Makayla (please excuse me if this isn't the accurate spelling) cut my son's hair and a lot of times I struggle with how my son's hair looks after but she made him look absolutely flawless. They want to track you. I went in here to cut a hair cut and they wanted my telephone number. I said I am not in their system, and when they asked if I been there before, I said No, I visit one in California. They wanted the number I give them there, I said I don't give out my number. They insisted they need a number, so I said no thanks and left to go to a competitor. Bottom line, they want to track when you come to this franchise. The reason I don't give out a number is that on one occasion, a person from this franchise called to solicit money !!!!!! I suggest never to any of these any more. I went in yesterday to get a hair cut and they wanted my phone number. I heard they stopped doing that but that is wrong information. No, I don't give out my number. They insisted so I left. I don't want companies tracking when their customers come in or sending out texts. I'm in here from out of town and it was convenient on 46. I've had an experience in the past with one of these places out West. One of their hair cut ladies called me up on the phone to ask if she could borrow money !!!!!! Amanda the butcher... Amanda this stylist has no chance of working at a high end salon. She is not high end in any way. She spent the entire apt talking about herself and what happened in the salon that day. And obviously didn't pay attention to what I asked for or the shoulder length hair picture I brought in. I asked for a low maintenance hair cut because I had 4 kids and I came out with chin length hair with a bunch of badly lets say CHOPPED layers that I had to go to another salon to get fixed. I am so mad! I even brought a picture and she still screwed it up. I spend more time than I have styling it and it still doesn't look that great and these 3 inch layers are going to take forever to grow out. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Tenise did an amazing job on my bangs...so many stylists have tried and failed to get the look I desire. She bagged it the first time! Props to her! My husband is coming with me the next time and we both will have the blessing of her talent. She is a lovely person too...glad to have her working on me...great vibes definitely make a tremendous difference. I've visited this location twice and had two different stylists. I came away each time with a haircut I liked. I don't remember either stylist's name. My first stylist and cut was great. The second stylist ignored my requests for an asymmetrical chin-length bob and "finished" me up with shoulder-length hair. (I had come in with shoulder-length hair, so I was kind of taken aback. She had razored it a bit, but that was it.) When I reminded her I wanted to go chin-length, she did cut some more and fulfilled most of my request. It was not at all asymmetrical, but it looked fine. I wasn't upset at all or disappointed enough to say anything about it. You do get what you pay for as they say. And I feel I've gotten good haircuts overall for the price. read more

This was my first (and last) visit. I'm a guy who likes the sides and back around a #2 and the top a little longer so I can use product to stand it up and over. The employee and manager were nice enough, then again I did mention to them that it was my first time there so they might've been extra accommodating for that reason. Onto the haircut. I felt very rushed, with little to no attention to detail paid. From start to finish, it took the stylist Sh***a maybe 10 mins!? Later that night, I noticed my sideburns were VASTLY uneven. My left 'burns were 1/4 inch shorter than my right! Like... what? How the heck does that even happen? So I think to myself okay, if she messed up on my sideburns that much what else did she miss? Well, to my expectation, there were several stray strands she failed to get with the buzzer, which I had to trim myself. For those reading, you might not realize this, but stray strands speak volumes about a stylist's attentiveness and effort. The final verdict? Do yourself a favor and go to a real salon or barber shop. Two of the three stylists I've seen here only seem to care out how fast they can finish a client's haircut.They appear to follow what I assumed is Great Clip's guidelines for cutting hair, which is essentially do just the bare minimum to get the current client out and the next one in. I would not recommend them to anyone, which is really a pity because Sh***a actually has some skill but her work environment is putting a damper on that. Sh***a if you're reading this, I really hope you get out of that place and into an actual salon. You seem like a great person and even a novice like myself can tell you have real talent. Until then, someone who doesn't care enough about hair (that isn't theirs) has no business handling mine. read more

If I could score a less star, I would do so. Normally I do not complain however, I went this morning to get a hair cut, and they had 4 customers in waiting. The lady asked me if I had went on line to sign in and I said no, where upon, she stated there would be a 30-35 minute wait, so I sit down and waited for my turn. When it became my turn the stylist took a break, and a gentleman walked in and was asked the same question had he went on line and he said yes, she stated a smart move. Well, when the stylist came back she called his name in front of me. I think common sense should have prevailed, I don't want something for nothing, I just wanted to be treated fairly. I contacted Corporate and we will see where this goes!! Note: I have been here several times for a cut costing 12 or 14 dollars and have always left a 20 dollar bill on the counter.
