Place was packed but the girl did my hair was awesome! No wonder it was packed!!! Not see if I would endure the wait again!

This place was really good with the old crew. I've had my haircut and kids' here for years. I came here last week Thursday for a haircut and I think that is my last. This lady called my name (you know who you are), I've never seen her before. But this is Great Clips and I expected she is good, like the establishment she represents. First thing I noticed, the cape she put on me was fresh from the customer I followed. When I say fresh, with the cut hair that she did not even try to shake it off. So the hair of that customer is all over me, nasty. But then I said to myself only few minutes and it will be done. I told her the cut I want. So she began cutting my hair in a hurry. She used her hand to remove the hair on my neck and my face. Then she inadvertently cut my sideburn very high. That is when I spoke up. Instead of apologizing, she put the blame on me. Talking about my Kiti-kitis. What does it has to do with sideburn? She also told me if I'm smart I should know that I have many kitikitis. Very disrespectful. She also asked me what is my line of work. What in the hell, does my work has to do with my haircut. But I respectfully answered her, "I'm in the medical field." That is when she tried to smoothen her talk. I told her I will pay whatever she will charge me just to get my cut properly done. I asked her if she has water spray, to soften my hair because I just woke up but she said she does not use spray. What is this, is she the one getting the haircut or I do? A customer requested something, if you don't have it, then say you don't have it. Like a brush not hand wiping off hair on my face and neck, gross! My haircut looked bad or shall I say, was not what I expected to get at Great Clips, because this place is great. I suggest they should hire hair stylist who are good in what they do, a little knowledge with what is sanitary or not and has learned a little bit of customer service. I'm sorry GREAT CLIPS, you lost few customers that day. Hire better hair stylists! read more

My son (6) loves this place and so do I. Sam has become our favorite. Her and my son get along great! She is patient and tries to be quick. They have great coupons in the mail that help. I also know of the owners and they do a great job with customer service and keeping this place in good condition. Prices are reasonable. Keep up the good work. read more

Never going here again. I only was going back because the first time I went the girl was super nice and the atmosphere for friendly. TOTALLY opposite today. The older lady seemed flustered cause it was busy, lots of kids sitting and playing on the ground in the waiting area. What really upset me was the way she acted towards my baby. The bowl of lollipops were on the counter and my baby asked for one. I told my baby help yourself, the older lady then yanked the bowl off the counter put it under the counter and said you can get one after your service. Come on, it's a dang lollipop that she probably didn't even buy. I know it's something small but it's the small things that make people return. This lady was not here the first time we came and I'm saddened we won't go back since the previous girl was nice and made my sons hair really nice. Hope they retrain this older lady in customer service because I will also not recommend this place to others. read more

Best place to get a haircut in Kapolei hands down. I usually get my haircut from Ashley. She's great at her craft and is nice and attentive. A haircut is $17 which is around the normal price for most places but it's the quality and attention to detail that makes this place worth it. read more

We initially tried this place because of the mail coupons(i think they offered $5 or $7 haircuts) they sent out during their grand opening. When we first walked in, there was a good amount of people waiting for a haircut with coupons in hand. As we were waiting i made it a point to see the finished product on the customers from the different hairstylist there. I noticed how good Ashley's customers hair were cut and requested my son to go to her. My son loved his hair and ever since the opening of Great clips we've been going to Ashley (except 1 time when we were in desperate need of a haircut and she wasnt there). Gina did a great job on my new "bob" hair do! I have not done any stylish cut on my hair since 2002 and was kinda anxious of how it would turn out. She took her time to texturize and even blow dried it to see if any corrections were needed! Will definitely come back! read more

Our favorite place to go to get my sons haircuts. They are really good at what they do and can do whatever you ask them to. I was always happy with the haircuts that my sons get. It's a cool mellow place. Love that they have a tv in there in case you have to wait. Being able to check in through an app is pretty awesome. Makes life so much easier. Also the weekly coupons for $7.99 or whatever may be going on makes me want to go there every time. They didn't cut my hair the way I wanted twice but it's hard to really complain when I'm paying $7.99. Still think it beats $20 at Supercuts though. Regardless, this is my new haircut spot read more

I love this location. Great service, great results! My husband comes here every few weeks, and pretty much every stylist has done his hair and he has amazing results every time. I've gotten my hair layered and trimmed here and also had some extensions cut (even though they don't do that, she made an exception!) My extensions turned out perfect and blended so well with my hair. Their prices are incredible and the service is always amazing. The check in online option is perfect too. Love this place! I will update once I get the lady's name that does my sons hair for the past 2 times we've went. she's awesome! she's so patient with him, my son likes talking story with her. she always does his cut fast with great quality. he loves at the end of every cut he gets a lollipop. there is no appointments. they have a check in system online; you can go on their website or download the app. when you make a "profile" there they will save what style & what clip number they used; so when you go back they already know what to do. there is also coupons that come out in the "Akamai shopper" packet in the mail. read more
