I have been using Great Clips as my hair salon for over 12 years now, ever since I first moved to NV and then to Maricopa, AZ. I have always been very satisfied with the service I have received. Especially from the stylist I am using now in Maricopa, Edith. She has a great personality, listens, and knows exactly how I want my haircut, and has always done an exceptional job. Understaffed and overpriced. You never see the same person twice so they obviously have a turnover problem. Their online app is worthless because when they tell you that you're next in line, you go in to find people ahead of you. I've deleted their app from my phone. read more

The stylist treated me as a number and not a paying customer. Since she had a regular up next to her their haircut. I felt unimportant and was pushed out the door with a haircut I did not ask for. She began cutting my hair as soon as I was done explaining what I wanted. Anyone who has been growing their hair out knows how long it takes to grow it and to have this stylist take away months I spent growing my hair out, was disrespectful, and rude. I've never had a worse haircut in my life. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I had known this is how great clips operated. I would have never spent my money here. What a pleasant surprise! I recently moved to Copa and was not all that thrilled with the other places I had gone for a haircut. I asked some of my neighbors where they go and Great Clips was the almost unanimous answer. Understand that we are not young women and have short styles but I was totally THRILLED with the service I got - both for how the front of the shop works and the haircut. I would tell you who cut my hair but I don't want to make her too popular. Another bonus is to load the app to your phone and you can reserve your spot in line. Barely moved to town took my children for a hair cut and Rose cut both kids hair first one wasn't too bad she had side bangs so easy to hid the mess up the next was a straight across the forehead bangs I told her long bangs like past her eyes she did it below and made it so uneven I noticed the back was worse told her I'd like it fixed my money back or a manager all she did was give me her managers store number nothing else never heard a call back luckily the other stylist did her best to fix it. I have given this place three tries. The first time I came here a lady with short highlights hair cut my hair. I explained to her exactly how I like my hair cut which isn't hard at all. Number three on the sides and back, faded, about a half inch off the top, I comb it down and spike the front up so I like the fade to be a little bit lower when you blended it. She said she understood. Well it came out completely wrong. Second time I went back only because we got a seven dollar coupon. The manager cut my hair and it was seriously uneven, back was taller then the front, bangs we're even level. I gave up. Took my son here and another lady completely screwed his head up. The fade was patchy as hell as if her clippers don't cut with the same consistency. I pointed all of this out and she said she didn't know how to fix it. Needless to say I will not be returning here at all. The Barber shop on the end of the building fixed everything. Please be aware of this place. They are more concerned rushing you out the door instead of giving you a quality cut. read more

The reason for 1 star the women cutting my hair was cutting my hair left to answer the phone. Came back stared cutting my hair stoped help the receptionist and came kept doing my layers no one needs layers in the middle of my scul regardless of what time of hair I have its freaking ridiculous. Well, the decor is nice and the staff is always friendly. I like the check-in phone app and I am usually happy with the haircut. Months back I bought a bunch of their prepaid haircuts at $9.99 each on cards. They worked for awhile but at some point they converted to a cash balance card instead of prepaid haircuts. I was not getting the benefit of my bargain. Each time the manager had to fix it and I hated the hassle. Even though Great Clips had the benefit of my money in advance I felt a reasonable solution would be a refund of my remaining balance I was informed by the manager that the owner would not allow that. In my opinion that leaves them on pretty shaky grounds ethically. I didn't pitch a fit, just told them in a calm voice that I was very angry and left. I feel that I was taken advantage of and handled in a unacceptable manner. The take away here, don't ever buy their prepaid cards. It's not worth the hassle.. read more

Went there in the morning and waited an hour to see someone. There were people who came after I set my appointment and they were seen before me. The stylist tried to push me to see someone else but I wouldn't. That was a mistake as the stylist did a terrible job. I hate this place and wish to never come back to this place. read more

I love Great clips! My husband, son, daughter, granddaughter and myself all get our hair cut there. The boys have gone to several of the girls and they all do great cuts. My daughter, granddaughter and myself all go to LaShonda. She is the bomb!! She's fast, accurate and is just darn awesome! Wouldn't go anywhere else or to anyone else. The price is unbelievable, don't know how they do it and they have coupons often. So very happy we went here when we moved here last year. One less thing to stress over. Never again! I asked for a spike top with short on the sides and fade in the back and I end up looking like a coconut veering towards a conehead. Look I know it's Corona days and everyone is desperate for a hair cut but the lady paid more attention to who was coming in the front while she butchered my hair. If you want to wait 36 minutes after checking in on line, which was okay because I don't mind waiting my, but after waiting 36 minutes and another customer that entered 25 minutes after I did was taken ahead of me then go here. After asking for an explanation why, I was asked if when I entered the store if checked in with someone to let them know I was there, I said I checked in online. The lady told me even though I checked in online I needed to check in once I entered the store. I asked what was gained by checking in online if I needed to check in once I entered the store. She replied, you will be next. I said I should have been next before the customer was taken ahead of me. The answer given was I would be next with a free haircut. I don't want a free haircut I want to be taken as my time comes up and not have people taken ahead of me that came in after I had been waiting. read more

The "stylist" who cut my 4 year old daughters hair should not be allowed to push a broom there. She cut her bangs way, way to short even though she was asked 3 times to cut them above the eye brows. When they realized the cut was going bad they expected for us to wait until another "stylist" was available to fix(in their our words) the hair cut. But what can be done with supper short hair?? To cut it all short. Nope. Then they actually thought they were getting paid for the butcher job. The "stylist" would not give her name to us once she realized we would add a rating. I decided to break from routine and get a haircut at a local Great Clips. I called ahead and asked if they had an experienced barber that could do a flat top. The lady assured me that they did. I was Leary to say the least when she sat me in a chair of a 20 something fibbertygibbet dressed like Madonna. Half way through this butchering, she asked my advice and then the advice of the owner on how to accomplish this haircut. Kid you not, it was an inch longer at the sides than the center. I've been going to great clips for more than 15 years and the longest I've ever waited for a haircut is 25 minutes. I sat at this store in Maricopa for over an hour and they never got to me. Sorry, but I can't wait all day for a haircut. This location needs to add additional staff for peak times. Poorly managed operation. read more

Just left....waited 45 minutes after arrival at the store. I previously checked in online and my name was next. 2 haircutters in the store and 2 customers in the chair ahead of me. My girlfriend went for an appointment here and the stylist didn't come in. We re-scheduled for the next day and when we walked in the manager said we would be the first customer for the stylist day. When we walked in (early), the stylist took someone else first. My girlfriend went to the manager and asked what happened and she would not answer. When we finally got to the chair for a cut the stylist took out the electric razor and went right for the scalp with a #2 blade! My girlfriend yelled my name and when I went up to see what was wrong I couldn't believe what I saw. I feel the stylist did this on purpose. She should never cut hair again. I'm very disappointed. I took my 79 year-old mom there today for a shampoo and blowout. Her stylist insisted on using a curling iron on her hair after drying it...even after my mom asked her twice not to. The stylist also asked her where she had her hair cut recently...and how much she spent on her cut..."because you got a really bad cut...it's uneven." I went back to the store to tell the stylist I thought she had treated my mom very inappropriately...and that I thought her comments were completely unprofessional. Horrible hair cut!!! I tell Tammy to cut my hair short on the sides and just trim the top a little. It starts out fine. She cuts the sides down to wear I like it with the clippers and trims the top a 1/2" or so. Next thing I know she has the clippers out again saying "I wouldn't have cut it like this before" and starts buzzing down the top before I really knew what she was doing. She trimmed it once before a couple months before. By the time I know it its to late to fix anything. Apparently you tell her one thing and for some reason she cuts your hair the exact opposite or chooses her own style.. Good luck on that one people. I've had some pretty bad haircuts in my 35 years but never like this. I could've cut it better myself even though I've never cut hair in my life. Thank god it'll grow back.
