Not only is she professional, great colorist, always on time, leaves my hair so healthy after each visit; she is a great person, great listener and compassionate. I had a hair stylist I loved, but over the course of several years, my color had drifted from what I like and we were having a hard time getting on the same page. It was time for a change, so I did my research on good old Yelp, and in so doing I found Kellye. Her Yelp info and her website were impressive, but I still felt like I needed input from one of my BFFs who is a stylist (but not local). The feedback I got from my BFF was great, and I gave Kellye a try by first booking a Brazilian Blowout. I am so glad I did! I arrived at her very stylish studio salon and was immediately impressed by how warm Kellye is and what a great memory she has - she recalled everything we discussed when I'd booked the appointment. The blowout was outstanding, so I made an appointment for a full color about 10 days later (I was lucky to get in so quickly - she had a cancellation!). I have a lot of hair and Kellye did not cut any corners with my full highlight and I left feeling like the blonde I think I am meant to be!! I enjoyed getting to know Kellye during my two appointments and I think this is going to be a great fit for me long-term. There aren't enough words to express how amazing Kellye is. She's skilled, responsive, friendly, and really puts her clients first. I emailed Kellye one evening when my beloved little sister called me in a panic because she got a little adventurous with some drug store bleach and made a mess of her hair. Kellye responded to my message right away, looked at photos of the damage, and determined she could squeeze my little sis in for a consultation..within days of reopening her salon after being closed for Covid-19! She was able to return my sister's hair back to her natural, healthy state, and even add a few fun highlights, (which was what my sister was trying to do initially.) I live on the other side of the country, and Kellye was so wonderful in coordinating information and payment with me. (She even sent me a video of my sister's hair when it was done!) I needed an amazing hairdresser, and after researching and researching of hairdressers around the area I'm so happy that I found Kellye! She is extremely knowledgeable about the up to date trends, how to cut, color and style hair PERFECTLY! She gave me pointers on things to do at home to keep my hair at its healthiest and what products to keep my hair from fading. Not to mention, she is extremely friendly and accommodating and makes it feel like you're getting your hair done by a friend. I'm just so happy that I found a hairdresser that is super cool like her. Kellye did an outstanding job on my hair. I had previously lightened my dark brown hair to a blonder shade many years ago using a bleaching kit with good results and wanted to do it again. Well, this time it came out completely brassy/orange and messed up. I wasn't willing to try another lightening process on my own and risk further damage, so I checked around on yelp and found Kellye. Long story short, Kellye is super sweet and knows what she is doing. I was a bit nervous going into this but I trusted her judgment and my hair came out looking insanely great. I was so pleased with my hair and then I went home and my husband immediately noticed and complimented the coloring. It has been a few months now and still looks great. I was conveniently able to book an appointment on her website. I was warmly greeted by Kellye, right at my appointment time. I left his studio feeling small and ugly. I was recommended to Kellye's old studio by a coworker and I am so relieved to have finally found a fantastic stylist out here! Kellye has cut my hair twice and I have been 100% satisfied with both experiences. In fact, my boyfriend said my current haircut, which she just did, is his favorite haircut he's ever seen on me. I had been looking for a new stylist and didn't want to go the route of just asking friends so I turned to Yelp as I often do. I found some great reviews for Kellye, and the one that stood out was a gal who said after 2 haircuts her boyfriend said both were his favorite cuts of hers ever. i am always looking for consistency so that was key. My first impression of Kellye was great - she works out of a terrific spot, not the crowded noisy or dated unkempt sort of places you see a lot of here in the desert. It was a very calming environment and you really do feel like you are in your own sanctuary. As for the cut it's one of the best I've ever had! I have the kind of hair a lot of stylists find challenging because though the texture is fine, I have tons of hair and the tendency is to cut too much or too little. Also my best cuts have come from people taking their time to do it right. I find that a great haircut for me usually takes at least an hour - and Kellye spent over an hour on my hair. The results show and are amazing! It's really obvious she loves what she does and has a real passion for making hair look great. She's a true artist!
