those make-over shows on a home improvement TV channel. Cindy did my hair for my Agent Carter cosplay for Wizard World Louisville Comic Con this past weekend and did a fabulous job! I was extremely impressed by her ability to get gorgeous, luscious curls out of my normally pin-straight hair. I've been going to Jessica at Beechmont Bombshells for a couple years now, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The price is right, the service is exceptionally good, and the conversation is always great. These girls definitely know what they are doing. I have been letting my hair grow out for most of my time going here, so all I ever really get are boring old trims, but Jessica has made the process of growing out my funky self-made undercut as painless as it could have possibly been. For that I am eternally grateful. They can be a little brief on the phones when making appointments, but cut them some slack. They're always busy, and they don't have a receptionist like bigger salons. I was super happy with the layers she cut while also keeping as much of my length as she could. I was looking for a new hairstylist and stumbled upon this, pardon for quoting Aladdin, "Diamond in the Rough" I had my hair cut by one of the owners, Cindy. She was a lot of fun. The shop is full of life and color. It is a little place with only 3 barber chairs, but it makes it impossible for you not to feel like family. She gave me a great cut with some great advice about how to let it grow to get the style I want. The price was very competitive. It is the same amount as your typical super cuts and sport clips. You get to stay local and have you hair in the hands of a real professional. Cindy also had great advice when it came to products. I will be getting my haircut there again. I LOVED it here!!! I've been to a few places to get my hair done (dyed, cut, highlighted, tinted, trimmed) and the places that I'm usually satisfied with are a little pricey and I cant afford them most of the time. I found this business through Yelp's Monocle on my phone and decided to give them a try, and I was not disappointed! They are much cheaper (price-wise), and did just as good on my hair, if not better. When comparing to other salons, I felt much more comfortable in here than any of the others, which is a huge plus for me. The staff is quirky, extremely nice, and fun to be around. I've been getting my hair cut at Beechmont Bombshells for more than a year now. I cut my hair short a couple years ago now but it wasn't until I came here that I figured out what I wanted to do with it. Jessica was ever-so patient with me - we would discuss what I liked and didn't like about each prior haircut until together we ironed out all of the details of exactly what I was looking for. Now I get my hair cut once a month and Jessica does it perfectly every single time! It's may also be important that I mention that in the past, getting my hair cut is something that has kind of stressed me out - I don't like the anxiety that goes along with being captive in a stranger's chair for any amount of time and getting the small talk run down. Jessica has always made me feel comfortable and has never been a stranger. Now I can really look forward to getting my hair cut, and know that I will be really happy with the results. When I know I'm heading in for a haircut soon I try to get caught up on all of the TV shows we both watch so we can discuss theories and what we think will happen next! I'm the kind of person who will choose the self check-out lane at Kroger rather than speak to another human being, yet at Beechmont Bombshells I'd be happy to sit and gab all afternoon. They make getting a haircut feel like going to see your friends. For me, that's the pinnacle of customer service. P.S. When I was young, my parents used to take me to (not so) Fantastic Sams, local barbers (that only cut men's hair), and eventually took me to Great Clips. One day my grandpa told me that there is a hairdresser's shop down the alley and that I should try it out. To keep a long story short, I went in and got a fabulous haircut with my fiance, and I could never go back to any other place. We both adore Tiffany, she has such skill and personality! She remembers us and everything about us, she is so entertaining and friendly to all. I work next to a Great Clips now, and recently moved into an apartment complex 30 minutes away from B.B.s... But I will always stay true to them! The road to a friend (and fantastic hairdresser) is never too long. read more

I went in to get my hair cut and purple added. It turned out great and had a fun time. I will be coming here for now on.

Very disappointed with my experience. My appointment was at 10a.m. I arrived at 9:50 but The shop was not open yet. I waited until 10:10, when I called, thinking that I had written down the wrong day or time. CIndy showed up at 10:15. When I mentioned that I had just left a message, wondering about my appointment, her response was, "Oh, you're fine." No apologies for being late. I showed CIndy several photos of haircuts that I liked. I understand that not all hair styles are easily replicated due to individual hair types, but she never indicated that any of the styles wouldn't work. My hair doesn't look like any of the photos. My hair is short and cut over my ears. When cutting around my ears, she cut way back past my ears and sheared the hair behind my ears down to my scalp. I have "bald" spots behind my ears. My bangs are 3 different lengths. What a mess! The app wouldn't let me give this review 0 stars, or else I would have. read more

Beechmont Bombshells is the cutest salon you'll ever see. It used to be a barbershop and is tiny with only two chairs. The shop is decorated with pinup images and is very inviting. Cindy has cut my hair several times and I've always been pleased. She is easy to talk to and is pretty funny. Sometimes it's hard to get a hold of the shop to make an appointment but it's so worth it. You can't beat the prices either. Cindy is great! read more

Super great! Very picky about who touches my hair. I have paid as little $5 and as much as $80. Bombshells charges $15 and I am just as happy if not happiest with this cut and experience. I've been going to Beechmont Bombshells for several months, and I'm a big fan. Cindy and Tiffany are a lot of fun, and there's always interesting banter in the shop, both from the stylists or other customers. The shop is nicely decorated, with loads of interesting things on the walls. Cindy is my stylist, and has gotten to know my hair well. Though I'm generally a minimalist, I've recently indulged in some extra services (gray blending), and this has met the approval the approval of my GF (the biggest motivating factor for my personal grooming). The location is easy to get to, I've always found it easy to get an appointment, and its across the street from a great coffeeshop (Sunergos). They do a great job, their services are reasonable priced, and the sylists are fun people. What more could anyone ask for? read more

First of all, use Yelp to get a free eyebrow wax with a cut! Yay! The building is small and easy to miss, so watch carefully! Cindy is both a delight and a hoot! Your eyes will get caught up in the fun decor as well! My cut and foils were excellent, and to get all that done for under $100 is practically unheard of! I am not from here, but so glad my gal pal who is putting me up (and had to put up with my scary 2 month grow out) recommended this place!
