Received a hair smoothing treatment called Magic Sleek from Hallie, and was extremely impressed and satisfied with the level of commitment provided. Not only was she thorough in ensuring that every step was done correctly, she was professional and personable. THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR MAGIC SLEEK! They charge $100 for hour and they booked me for 4 hours took 4 hours and 30 minutes paid total $560 with tip.... I am said that stay treatment up to six months but after first wash my hair was not straight as it should be,at the same time I mentioned Kayla from end it's not straight and trust me I cut my hair every months no split end and pretty nice hair only I had is frizz...all my life I have done keratin and rebounding treatments and had great results... this time my hair still have frizz, wave and dry while contacting the salon they felt I need refund so, they keep on saying we cant refund you but give you 20% discount to book an appointment again and when I sent the pictures got call from Other dresser book an appointment in upcoming week to rectify their mistake with 50% off so, in total I have to pay $700 just to get the straight hair which is not my even my mistake... i should I should get call from Kayla who did all experiment in my hair which badly failed....I don't know how they take so lightly, total I paid $560 for magic sleek which have frizz, wavy, dry and looking to my hair I feel it will stay not more than 2 months.... That mean $560 is in trash...So trust me this is not the salon for the Magic sleek... in the picture lighting still make my hair little better but in person it's worse than this....Wht the use of spending so much money where I have to carry my Dyson anyways and straighten my hair bcoz it's all messed up few are straight, few are wavy and some part have frizziness .... I got the absolute worst haircut of my life at this place. The person who cut my hair asked if I wanted a trim and I said sure. She then proceeded to chop these alleged face framing layers. They are blunt, choppy, thick, unflattering, do not flow together at all. I look like I have 3 different haircuts going on. It's been three months. I had a stylist somewhere else fix it, but it will look bad for another 6-8 months because the shortest layers are just so thick and so short... The only way to fix them would be to lose most of my length. I even had to try and get extensions, but because of the positioning of the layers, it just wasn't a viable option as they wouldn't blend well. I don't want to mention the stylist's name, I honestly don't even recall. I just know it was not the owner. I am writing this to warn other women to be very cautious so this does not happen to them. They could have given me a refund ( I was too upset to go back) but they can't give me my hair back. A careless, thoughtless job translated into a lot of money spent, sadness ( yes, it's a Cadillac problem, but I was sad about what she did to my long hair) and sooooo much more time styling it in the morning. Because it is so choppy, I can't just let it air dry and go like I used to - it looks very strange. I have to constantly use a flat iron to style it and try and hide the damage. I ended up having to buy a $250 flat iron so my hair wouldn't get destroyed from all the heat. I definitely learned a lesson by going to this place. I lesson I could have done without. read more

Didn't get the desired color the first time, confused myself with what I wanted and confused the stylist, too, but they were happy to fix it and get the color I was looking for after I showed the pictures of what I was thinking to get. My haircut was just ok and my mani/pedi was not great. They do not have the tools needed to give an appropriate mani/pedi and flat out do not believe in removing cuticle. Ugh. I have unruly cuticles and if you push them back, they just fall back and take over my nail. By appropriate tool, I mean that the cuticle tool was wood (which doesn't matter anyway if the person doing the nails refuses to remove cuticle) and not metal. There was no place to sit and have my nails dry, I was rushed out with wet nails that were ruined immediately. The pedicure "tool" was nothing but very light sandpaper - not even pumice stone. Additionally, one pedi chair makes it less fun for a girl's day out. I appreciate that the people there were nice but not wanting to cut cuticles, not having anything to remove calluses and no place to dry my hands and feet before leaving just didn't do it for me. read more

I have been going to Ashley Christopher Salon for over a year now. I moved from Boston and was sure I would never find a salon in NH capable of much more than a trim. To my surprising delight I found the first stylist and team I have ever felt complete confidence in. I love the cut and multi-dimensional color I get at ACS. I really appreciate that they are always straight with me and don't make me come back more than I actually need to- I get color twice a year because that's all I need. Their prices are competitive and reasonable. I really respect the fact the team takes time each season to travel to New York and learn the latest techniques and trends in hair. I have been having Ashley cut my hair for over 4 years now. My brother clued me into her when I moved back to the area, and now I would not trust anyone else to cut my hair. I have dirty blond hair that is thinner than corn silk - if it's not cut right it shows every single line. Ashley's attention to detail is key. She takes the time to make sure it looks perfect and your happy with the result. As a dude I could not comment on any of their spa type services, but I will say her staff is VERY friendly and I am always offered a cold beer on my arrival. I was a previous client of a hairdresser at Ulta in Manchester, but after she left I decided to find a new salon. After a bit of Google searching I ended up going with Ashley Christopher Salon. I really enjoyed my experience with them. When I first walked in I noticed a little table full of refreshments for customers (bottled water, snacks, coffee) and the girl at the desk was incredibly friendly. Dru cut my hair for me and she was wonderful. Super sweet, relaxed, and really listened to what I wanted. When I was done, I was given a bunch of coupons for future visits. Oh and my previous stylist from Ulta? Turns out she now works at Ashley Christopher Salon! So with her and Dru there I know I'll never have a bad haircut again! On a side note: I did not get a mani/pedi while there, but from what I saw everything seemed to be very professionally set up. Ok to start off this is the worst place I have ever been professionally yet. Below are some of the reason why I didn't have a very welcoming experience. I scheduled with danae and when I arrived Jessica went over to her they chatted with her. Jessica sat me at a station never once did they ask if I was ok with switching. I did a lot of research and scheduled my appointment with whom I wanted to do my hair. I'm new to area and get my hair colored every 4 weeks I am looking for someone i can trust. After Jessica started doing my hair she said you aren't scheduled for a blow dry? I have never in my life been to a salon that the stylist wouldn't want to finish her work and make sure it looks right especially after color. If this was done I wouldn't have 3 inch roots that are a different color then the rest of my hair. A very prominent line of demarcation. After shampooing my hair she combed it and said if I wanted to blow dry it myself i could because her next client was there but I came in for a service not a DIY session. I have done hair myself for years and to me this is just not professional. It doesn't take that long to blow dry someone I wasn't asking for a style just something to go out in public with... I went in yesterday for a color, cut, and brows. Jill is a goddess. Very pleasant to talk to and fun! She did my hair absolutely perfect and my eye brows are on...how do the youngins say it... FLEEK! The other girls in the shop were just as friendly and bubbly. It definitely has the feel of what, I assume, 50s hair salons would be- full of gossip, sipping wine, and an all around great experience. Not very knowledgeable about dying hair (mine was colored over partially lightened hair and the color didn't take which I had asked if it would happen it the beginning and she said no it'll be fine). Definitely a place where some of them just walked out of hair school. Booked an appointment for my Girlfriend, I was very clear that she wanted a cut and color (and wanted the color all over not just highlights) tried to make the appointment for a Saturday, no luck, OK so was told Tuesday at Noon. No problem she gets there and tells them what she wants and is told they don't have time for that!!!! That they can cut today, and she can come back for the color (which will be more of course) and they try to tell her that it's because they were NOT told she wanted full color!!! They were told, they were just trying to make more money by forcing her to have a second appointment! DON'T GO HERE! Oh and they also said it would be $200+ for the color (As another reviewer stated "Demi") and she could just become a regular and come back every 3 weeks for a recolor!!! read more

I cannot say enough fantastic things about Ashley Christopher. I went there after I had a horrible experience at another salon. I had lash extension put on at a different salon. They were painful and kept falling off. The lashes were glued to my lids which I thought was normal. They were too thick and heavy for my natural lashes and had caused them to become extremely unhealthy. I found this out when I went in to have a fill because the other salon couldn't fit me in to fix what was happening. Katie immediately saw an issue and consulted with Ashley. Both were extremely apologetic and felt it would be healthiest for my eyes to remove all the extensions and not apply more for a couple of weeks, so my lids and natural lashes could heal. I was sold on Ashley Christopher immediately. They didn't have to tell me anything. Katie could have just put in the fills and collected the money. Instead, they cared about the health of my eyes and lashes and making sure I was happy. Ashley took over my lashes two weeks later. This is the first time anybody ever explained what was happening, why she applied the type of lash she was, and how my lashes were applied and what their care involved. I will never go anywhere else. Ashley, Katie and the rest of her staff are so professional and truly care about their clients. Their clients' happiness is paramount, and it shows. If it wasn't for Katie being so ethical, it's very possible I could have lost all my lashes and my eyesight. I love these women and they have not only earned my business but my respect. read more

Ashley has done such a great job cutting my hair, so I finally took the plunge and had her do my color. Wow! I asked for "professional but a little edgy" and she nailed it. Lovely auburn dimensional color with pumpkin and red highlights. Sounds a little crazy but it really works. The salon is located in a strip mall on Second Street, a hidden gem in Manchester. Professional, high quality service and products in a warm and welcoming environment. If you are looking for a new salon, I highly recommend Ashley. So I was travelling on business with my fiancée and desperately needed a full color and cut. The salon was able to book me an appointment right away which I was happy with. I brought a sample hair weft to color match with me. The stylist, a junior associate, and very sweet, was able to match the hair color very well. She gave a very relaxing head massage during my shampoo. Nice trim and style too. However, after my hair was completed and I was about to pay, I was told she used a Demi hair color not a permanent. Demi hair color washes out quickly and I needed the coverage a permanent provides. I did notice that Ashley the owner did this very same little trick to her client a seat over from me. As she completed the women's hair and client was about to get up to pay she told her she used a demi permanent color. Helloo! That means Semi permanent...it washes out. That is the sort of thing that needs to be discussed with the client prior to application. I did Not want a kind of permanent color. If the salon only uses demi color than that needs to be discussed upfront either while booking appointment or when your first in the chair. It seems devious. I'm just saying. I don't blame the young stylist. She's doing what she's told or trained too. So, in 3 weeks or less, back to the salon I go. Hmmmm read more

It's not threatening and smearing when it's 100% true, also i dont need to do anything because your horrible work speaks for itself in all 19 photos of my hair! Ya, you offered to OVERSEE someone fixing my hair which was not happening. It's not my fault that my trust for your salons work was and is completely gone and what makes this even worse is the fact that I already have alopecia which i informed my hair dresser of and getting my hair dyed in the first place was not good for it, but now having to do it for a second time is absolutely horrible for it and could cause my hair to fall out even more, so of course I'm gonna take extra precautions and go to someone that has been doing this for over 30 years and teaches cosmetology to make sure this gets done right, like it should of been the first time! Me not wanting to come back and have your people touch my hair for the second time is something anybody and everybody would do after the horrible experience I had with your salon! Im not misrepresenting your salon in anyway, there hasnt been 1 thing that I have said about all this that wasnt true! Your the owner, you could refund any amount at anytime and if you had a shed of decency you would. You not wanting to refund half my money so I can put it towards fixing what your salon did is not an industry thing, it's a you being greedy thing! I had been to this salon a couple of times over the past few years and had pretty good service. They were able to get me in for a color when I needed it in a pinch and that was convenient for me. My last appointment for a color was about 6 weeks ago so when I got an email reminding me I was due for another treatment I decided to book online with them again. I was really disappointed at the service I received. First, when I arrived the girl who greeted me (I didn't catch her name because she said it quickly as she was walking me to the chair), seemed very rushed. She didn't speak to me during the process of applying the color, even when I tried to make "small talk". Then, when she put me under the dryer, I overheard her talking to another stylist about a women who walked in to make an appointment. They weren't overly rude, but suffice to say, they were kind of making fun of her and I felt bad for this women as she left the salon. When "K" (I think her name began with the letter "K"), told me it was time to wash out the color she asked me if I planned on leaving with my hair wet combed out or wet curled. I was unclear. I asked her what she meant...leaving with my hair wet? She said she didn't have time to blow-dry my hair! I was really surprised. I have never been to a salon that didn't set time to dry hair so the client can actually see how the color came out. She explained that was "extra" and I should have booked it separately. ??? I explained I had been to the salon a few times in the past, and in all my years at other salons, I had never had to ask for a blow-dry with a color. She seemed surprised and said she was sorry but the other stylists should have booked the services separately. She then sighed and said she would blow dry if I really needed it. Well, I did! I had errands to run and didn't want to run around town with wet hair - not unreasonable, right? So, without speaking, she did blow-dry my hair. Myself and one other lady were the only clients in the salon so I was wondering why she made me feel like I had to get out of there so quickly. I feel bad because I would have gone back to the salon had it not been for this experience. To top it off, I have to wonder if the other stylist who clearly heard all of this was the owner or the manager. If so, I wonder why she wouldn't have stepped in at some point to assist. It was clear that I was embarrassed and misled. So, to summarize, be sure that if you do visit this salon you are sure to specify that you don't want to leave with your locks soaking wet as they will assume you do. read more

My haircuts always look good and my stylist Sabrina spends lots of time with me. Its really hard to find a place where people actually care and arent trying to sell you into services you don't need. I went there for a lux pedicure and shellac on my nails and it was absolutely not worth the $85 spent. They don't have the equipment most nail salons have and my nails chipped within an hour. My nails looked the same way leaving as they did walking in. Would not recommend getting your nails done here. read more

Was initially excited about Ashley Christopher salon. Called for appointment and reviewed the hair style I was looking for with receptionist, also had consultation and shared pictures with stylist the day of appointment. Although she agreed to not take off more than 1/2 inch length, I ended up with barely 1/2 inch length overall! Total nightmare, will take at least 4 to 6 months to regrow hair to original length. To top it off, Ashley, owner and manager, apologized for the stylist, agreed it was not what I requested. She indicated she heard the consultation, saw the stylist cutting too much but did want to "step over any boundaries". I think that response was appalling. So the weather is beautiful, summer is arriving and I'm too embarrassed by this cut to leave the house - would NOT recommend this salon to anyone. read more
