She also did my bridesmaids hair, and all were so happy and felt beautiful. I wanted a flowy, romantic low bun, and Lydia delivered. I did my trial run a few weeks prior and since we are still dealing with COVID, she made sure to pull out all the stops to protect her clients and her staff. We all wore masks, my temp was taken prior to walking into the salon, I felt very safe. The same precautions were taken the day of my wedding. Lydia is a great listener and when I showed her photos and described what I wanted, she did it perfectly. She made great recommendations and adjustments to what I was thinking and I felt amazing. I would recommend G2 Salon for anyone looking for a style, cut or color, Lydia is professional, kind, and so skilled and knowledgeable about all things hair!

I was a bit nervous when she started cutting my hair with a razor but her skill immediately put me at ease. She really seemed to have a great sense of what style I was interested in having; what would look good with my face and lifestyle. Then she styled it and when I turned around in the chair, I felt like I was in a movie or on one of those TV shows when they get ready for the big "reveal." I looked Amazing. In talking to the owner, who cut my hair, she told me that she has trained in Paris and several large salons. I have never had the money to pay for that level of service but now I can. The next day, I ran a flat iron through my hair a couple of times and I was off to work. I have never had so many compliments. People were asking if I had lost weight...always a good thing. I waited to write this review because the real test is: "Can I wash and style my hair to look like how the professionals do it? The sign of a GREAT hair cut is that indeed you can replicate the results. I have two teens and work full time, I don't have time to futz with my hair. And amazingly enough, I was able to style it! Now I want to go back and try the other services. My two daughters also want to go too. One of my daughter's commented on how my confidence seems boosted and it is. All of that from a great hair cut.

I've seen a fair share of businesses that 'hate grouponers' but this lady was very welcoming. But the waxing wasn't the greatest. The door was accidentally left ajar during some part of the service (gasp!). Although I was the last customer of the day and the wax room was in the far end of the salon, I was still uncomfortable with that situation. And then she got one of the waxed clothes stuck onto my clothes (ugh!). I couldn't get the wax off my clothing and had to throw that piece away. Basically, this is a good place, looks clean, the folk are nice, but there was no attention to detail. I'm not sure I'll go back here.

Haircuts are $23 for women and $18 for men, making it one of the best haircut deals in town! The haircuts are very quick. I would consider their salon for more basic haircut needs versus a major hair transformation. They do not offer any color services. Honestly, my dad had taken me to her when I was a kid, and I got one of those too short haircuts that traumatize you - but I was 12 at the time and probably very unable to communicate what I wanted...SO, I decided it was worth a go as an adult, and man it was worth it. I walked on in, and walked out in 30 minutes with exactly the cut I had asked for! You can pay a lot more for a cut (trust me, I've been to Gene Juarez and Seattle Aveda salons) and get the same results. Great value, great service, and May is lovely so I don't foresee needing to go anywhere else!

I don't ask for alot when I ask for a haircut, I feel like my hair is pretty easy to cut. If they listen to my requests (not too high of a fade, watch out for the mole in the back of my head) and they are friendly, and the price is right, I'll be back. This place did all those things. I can probably get cheaper than $15 in Seattle, but for the convenience of being close to home it's well worth it. The lady was very professional and had a nice fade. During the haircut, she was asking about the snow, if I had been working that day, and Thanksgiving. It's really small things, but it makes the difference between a pleasant experience at the hair salon and just another haircut. I'll be back here when I'm back in town and need a haircut.
