Everyone seemed to be booked for the day and then I walk in here and found I'd be next in line after the lady currently getting her hair cut. When it was my turn, I got my hair shampooed and conditioned before the cut. She asked if I had a picture of what I wanted, and I didn't but tried to explain. She pulled it a picture book and pointed at a hair style and I said yes. At first, the lady scared the life out of me when she started cutting so much hair off. I almost cried. I just needed a trim at the back and here she was cutting inches. I could feel so much of my hair being butchered off my head. I have a lot of hair, and pretty thick at that. I was preparing myself to be disappointed and pretty irked, and bough I couldn't find my voice to speak up. I just watched and felt. And then I started seeing her near-finished result and the fear instantaneously lifted. I liked,no, loved what I was seeing at the corner of my eyes. It was exactly the hairstyle I had wanted long before I got the first cut to shape my hair into an A-frame cut. The shock of getting inches of hair cut off dissipated and I couldn't help but smile and laugh at my absurdity. I love the end result!

This time it really paid off. From the moment I opened the door, it was evident that Genesis was much more than an average salon. The lobby is beautifully decorated and comfortable. I was greeted immediately by the person who was to perform my service (Obi is awesomeness personified), and led to another immaculately furnished and decorated area.
