We were coming back from a medical appointment and stopped in because my son has been coming here and likes the people. We were greeted warmly. The person said we may have people ahead of us and that if those people did not show, we would be taken soon. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. You can see regulars stopping in to get cuts from the 3 women working today. My husband got a great haircut from Mapy and sat down. I waited for a few prior check-ins and soon enough I was in the chair. Mapy listened to what I like and she delivered. Having moved here 15 months ago, we did not have a regular place though we do still love the students at Elite Cosmetology in Shops of Palm Desert Mall. Because we had other commitments and we are across town in Bermuda Dunes, this worked out perfectly! I can rustle my short fluffy do, or use a curling iron. Imelda is an amazing hairstylist. She takes care of my hair for couple of years now. She has better personality than any other stylist.

NOT a great clip. I got the worst haircut I have ever gotten from this place. The guy took about 45 minutes with my hair, I could tell he had no idea what he was doing, he even had to call another hairstylist over after he messed up to try to fix it. I couldn't believe how bad it looked when I left, it was even worse than I thought. All I wanted was a simple men's haircut. I received the worst haircut (if you could call it that) EVER! I will never give them my business again. She did everything I didn't ask for, I asked for a taper in back, she box cut it so high in the back, it will take 2 months to grow to the length I had it at. My sideburns were uneven, she took way to much off the top, which I can't afford to lose. I knew I was in trouble when she took her first clip and said "this looks great!", she had me sit in the first chair on the right as you walk in, forgot her name, won't forget what she did to me. ON Nov 24 I dropped by this Great Clips location at 4:05 to get a hair trim. The sign on door said they were closing at 6:00. The operator in the station closest to door shouted at me that they were not taking any more customers. There were 4 people in the seating area and two people in chairs being worked on when I went in. The checkin site indicated I had a 40 minute wait and my name on their computer screen showed me at top of list of 5 names that had been scheduled via checkin. Seeing as how they only had 4 clients in the waiting area I guessed that with two Full hours til closing they could likely get to a straightforward haircut with no blowout. I observed while waiting there that there were no perm or coloring services needed by the four people who were seated when I had arrived. At 5:00 the stylist who had barked at me on arrival announced she was going to lunch, trounced out the door and returned about 1/2 hour later to hang out in back of salon doing nothing I could see. The other stylist took 45 minutes to blow dry the very last clients hair. The two of them turned away more than a half dozen walk-in customers after 4:00 when I was in the seating area up front. Some of them protested because they had also signed up on the checkin. The checkin system on Great Clips site is completely useless and it was disconcerting to see people like me so curtly treated by the operators there. Oh and while I sat there for two hours they wouldn't answer the few phone calls. So there was no hope for anyone to call directly to see if they could come in. I will try another Great Clips location to see if the staff actually honors the hours posted and whether the website checkin is functional at all. A totally disappointing experience. read more

I came here for the 1st time using the online check-in. Online told me it would take about 17 min and when I got here in about 10 min, I was the 1st person on the list. So that was nice. Terrible. The girls have no personality and look like they are miserable. Not friendly at all. They also did two HORRIBLE jobs on my boys hair cuts. I had to walk back in a week later after vacation and tell them to "fix it". How do you mess up a "summer" boys hair cut? When I did go back in, the girl who fixed it was someone else. This is the only place I get my haircut, only person I trust to cut my hair is Brooke. She's a great stylist & always makes me feel welcome when I'm there. She knows exactly how I like my hair cut, I've been going there & having her cut my hair for so long now that when I sit down she asks me "The usual or you wanna try something different today?" I always get the usual & never need to tell her what to do. She great, she knows how to treat customers & I've seen her cut children's hair when the child is scared & Brooke has akways been able to calm the child down & reassure the parents as well. I was in a bind as my regular barber of 4 years moved away and was in need of a new hair person, thank goodness I went to the right place! I am very particular about how I want my hair cut and styled, so when I find a great person I will stick with them for years! The environment is calm and the staff is so friendly and hold great conversations. I got my hair cut by the young lady named Valerie. She was simply put phenomenal! Worst place ever!! Their customer service is awful, they do not care for their clients. I have taken my son their for the last time. I've gone their three times with different people each time and he has always ended up with a butchered hair cut. The last person I had (woman with red hair), was in such a hurry she even made a comment about my son moving around and how he was her last client of the day insinuating he was making her late or something.
