This place is better than top golf , they have power tees so you can make swings quick and efficiently and a sick pro shop. Good prices too

We enjoyed our time playing mini golf. There were just a few groups ahead of us and it was never a problem waiting. Bring your big spray as there are surrounding wooded areas and standing water. We had a great experience with staff and the person waited until we were finished as we closed the place down. Looking forward to trying golf range. read more

I used to think this was a good local business and had used the driving range many times over the years. Came in today to see if I could get a better price on a used Taylormade 3 wood marked at $75. I had seen the same club online for $35 to $60. "Conner" the club salesman said this was a new club and worth $75. Wouldn't budge on price, even $5. I went out to my car and googled the club, it's a 2007 so it's 17 years old. Also, a lot of used 2007 Taylormade 3-woods for $35-$45, and not just EBay, but second hand shops. As I came back in, I noted the large sign on front of the building "We Meet or Beat All Prices". I found the Salesman and stated my case again, mentioning the sign out front. He got a little huffy and said the sign only applied to "new" clubs. He also said he had raised the price to $99. He then mocked my age, and said I had to leave...now! So bought the club on-line for $38 (matches my son's driver). Also, started checking out courses in the area with driving ranges (since I'm probably not going back to Great Brook due to the poor and even insulting customer service). Pequot is $5 and $10, vs $9 and $14 at Great Brook, but you can only hit irons off a mat. Elmridge was also $5 and $10, but you can hit all clubs and it's off grass, not mats. read more

I have used the driving range 10 times a year and really enjoyed the time, especially for early season warm up with the ball teeing machines. I have also bought a couple of used clubs at reasonable prices to fill yardage needs. Covered with heat blowing for cool weather practice. Love the place & atmosphere. read more

Driving Range is top notch and well maintained with automatic tees. Range has automatic, manual, and grass tee areas. Pro shop is a bit pricey but to be expected; you also get selection help which makes up for the high prices at the pro shop. The buckets are cheaper for military guys--about 100 balls for $8, which is unbelievably low. You can also trade in equipment for store credit at PGA value of clubs. The simulator is also top notch and is reasonably priced, especially if you split it between a few people. Connor is an excellent teacher/pro and the price of $30 is reasonable for half an hour of instruction, worth every penny. He will help you change your game. Got me from not able to hit a driver straight to driving 200+ yards in less than 30 minutes! Changed my iron game as well, highly recommend for all levels. Two dogs also wander and are super friendly--say hi to Bruin! read more

I go here all the time to demo clubs and play on the simulator. Staff is VERY friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of items in the pro shop and if they don't have it they can order it for you. Big fan of this place and would recommend it to anyone. read more

No upkeep weeds everywhere. No fountain, green on the 18 hole miniture golf coarse in need of repair. Bushes need to be trimmed and cut back. Needs landscaping with new mulch. Sad no upkeep! Advertises icecream, no icecream!!! Have some pride in your buisness! read more

This place was actually terrible. The carpeting on every hole is shredded. You can't read any of the sings that tell you what hole you're on. There's also bugs all over the place. Bugs were flying into me every time I tried to golf. There was even bugs inside where you pay. My boyfriend said he'd cut off his big toe before he ever came back here again. read more

Love the range! Driving range is open all year and has AUTOMATIC tees! No stooping to put a ball on the tee - just hit one and, magically, up pops another! Also, has heated bays for the colder winter months. Pro shop is well stocked and had some great sales when I popped in. Also, it is the only place around that I can turn in my clubs for a decent price when I am looking to upgrade. Minit- golf needs some maintenance, but I am looking forward to trying out the golf simulators next time I am there. Batting cages are not my thing, but they have several on the premises if you have a baseball/softball player with you. If they just had a bar/food, I could spend the whole day! read more

We went to play mini golf. Price was good and my son had fun, so I gave it 2 stars. Your kids could definitely enjoy some cheap fun here. But the place was in serious need to some repairs and basic maintenance. There was poison oak growing and it didn't just pop up overnight. It was huge and spread out in the areas all around the course. There really is no excuse for not pulling weeds and trimming back all the overgrown bushes. It is just manpower and the owner could easily take care of it himself if he cared. The waterfall needs to be repaired or fill it in with dirt. It is an eyesore. The benches were rotted. If you don't want to buy new ones, at least remove the old ones. Maybe paint the signs that are old and look terrible. The carpets on the green are awful. I understand that carpet costs money but the rest of it is just time and labor. If you at least clean it up and make it look presentable again, maybe people would use it more and you could make money to pay for the rest of the needed repairs. read more

I'm not a real golfer, so I can't comment on the quality of the shop or the driving range. This is about the minigolf, but I am posting it here in case someone -- like me -- doesn't see the separate listing for the mini golf. The condition of the course was truly dreadful. The AstroTurf was not only worn; on several holes, notably 9 and 10, it was absolutely slick with mud or mold. My 4 year old slipped and almost ended up flat on his bottom. I shudder to think of what is breeding in the stagnant water of the no-longer-operating water features -- if they can't run them, they should be drained! Beyond these safety issues, the course itself is very difficult to play as it lacks tees to hold the ball at the beginning of each hole. It also isn't very kid friendly -- none of the entertaining bells and whistles that one sees on other courses. Although the staff was lovely and accommodating, I regret including this in our vacation. read more

The individual at the counter was very helpful and courteous but when I asked a question that required someone with club expertise, I was referred to the manager who was responsible for club fittings. He (I think his name was Bill) was on the phone so I waited a few minutes for him to finish with the customer he was on the line with. When he finished I asked him if they stocked a particular putter, which they did. He took me there and I asked him the price. When he told me the price, I told him there was a competitor that had the price of that exact club $90 cheaper. I asked him if they would be willing to match or beat that price. He then told me "Why are you wasting my time of you're going to buy it somewhere else" (he attended to me for all of 20 seconds). I told him that there is a banner outside the store saying that you "match and beat all prices). He then just ignored me and walked away. I've never been treated that rude as a customer and you can bank that I won't be going there again! read more

Mini golf course was very outdated. Shrubbery was very overgrown and a ton of poison everywhere.

Terrible terrible mini golf course. No waterfalls no koi pond. Greens are awful. I asked the person at the desk what happened and they said they've been renovating for a month. Looks like nothing has been touched in years. Waste of time & money. read more

I've been a loyal customer of great brook golf for years. Between buying clubs, balls, bags ect for myself and my 16yo son I believe I've spent thousands in the pro shop.. This year I purchased the new Callaway Epic Driver from their pro shop.. Almost immediately I had an issue with the driver and the epoxy from the factory where the shaft went into the club head. I bring it back, they say it's no big deal, doesn't affect the performance of the driver but they fix it... 2 rounds later same issue... bring it back and they fix it again.. 1 round later same issue. Bring it back and I was told "What do you want me to do about it? They say they can send it back to Callaway but don't have a demo to replace it.. I leave and I phone Callaway directly.. Without question they agree something is wrong with the driver and send me a brand new one.. I paid 500 dollars for the driver and thought that great brook could do the same thing but I was wrong.. I'll never spend another penny in that place.. read more
