Over the phone, she was told she could decide to have her hair washed when she arrived, especially because her hair already had product in it for curls. However, once she got there, they refused and said they didn't have time. As a result, her hair looked messy and unfinished, and she came home crying. This was very upsetting on such an important day. We trusted this salon, and they did not deliver the service they promised. I am her mom, and this is the first time I have ever written a bad review, but I felt it was necessary after this experience.

I decided to get my haircut and to be honest I never thought about going to ulta to get my haircut…read more I made an appointment and Alyssa cut my hair for me. She was so nice and helpful. I showed her a picture of what I wanted . And she absolutely met my expectations. She flat ironed my hair and used the curling iron on the ends. I also was assisted by another salon employee in picking out a round brush and some heat protecting spray. I have to say I was surprised they were that busy at 1130 am on a Friday. Total cost with the additional items I purchased was 130.00. The salon area is well lit and clean they also have a small seating area in case you get there early like I did. They offer a variety of services like eye lash application, eye brow waxing , hair coloring, highlights, installing hair extensions or wigs. I've received some many compliments on my new hair cut too!

It's a nice touch and makes the reward feel more personal. Since the products were packaged in cardboard boxes, I asked the sales associate if she could show me what a couple of the containers looked like. She happily opened two of the boxes so I could see them. As I was looking at another option, I started to open the box myself, and her attitude changed immediately. She told me that if I opened that box, they would have to throw it away. That really confused me because she had just opened multiple boxes moments earlier to help me compare the products. I couldn't understand why it was acceptable when she did it but not when I did. From that point on, the interaction felt very awkward, and she came across as short and rude. I understand there was a line and they were busy, but if helping customers choose a birthday gift slows down the checkout process, it might make more sense to display the birthday gifts somewhere other than the cash register. I love that Ulta offers choices, but the experience of selecting one shouldn't leave customers feeling like they're inconveniencing the staff. So this rating is based solely on the customer service interaction
