I've been going here for the past year and a half after the girl I went to chose to change workplaces and moved to Worthington. Reilly was wonderful and did a great job with my haircut, she listened to what I wanted and she gave me a great haircut. I got lots of compliments on it. My only complaint was even tho I checked in online I waited an extremely long time, while my husband sat waiting with me so we could go on to do our shopping.
The next time I went in to get my haircut I had some guy who I guess was the manager (I could hear the other stylists talking about him when he went in the back room). Again, I waited an excessively long time (that's what the stylists were talking about), and I had checked in online and there weren't that many ppl waiting. He did do an awesome, relaxing shampoo but that was as far as it went! Apparently he couldn't follow the previous cut because it didn't look anything like it was supposed to.
The 3rd time I just went for a cut hoping to get it back to the way Reilly had done it. This older lady pulled my card and apparently she couldn't follow the cut either because the next thing I know she's hacking at my hair with a razor blade! I thought ok maybe she just had a different way of getting to the same style. I ended up going home and crying because my hair was just jacked and hacked!
I had to wait for that mess to grow back out before I could try to get it fixed (other salons in Delaware think they are in the big cities because the prices they charge are outrageous), which took almost 3 months. When I went in I had checked in online and I did specifically say I didn't want that old woman touching my hair and proceeded to wait and wait. During this haircut I learned I could ask for a specific person and was describing Reilly who turned around and said that's me. Third haircut wasn't too bad, but again did not equal the original Reilly haircut.
I was happy and content because now Reilly was the one doing my cuts. Then March of this yr Reilly told me she was moving to NJ. I was heartbroken. She did tell me 2 ppl she thought could do a good job, (one girl was stylist #3),!so I thought ok I'll give this other girl a chance.
She did a nice job the next time I went in for a cut which happened to be 2 days before my son's wedding, not Reilly but again ok. Then I went in yesterday, Aug '19, I hadn't checked in online but there weren't that many ppl waiting. I was told it wouldn't be a long wait by the older lady when I told her I would wait for Amanda. I sat there and sat there. While ppl after me were getting their cuts. At one point after this last man sitting went with Amanda to get his cut done, I told her I'd be right out side and she looked a little lost but said ok. While I was outside a lady and 2 kids went in and also another gentleman. We were sitting there waiting and the older lady who was not cutting anybody's hair and was just cleaning the desk area and a third girl (they had taken their breaks), looked at me and said "have you been helped, did you check in online?" I looked at her and said you checked me in! By this time I had been sitting there for 50 minutes. The ppl who came in after me were called and I got up left while saying a few choice words under my breath! I will never go back there again!
I guess I'm going to have pay a ton of money for an every 6 wk trim!! read more
