Absolutely butchered my boyfriends haircut so he had to go to a different barber shop asked for a taper with taking just a small bit off the top to just make it so the top doesnt hang in his eyes so much and their solution "come back in so we can fix it" why would anyone trust a place that gave the worst service and plus they already made the only solution to go significantly shorter. Its not a salon school you are professionals who graduated, got licensing and should at least be able to not make the back of someones head look like lord farquad and just go around with a 2" guard and not do any part of the taper the entire back of the head almost to the tip top of the back just an inch away from the center of his head was shaved with the 2" guard there was a wobbly shape to the back of his neck no fading done no shaping around the ears the only thing done to the top was using thinning shears to the bang area and it was most definitely not even. read more

Broke my knee cap. Cannot shampoo, dry my hair. I have very thick, dense, curly hair. Decided to go to the nearest Great Clips. Called ahead for cost to shampoo, dry/ straighten my hair. Was quoted $35. Arrived. Was called back by a guy who took me to the shampoo area. After wetting my hair and applying shampoo, he walked away, came back and asked if I was getting a "style". I didn't know what that meant, so I explained that I needed a shampoo, dry, straighten. He walked away again, and came back to tell me that he doesn't do "style". That the "two ladies do that". I said, umm...okay, I'm cool with waiting with wet hair until one of them is available. He sort of cleansed my scalp/hair, sort of rinsed rinsed the shampoo out of my hair and sent me off to wait for one of the two ladies. I felt my hair. It still seemed to have shampoo in it. One of the "ladies" finished her prior client, was sweet to provide a way to prop my broken leg up. I explained my situation. I had my own hair straighten product with me. She sort of sprayed a little on my hair. She commented OFTEN while drying my hair, " You have a lot of hair" , as in it was quite the task to dry my hair. When I left , my hair was frizzy, there were "waves" along the hair where it wasn't straightned. The underlying hair was curly, wasn't straightned at all. I was chared $43, not $35. I came home, and spent 30 minutes propped up on crutches, straightening it myself. read more

My hair was coming back after chemo, I showed Debbie the pictures of my hair style. And this is what she did to my hair! I'm a tough girl, don't talk about medical issues and I'm not one to cry in public. But I was hysterical! I didn't let her finish! I'm horrified!!!!!!!!!!! You can now see my bald spots! I have been using this shop for several years and don't know why I haven't reviewed before now. So here goes. One of the stylists gave me a great tip last year - register on line and it keeps you from having to wait. That's a big deal, as with little competition in the area, you could have an hour or longer wait. Since I have been using the on line registration, my waits have been minimal. So what kind of haircut do you get here? That's the problem with this place. I have had awesome visits here, and I have had some where my wife wanted me to go back and get my money back, because they did such a poor job. This is the only place, in my entire life, where they have tried to cut my ear off when giving a haircut (and they charged me full price). My favorite stylist was a little old Hispanic lady. She did a great job, and was a great person to talk with. However, she left to have surgery and I have only seen her a couple of times since. All of the haircuts that I got from her were awesome. There have been others that were good, and Kathleen, who did my last appointment was very good. Hopefully she will stay, but turnover seems to be a very big issue. The hours that they are open is great for folks that have to work. Those long hours may be why they have such high turnover. All in all, if you get the right stylist, you will be very happy with your results. read more

My husband has been taking my boys here for the last few cuts.. this time my 13 year old boy, who is EXTREMELY laidback, and definitely never has tears when he is upset.. called me very upset! Not only did his hairdresser Tina, not listen to a single thing he asked for, and didn't go by what his last cut was, and left the front of his hair SO UNEVEN, it's not even funny, she was also very defensive, argumentative with my husband, and then lied to my husband about what my son asked for! Extremely rude! My husband and 13 year old are some of the most calm, non confrontational people you will ever meet, so there was NO SENSE IN THIS AT ALL! Should NOT BE A HAIRDRESSER! My husband and 6 year old had no complaints on other people. Just this one lady was awful! read more

I tripped in to this Great Clips location a month ago after stopping by Starbucks and noticing a "Walk in now" sign out front. Upon entering, I noticed there were five stylists and no clients. Odd. The one who approached me introduced herself as Shana, led me to her station, and proceeded to display a mastery of digital follicular manipulation that was impressive and alarming at the same time. Afterwards, she applied a dab of Toni & Guy Manipulator and roughed up my 'do so that I'd have the appearance of a psychotic time traveler --- perfect! Shana made me aware of a special annual program that allows the pre-purchase of unlimited cuts for $9.99 each. I bought ten. Overall, Great Clips is what it is --- a quick, no frills salon. What makes this one special is Shana...and her sidekick, Chase, the sparky redhead immediately to the right. These ladies are fast and talented. For people who squeeze as much as I do into every day, the need for speed in service is absolutely essential. Quality isn't compromised with Shana, so stop by, let her show your pate a thrill, and become a better person because of the experience. I feel bad that I'm rating the entire company as one star all because of one person... Yep, it's Debbie. She was horrible!!! Not only did I ask her to fix my sons hair TWICE and was still unable to do a decent job BUT she butchered my daughters hair. My three year old literally left asking "why did that lady make me look like a boy, mommy?". There were no words that I could say to make her feel better and it breaks my heart. Before my daughter was out of the chair, I approached Debbie and expressed the fact that I didn't like the haircut. Debbie then said "well, you're still going to have to pay for the haircut". What Debbie didn't realize is that I wasn't concerned about the money that would be paying for the crappy haircut, I was hoping that she could fix it up a little. If I would have known that Debbie would have done such a crappy job then I would have sat my daughter at my kitchen table and told my 5 year old to go to work on it. Bottom line, she was so disrespectful, aggressive with her words and never once took responsibility for what she did and apologized. THAT WOULD HAVE MADE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE, Debbie!! With all that being said, I do want to take the time to express my gratitude for the other lady working. She stepped up and did the best she could to fix my daughters hair and my sons after Debbie three in the towel and gave up. read more

Seen 5 bad reviews on this particular person "Debbie" at this establishment Great Clips and heres another one too add. Was growing my hair out and wanted my hair styled next thing you know half your hair is gone, some uncut hair in the back with a giant rooster that know matter what sticks up. Take a little off the top equals lop 3 inches of hair? Besides that she was physically hurting me with the clippers when attempting to fade my hair, never had this experience before. There are others at that location that can cut hair, but avoid this person if you can and if you value your hair. read more

The stylist messed up my hair. I had long beautiful hair and all I asked for was my dead ends trimmed off. I get home- realize she chopped off five inches PLUS did it UNEVENLY. My hair is literally AT AN ANGLE!! Never use them. They're horrendous and terrible and ruin whoever style you had. read more

Very friendly stylists. however I asked for a trim and was left with an uneven haircut. One side is at least an inch longer than the other and you can see from the back that it slants to the side. Felt like it was bit rushed as there were other people waiting. read more

I went there when they first opened to get a haircut, the manager wanted to give me a cut, i told her I wanted one of the other girls to it my hair, she said to me , Is it because I am a Mexican, i left there. Recently i went to there and started to get a hair cut from this salon person, the manager (same one) came over and pushed the girl away. I stopped her and ask what she was doing. The girl was not going fast enough for her. I liked the girl cause she was trying to do it right. , not much of a manager and arrogant, better places than this place, manager wise. read more

The stylists are awesome. The owner/manager that is there is a terrible representative of this shop. Just talking to her, the way she communicates makes me feel like I'm putting her out, as if I'm doing her a favor by getting a haircut there. A stylist named Christina told me halfway through my haircut that customers "shouldn't expect a great haircut for these prices." I wanted to stop the cut right there and switch stylists! Ironic that she'd say that seeing as how the business is called "Great Clips." She was condescending and rude. And to be expected, I got a rushed haircut with amateur blending at best, I just fixed it myself at home. When the stylist says things like this, it reflect horribly on the business. The young lady decided to call that person's name knowing that my name had been checked in prior to him. I called the next day to bring it to manager's attention and could tell it fell on deaf ears. Today (12/02/2015) I went into to this location for a haircut. The first of November I had a haircut there and the girl that cut my hair said, they were going to give Veterans free haircuts from sometime in November to December sometime. She said to bring proof of being a Veteran. I did. When it came time to show them my VA card, they said no that is not the card they wanted. They wanted some special card they were giving out that I obviously did not get. So, I had to pay for my haircut, with a $2.00 discount, WOW !!!!!!! The owner stood by and said nothing. Thanks for your service, sorry you missed out, too bad, nothing. Evidently I was told wrong info in November. Anyway, I will not be back in there and after I tell my friends, they won't either.
