This is my very first salon coloring experience and I was very scared. They could either do an amazing job or screw it up. I didn't want to be one of those customers that threw a tantrum about my hair. Because my hair is pretty much my life. I went in for a consultation and Kari was extremely sweet. She seemed to understand what I wanted so I trusted her and made an appointment. When I went in for my appointment, she got started immediately. She is an extremely friendly and sweet person. I don't think I've ever had such a nice conversation with a hair stylist ever. Long story short, she made my hair look absolutely A-MAZING. My hair feels healthy, comfortable, and the color is exactly how I wanted it to be. Oh, she also gives one killer head massage. It might've been to rub the shampoo in but still, it felt great! I got a balayage and it was $100. I think it was completely worth the money. As an Asian with pretty much virgin black hair, I noticed that while I was there for the 2 hours, I was still the only Asian. I'm not saying they are racist, but, if you are Asian and looking for a good salon, this salon will take care of your dark hair. Trust me. They know what they are doing. Even so, we were able to find a spot pretty easily. I actually found this place through ClassPass, I had extra credits and was really wanting a haircut, so I came across Hair by Lucy in Bellevue. It's located inside a boutique salon, which made the experience feel more personal. I arrived at 9:30 AM, and Lucy was incredibly kind and welcoming. I showed her an inspiration photo and explained that I wanted layers in the back and framing in the front. She listened carefully and immediately understood the look I was going for. She started with a hair wash, and the shampoo and conditioner felt amazing. The salon itself was super clean and well-kept, with plenty of chairs throughout. What I really loved was that Lucy brought me into her own private studio space,almost like a smaller room within the salon. There was extra seating as well, so I was able to bring my mom with me, which made the experience even nicer. Lucy was extremely positive, super talkative, and made the whole appointment feel comfortable and fun.
