I've been coming to this location of Great Clips for about a year now. I usually don't have the same stylist, yet have consistently gotten a good cut. All the stylists are friendly and well trained. They have a simple on-line reservation system which will help ensure you aren't waiting at the store unnecessarily. It even predicts when you'll be up so you can head to the store while shopping or relaxing elsewhere. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes once it says I'm next in line. I can't say enough about the Great Clips staff at the Center Sq/Bluebell location. I most often have Nicole fo my hair and she is so caring and patient as I'm very persnickity. She convinced me in the best way to finally get rid of those frizzy ends and I received so many compliments. Fran and Jocelyn are also outstanding stylist!!! How they even managed to pass the boards is beyond me. the blond with the half mullet smacked her gum unceasingly and sprayed leave-in conditioner directly in my eyes. Now I am not picky. I've been a Great Clips customer for over 4 years, and have always had good customer service. I just recently moved to PA from Minneapolis, and needed to find another GC since I'm in desperate need of a hair cut. Since I've seeing my last stylist for over 4 years I know she has made notes on my account regarding my hair cuts, and how she does them. I asked politely if these store was connected to the other GC's, and if they could pull up my notes... yes, was the reply. when they entered my phone number they said there were no notes... I then asked politely if they could call my GC's in Minneapolis (I looked up their phone number for them via my phone) and was told they couldn't contact another salon... Never have I ever gotten a haircut from this location and went home disappointed or upset. All of the stylists are aware of what the customer wants, and are very sociable when it comes to cutting hair. While this is not a Spa or upscale hair salon, it does a fine job for being a low-budget hair cuttery and it is always a safe bet (for guys at least). read more

I go in specifically asking to keep my hair long on the sides and on the top, and I even asked to do it longer than last time. I tell the lady to only use the clippers and she says ok, but then takes the buzzer out and starts buzzing the back and sides of my hair. She completely botched it! I asked to keep it long, she did what she wanted and made it short. The last time I went there though, I got exactly what I wanted so why was it different this time? Overall, I asked for my hair to be long and it's so short I look like I'm in the military. Very disappointed and confused to what "keep it long" actually means in some people's minds. Horrible haircut for my last experience and will not be returning for any future cuts. I asked for a 3 on the sides and scissors on top. The lady who made me nervous just by the way she was acting proceeded to take the clippers to my entire head INCLUDING THE TOP. She was sporadic with them and felt like it was her first time using them. Not only that she handled the scissors on top like she was cutting a plant. Only using 1 had to trim it up no comb nothing. Needless to say she cut it waaaay to short on both the sides and top and the haircut itself looked like I was sheared. She also took a GLOB of hair paste and coated my head in it to the point that it was still visable when I was done. NEVER AGAIN! Also the stylist was very ackward, had her bra showing partially and just seemed very unsure of even herself. Made a point to point out the tip location on my receipt which made me feel awkward as I was not going to leave one due to the horrible job she did. read more

I come here every 4 weeks to get my haircut. The stylists are always friendly, inviting, and great with remembering you! Every conversation we have seems to continue off of a previous visit. I've been coming here for two years since the ladies at Shear Waves didn't want to cut my hair the way I asked. Kiera is AMAZING! I only trust her with my hair...ever! I went to Great clips the other day for a trim. I have stopped in before and it was spur of the moment decision the other day. I had gotten the stylist Jen (as I have in the past) and I am so glad I did. She gave me a great cut and was so kind and professional. I always assumed she was the manager. Would give 0 stars if I could. Great Clips gives the worst hair cuts ever. I'm done with this place, but, historically, I get a bad hair 9 out of 10 times. I get the same horrible results at the Blue Bell location too. Their hair cutters are, on average, the least talented people I've ever had (once in awhile you can get lucky can find a good one, but turnover is so high that's it's rare you'll ever get them again...the good usually move on to better salons). And they don't listen to what you ask, which makes things so much worse. They just go ahead and give the same haircut regardless of who you are (i.e. male, female, child). Can't wait for my hair to grow out to disguise this disgusting hair cut. On the pic attached, you can see its uneven, shorter on the sides, longer on top, and even has missing spots where a huge chunk of hair was cut out for some reason. The worst most uncomfortable experience I've ever had in a hair salon and even with how sub par the hair cut was, that wasn't even the worst part. I do not remember the name of my stylist but here's what happened: First of all, and I need you to believe because I am not exaggerating at all.. during the maybe 20 minutes I was sitting in the chair, she did not take a pause from talking for more than 15 seconds at a time. Now usually this wouldn't bother me, some people have a lot to say and I'm not much of a talker so this experience just meant that I wouldn't have to respond because she didn't stop. However, because of how much she talked she went on an ABSURD amount of insanely inappropriate ramblings and tirades. I do not mean that she picked maybe 2 different topics and ran with it. No, if I had to make a best approximation it was AT LEAST like 8 different topics. All but maybe two were incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. I'll make a list of a few things she discussed below -talking about her family which, again, is no problem. People love talking about their families and some people may love listening to you talk about your family. It started off nicely saying her niece and nephew come talk to her about anything and how much she loved them, but then it took a sharp turn REAL quick. There's a fine line between discussing the goings on of your family and telling your client how much of a "smut her niece is" (DIRECT QUOTE, btw. That terminology literally came out of her mouth) and how her nephew is now into girls and is just going around trying to hook up with people -this one sounds a bit nitpicky when trying to explain it but trust me when I say i don't think you'd be able to really get my annoyance with this unless you were there to witness it but literally YELLING about a football game. Not just you know a quick cheer... she was full on yelling. All power to you to discuss whatever you please (within reason) but the screaming was a bit much. It took me back to thanksgiving with my Italian relatives... which is always fun... until the excessive yelling gives you a migraine. -a baby came in for a haircut... naturally he or she was crying which can be annoying I agree although I find it inappropriate and disrespectful for someone working as a hairstylist KNOWING most babies tend to cry getting a haircut and then responding with "oh my god shut up. That shit is so annoying." -how shitty her love life was... 2 minutes before saying she has a fiancé. That one wasn't as inappropriate as the others it just confused the hell out of me. There was a lot more. By the time she finished my hair she asked if I liked it or wanted to change anything... I was not satisfied with the cut but I did not want to spend one more second in that chair. I went to another salon immediately after which was a significantly more enjoyable experience. read more

Dont even wasteyour time with this place. It is a piece of crap. I went there after work to get my haircut, and there were no customers (I wonder why). There were 3 "stylists" there, and I still had to wait 5 minutes. As I am getting my haircut, the employee complained about her job for 5 minutes. She wasn't friendly at all. She gave me #5 on the sides and only went over my head once. I still have long hair sticking out bc she didn't go over again. On top of that, she barely took any length of the top. I asked her to take more off the top and and reluctantly did. My haircut looks terrible and this was a horrible experience. DO NOT GET A HAIRCUT from GREAT CLIPS in BLUE BELL. Employees are terrible, unhappy, miserable people. GO to MIKE DEVLIN across the street where Rita's water ice is located. They will treat you better and give a much better haircut. read more
