She tried telling me i described the haircut wrong. I told her I wanted the sides and top trimmed and she began trimming the back. DO NOT go here you will waste money. I used Great Clips in Broadview Hghts OH to get the bangs cut of my toddler girl (less than 30 secs work), and the bangs cut and 1 inch cut of my 5-yr old girl (less than 5 mins work) on Sept 10, 2022. When I went to pay for this - $23 total - I ran my credit card and included $5 tip for each hairdresser (2 women), for a total of $33. For some reason, the woman told me it did not go through. I went to grab my phone from my toddler girl to show hee from my paypal app showing that it DID go through but only for $29.99. In those 5 seconds of grabbing my phone, she proceeded to tell me that she cancelled my entire transation instead. Well she made me refresh my screen numerous times over the next 10 mins telling me that it will not show anymore in paypal, if I refreshed it. The transaction never cancelled on my end. So I told her that before I run my card a 2nd time, that I would be calling paypal. I call PP and they tell me that No, that $29.99 has NOT been cancelled or pending cancelled at all. So Paypal live refunded me that entire alt by phone. So I told the hairdresser at GC that it was all refunded live. I ran my card a 2nd time but for $33, giving each woman a $5 tip. Flash forward to the next morning. I wake up and GC had charged my card that $29.99 IN addition to the $33. After many calls to them and showing up in person that same day to tell and show them, the regional manager called me to tell me that the $29.99 would be refunded to me by Friday Sept 16. Today, it is now 6pm on 9-16-22, and BOTH transactions are STILL there. I paid $62.99 for 2 little ones haircuts!!! PAY CASH ONLY or go somewhere else!!! Paypal declined the 2nd transaction dispute, telling me that they need the business to write PP a letter first approving the return of the 2nd transaction. read more

I have been going to this great clips forever. I've never once had a problem w anyone on the staff and felt it was always a great place to get my haircut. When I went today this lady Georgette was totally rude and extremely disrespectful. I was astonished and confused that she was actually saying the words she was saying. She stayes cutting my hair then mid cut says that she can't cut my hair because she can't get a brush through it. Another man said he would cut my hair and what do you know, hes able to do everything and there were 0 issues. The place is great just DO NOT get your hair cut by Georgette. Not too sure if she had just had a bad day and decided to take it out on me or she is terrible at her job and lazy as hell. read more

Although there was only one (terrible) review, we were stuck needing cuts on a Sunday. Debra and Leah did a great job on my boys, and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend using their online check-in system though, as wait times were kind of high. read more

Horrible experience with my teenage son here. The female hairdresser took him back to the chair to cut his hair and my son and I both expressed how we wanted his hair trimmed. She seemed quite annoyed with me saying anything. She spent about 3 minutes butchering my son's hair. He got up and I could immediately tell how disappointed and self-conscious he was of his horrible hair cut (picture Jim Carey from Dumb & Dumber). I expressed that we both didn't like his cut, asked if she could maybe trim it a little differently after my son and I briefly discussed our dissatisfaction. In the mean time, she was spewing profanities about us to her colleague. She then just told us to get out. I offered to pay but she yelled at us to leave and not to come back. Recent Haircut I've been going to this location for a while and have always had a decent cut. But recently, I had a haircut from Ingrid. It was the first time I've had her to do my cut. It was possibly the worst haircut I've ever had. Her scissor skills leave much to be desired. Uneven all over. Back was really messed up. It's hard to tell when your're sitting in the chair. But I will never let her cut my hair again. When I complained to corporate, they referred me back to the local franchise and supposedly forwarded my complaint. Never heard from them. I posted this on fb and google, but felt the need to reiterate it on here too, something I forgot to mention on Facebook, the wait times here are super manageable, I've never waited longer than 10/15 minutes, but anyway: I cannot say enough great things about this location. The staff is all super friendly and attentive and for what you're paying, you can't get any better! As far as actual employees go, I can only really speak about one, Adrienne. She is incredible, she knows what I want better than I do and never disappoints, she also gives crucial advice on hair health. The service she provides is unrivaled and honestly, people think I spent like $50 on my haircut when I leave. She is so great that she is the ONLY person I trust with my hair now and I have exclusively been going to her for years. As a college student (at Miami University) whenever I need a haircut, I call great clips to ask when she works next and I make the 4-hour drive because that's how incredible she is. I have even converted my sister and mom. She is so personable, remembers our past convos, recognizes my face (and knows when she sees me that I'm "her client"), and brings them up, and is altogether a joy. Adrienne, if you see this, please never leave great clips, because wherever you go, I'm going to have to follow!! As for anyone else looking at this review, you better not start crazily booking her up too much, I still need to see her too (kidding, but seriously). Never did I think I would be saying that a Great Clips employee has made such a lasting impact, but she really has, she has given me confidence about my hair and I can't help but rave about her. My friends often spend 3-4 times as much on their haircuts as I do and I proudly say that I go to great clips (but I specify that this is the only location I go to, I have had mediocre experiences at other ones) and that they should really give it a try. Again, while I can only speak on Adrienne, the entire staff is so nice and they really provide that "salon-style banter" that makes the experience even better! My experience with Adrienne makes me believe that whoever is hiring these stylists has extremely high standards and harps on the importance of customer service, whoever it is, thank you for setting the bar so high and creating a new standard (and please never, ever let Adrienne go)!! read more

Great Clips - You leave with a mutilated head and a shitty haircut - Hair Salons Near Me - Broadview Heights, Ohio

My son checked in online. It said 15 minutes. We were there within 15. 2 stylists were there. The one seemed flustered. The other finished her client telling the other stylist she may run to Ulta. She calls my son to the chair 25 minutes after we got there. Then the other stylist told her she needed help. So she left him there and went to help her. That was another 20 minutes. In the interim 4 other people came in one that checked in on line and all were told 20 minutes. It took her another 200 minutes on my sons hair. The other stylist went in the back and didn't come back out. When I checked out I had a 5.00$ off coupon that was emailed from Great Clips. The stylist said the owner doesn't take printed coupons from computers. I told her that the sign says printed competitors coupons not Great Clips. I was extremely hesitant at first but decided to come in. She worked wonders and fixed my choppy blunt haircut. The general manager also emailed me to apologize. Thank you so much Brittany!!! I visited this great clips today. What a mistake. My hair was one of my better features and my appearance is important to me professionally. I sat down and I asked the stylist for a harvard, I also advised it was very similar to an ivy league or a princeton style cut and that any of these three would be acceptable, The "stylist" knew none of these styles even though they are all very common. I should have stopped there gotten up and asked for someone else but I did not want to be rude. So I then asked to see the length of the razor for a 1, 2, or 3. She was very pleasant and showed me the length. I advised 2 on sides and a 3 on top and to thin it out with scissors. She seemed to know what I wanted so she started to cut. I left with a very short buzz cut that was done in the same length all the way around except for one area which is even shorter than the rest as she must have pressed down harder there. You can see the skin of my scalp all around and the cut is horrible. It is completely unacceptable. The manager was responsive to a phone call and nice but the owner failed to return my call. This was a very disappointing experience and now I not only need to live with a horrible haircut but I also have to present myself with it for several months while the hair grows back enough to be longer on the top than the sides. This is harmful to my professional appearance and could impair my business. Thank God my hair grows fast so it should only be three or four months until my hair grows back to what it should have looked like today. I would not recommend this location for service and I would not recommend expecting to hear back from the owner as it has now been three hours and still no return call. However, the stylist was pleasant even though the cut was bad and the manager on duty was responsive and nice to deal with. I would not recommend this business if you care about either your appearance or dealing with a responsive owner. Do not go there. read more
