My daughter…read moreMakayla, my son's girlfriend Madi, and I all booked one-hour massages on July 20th, and we were very impressed. The spa itself is beautiful, relaxing, and very well maintained. Ashley did my massage and was wonderful. Chloe took care of Makayla, and Jerrica did Madi's massage. All three of us agreed that our massages were excellent, and we would absolutely recommend each of them. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five was an issue with the complimentary sauna. When we scheduled our appointments, and again when we arrived, we were specifically told we could use the sauna after our massages. We were really looking forward to relaxing there together afterward, but when we finished, we discovered it had already been shut down. We were told the manager had turned it off so the spa could close about an hour early. That was disappointing, especially since we had confirmed twice that we would be able to use it after our appointments. Aside from that, we had a wonderful experience. The spa was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxing, and Ashley, Chloe, and Jerrica were all fantastic. We would definitely return for massages if we're back in Dickson!

The next day I had a large chip in one nail the second day another chip. Before the week was up I had a total of 2 chips on my nails and 2 toenails. Yes it's a very nice salon. **Editing to add that the technicians name was Emily**…read more I am not usually one to leave reviews, but my experience at Illusion Nail Spa was so appalling that I feel obligated to warn future guests. I went in for a builder gel removal and since they did not have someone available yet, instead of having me wait in the lobby, they had me sit in an open chair and soak my fingers in acetone, which did nothing but make my fingers dry out since my color hadn't been drilled off yet. When a station opened up, they moved me to a spot that hadn't been cleaned, setting my personal belongings directly onto the previous client's used towel. Panicking to move my things off the dirty towel, I accidentally dropped my phone into the bowl of acetone. Now, for the actual removal of my builder gel. Instead of properly drilling and soaking off the gel, the technician wedged a plastic acrylic nail under the builder gel to pry and pop it off. Because my nails were so well-done initially (somewhere else), there were no gaps to wedge the tip into. So, without my consent, she cut my nails as short as possible to force the plastic nail underneath. This aggressive prying ripped off the top layer of my natural nails, leaving them paper-thin, damaged, and incredibly sore. I go out of my way to go to salons for removal to AVOID ripping my nails off myself and damaging them. I paid $20 to have my natural nails completely destroyed and my phone case ruined, all while being rushed between clients on an unsterilized station.

Update: I ended up calling and getting in to get my cut fixed. It was uneven (a full inch longer on…read moreone side) and ended up missing a large chunk out of the back. The previous stylist obviously did not know what she was going. Leila was amazing, talked through what she was doing and did her best to fix it. Obviously she couldn't make the chunks grow back but she did her best to minimize the missing hair. I left much happier and booked a follow up specifically with her. Ok cut, not great though, and good brow wax but not a great experience. The stylist I saw refused to face me to the mirror. Every time I tried to turn towards the mirror she turned me to the wall. If I'd been seeing her for years that may have been ok but not ok for a first visit. She also told me to turn my head versus using the chair or moving herself. I get looking down but I've never had someone have me turn my head left to right. Not sure I'll be back :(

Caitlin was so kind and friendly, which made the entire experience wonderful. She took her time and delivered quality work-something l've found lacking in other places where services felt rushed. After a long week, this was exactly what I needed. For anyone looking for excellent service and beautiful results, I highly recommend Caitlin at Evoke. The salon also has a great vibe!
