My brother got his done today, showed them a picture and explained what he wanted. He came out and it looked good from what i seen but when i looked at it closer it wasn't. The front part of his hair was UNEVEN and honestly looks like a bowl cut and is not at all what i showed and explained. It looks terrible. Customer service was good tho and everyone was friendly. would not go if you want a good haircut tho. read more

I've been there a few times since I've lived here and I've had good experiences there. My last hair cut really had me feeling myself. I usually cut my hair myself but sometimes I just want that fresh cut feel. I am afraid to get my hair like, done-cut color and style- because I've only lived here a few years and don't know who to go to. But great clips is nice to get a trim and some layers in between styles or while I'm waiting for my hair to grow out. I have heard that getting a good cut depends on who you get there, so keep that in mind. I do wish she would have straightened it curled it for me on the last visit. I'm pretty sure they can at least do that. I know they don't color or anything. read more

I don't ever comment on forums like this but felt the need to this time I got my hair cut by a hairdresser who had the most awful cough, she actually said she had an infection when I asked her about it but still she didn't wear a mask. When I got home I realized she had gapped my hair into several different lengths that required fixing so, I had to go elsewhere to finish it. Lesson learned from Great Clips Mt Sterling read more

I had a good experience here with both my two boys. My youngest son got the manager (blonde older woman) cutting his hair and my older son got the long black haired woman cutting his. They both got different styles and both turned out REALLY awesome. My youngest son's turned out so good that another woman wanted her sons done exactly like my sons while we were there LOL So my youngest son was modeling his hairdo before he even left the place. Although, I have heard A LOT of people here in Mt Sterling from our church, or at work say that it's all in who you get when you go here so I advice you to take note of that part... I will be making sure that if these two ladies aren't available then I will wait or come another day when they are. read more

I would give this establishment a negative if I could! My son & I went there last week for much needed haircuts. $25 later, in ready to shave my sons head & get a mans haircut for myself to start over! The stylists didn't listen to my clear instructions & I was afraid to complain as they might 'try' to make it better. read more

Ok, it is the next day and I just styled my hair. I have to say, the haircut that I received from…read moreAndrea is the best hair cut I have ever gotten in mount sterling. The way my hair is laying is exactly perfect!! I was skeptical that a hair cut at a Walmart salon would be worth as much as going to a salon in Lexington (see my first impression below), but this is perfect and I will be back!! Live and learn! Next time, I won't choose to skip the actual shampoo, I'll purchase the shampoo cut and style. I wish they would just price it at $34.95 because I do think it is deceptive to advertise a $24.95 haircut and then add an extra fee without knowing until you are at the register at the end. But now I know. This haircut is totally worth $35! And just for full disclosure, I'm probably one of the most picky customers when it comes to salons. I have tried nearly every stylist (not just salons, but all the people that work in them) in town and didn't really like any others. (Except for one that does not cut hair anymore). I'm aware I'm not easy to please in this department. I'm looking forward to more haircuts from this stylist!! I got my first hair cut from this salon today. I usually go to Lexington at planet salon, but since Covid I haven't been going to Lexington as much. It has been difficult to arrange an appointment since I never know when I will be in Lexington right now. It was ok. Though I was a bit shocked at the prices. I was told a hair cut, wash, and style was $24.95 but when I checked it out was $35 and I noticed I had an extra $10 fee for to my hair (barely) bring past my shoulders. I also opted not to get an actual shampoo since I had just gotten out of the shower, but I was still charged for a shampoo, cut, and style. This is the same price as a low level stylist at planet salon. If the prices were cheaper than planet salon I could easily see myself stopping in here for a quick trim, but with no price savings over a higher end salon I doubt I'll be back. You wouldn't expect to pay the same for a haircut at Walmart as you would at a fancier salon.
