I come here alot and have never had bad reviews until last time I was in there, the beginning of April. The lady that cut my hair was super annoyed and kept criticizing how dry my hair was. She also mentioned that she saw dye spots ony scalp. I touched up my roots once in a while. So what? She rolled her eyes. She was super fast and just wanted me gone. I have never been treated like that before. I still left her a tip. She may of been just having a bad day but. I wasn't stalling or rude at all. I am a relatively quiet person. I was very disappointed in her service to me. It honestly hurt my feelings. I will continue to come back but that particular girl needs to tone down her attitude. Thank you. read more

This past Thursday, I decided to stop at the great clips in Hookset NH for a much needed haircut. This was my first visit to a great clips and I am pleased to say I got a "great clip". My wait time was minimal, the price was right and my stylist was attune to what I requested be done to my hair. As an older woman that was refreshing. My only regret is not tipping her more. I went here because my regular hairstylist was booked so far in advance so I went here thinking it would be one time deal. The stylist did such a great job! I've been here three times and the last time Mikayla (spelling) cut my hair and gave me a great chin length bob. To start...prior two visits were perfect visits. The same woman cut my hair both times. Arrived for a cut. I was told the wait would be twenty minutes. There were three people ahead of me who had checked in online that I would have to wait for. I came back twenty minutes later....I walked in just behind the family who had check in on line who were the three on the list ahead of me twenty minutes ago and was told after explaining I was told to come back in twenty minutes once already that I would have to wait another twenty minutes. Only after voicing my disappointment and the mother of the family hearing me and saying I could get my cut before them did the salesperson/hair dresser saying they would cut my hair. I thanked the customer offering to let me go first. At that point I had no desire to be treated as an upset exception. I preferred to have my expectation set and be treated as a regular customer. The solution would have been to explain it would have been forty minutes or for Great Cuts to explain that I had been there waiting twenty minutes and would be taken next as normal business. Not be cause I expressed disappointment and another customer graciously agreed. I said thank you for not managing my expectation and began to leave. Person at the desk stated I am sorry she ( the customer) did say you could go first. Not the right mood for me to sit down for a haircut. I should not have been fourth on the list and still fourth on the list when I returned with the same 3 customers ahead of me. I walk into this salon every month. Yesterday 7 people arrived after me and taken ahead of me. When I questioned them I was told they all made appointments on line and I should do the same. This is a walk in salon. Clients beware. I left and will not be back. If you can't handle the walk ins then you should advertise as an "appointment only" salon. read more

I went in yesterday for a bang trim. The stylist was an older woman with long red hair with white roots. This is the worst bang trim I've ever had in my life. It is crooked, uneven, and much shorter than I asked for. She made no effort, just started at one side and walked her scissors "straight" across. Too short already to go to someone competent. Im so upset about my hair. I asked the stylist for a bob. Thats not what i got! She told me she was doing a layered bob... there is indention in the back of my hair!! It doesn't even blend together!! Please beware. The stylist has long red hair and has no clue what shes doing. She also put gel in my hair i guess to disguise how bad my hair was. Now i gotta pay to fix her mistakes.
