    I was next door at Panera using the bathroom on a quick pit stop our way to Pa and I decide to see if someone could give me a trim since I have had the worst experience with haircuts! Omg she was AMAZING! She schooled me on what type of conditioner to use (without selling me any) and how to care for it wet. Her conversation was amazing, like we were old school friends. Best trim I have had in over 20 years! I wish I had gotten her name so I can go back when I'm ready to cut off this hair! Excellent job excellent customer service and the employees were so nice: Thanks Toots if your reading this your the best and I appreciate you 100%

Everyone who works there is incredibly nice and helpful, and I really loved the location and overall vibe of the salon. However, the stylist I usually booked appointments with left, and since then I've been occasionally going when I'm in town and booking haircuts with anyone who is available. Over 2 years, the several haircuts I've gotten have progressively gotten worse. For the first few instances, at least 5 inches of my hair were chopped after asking for 2. But the last time I went truly made me decide that I can never go back. This time, I asked for a trim and to freshen up my layers and was clear that I did not want to shorten my face framing pieces. The stylist chopped layers only on the left side of my head that were less than half of the length of my hair. This uniform layer was cut for the entire left front half of my hair. On the other side, the same thing was done for a slightly smaller section, but any blending of this layering was very choppy. The layers around my head are at some places shorter than the chopped section from the left side of my hair. On top of this, the blending is so choppy even when I keep my hair naturally curly/ wavy it's still very noticeable. I already had shorter hair, but now it barely goes past my shoulders. Also, after drying and styling my hair at the end, the top of the back of my head was still damp which ruined my blowout as it dried curly. This horrible and careless haircut will take months if not a year to completely grow out and fix. Truly considering chopping my hair extremely short since I have my sister's wedding in 2 months and have to wear my hair down.

    A few months back my go to stylist, whom I've been seeing for over 15 years got out of the…read morebusiness. I've been floating around ever since trying to find someone new. While asking for recommendations on Facebook, Reveal came highly recommended by someone who I value their opinion. I corresponded with the salon via Facebook messenger for some time before we ultimately were able to co-ordinate our schedules as I often work 13 hour days. By the time of my appt I was way overdue for a haircut, about 2 months overdue. Conveniently located in Mt Joy on the main road the salon was easy to find and had ample parking. It's located on the lower level and is small, enough for maybe 2 or 3 stylists. Lindsey, the owner, is who I was referred to by my friend. She's young and energetic. She explained she's been in the business for a while before opening up the salon herself just this year. I liked that she took pride in her shop and was very friendly and warm. I came prepared with a picture of the style I wanted and explained my hairs little quirks. She immediately got to work. After shampooing and cutting she blew dry my hair and I was very impressed with the cut. Even before styling it looked great. Long layers can tend to look choppy before styling and this cut did not. My hair was silky and smooth. She then proceeded to curl my hair as I requested it be styled like the picture with long cascading "feathered" sides, like a modern Farrah Fawcett. Along the way she explained what products she used and the best technique to achieve volume which I was seeking. The style however looked nothing like the picture and instead I was given "beachy" waves. Not that it looked bad (it didn't) it just wasn't what I wanted. I also noticed that my bangs were long and asked for them to be cut, which she did, however than they were cut much too short which did disappoint me. While I was in her chair she proceeded to have in-depth conversations with waiting customers, about vacation, kids, schedules and so forth. It's obvious that they had a friendship as well as a client relationship. However I felt she was a tad distracted and would have preferred conversations that detailed happened while they were in her chair, not when I was. It was an uncomfortable feeling and aside from exchanging a few pleasantries I feel the focus should be on the client in the chair. That may have explained the overly short bangs. Overall the experience was more good than bad. A 3.5 experience I'm rounding up to 4 stars. I'm happy with my cut with the exception of the bangs. Next time I would put more emphasis on how I want it styled. While I hesitate to declare that she's the "one" I will return at some point.
