However! The Post Office Coseley team are not completely innocent. They could have chosen at any point to show a tiny bit of initiative and get in touch with me (since they had my details on the customs declaration) to let me know of the delay (to a perishable item sent via a guaranteed delivery date option) but instead happily left my parcel enjoy its best life sitting in some dark room meaning my parcel took two whole weeks to go 12 miles to Birmingham. Their response: its not our responsibility! Well I'm sorry but from the time I hand it over to you until ParcelForce collect it its very much your responsibility and you showed a complete lack of care. Do yourself a favour - go to Tipton instead. My wife told me to go there, I didn't listen and I deeply regret it. This is not an isolated incident either - other family members have had trouble with international items posted here. Sure, ParcelForce take a lot of the blame for this but it never seems to happen when we go to literally any other Post Office...

I had one person I know that cannot read or write, so I filled in the passport for them. Used the checking service before sending, they voided the application because "it has to be written by the person applying". First they try to upsell you on everything. I posted just over 400 C5 sized letters, they didn't like them because of their width was just touching guides, they wanted me to post large letter instead. I refused but they did warn me there may be a fine for the receiver. A parcel that was 2-3mm too wide in one dimension had to go medium size instead of small, the maximum size of the medium parcel was about 4x in each direction. No discretion given. Go elsewhere!

This is a very good post office with really competent staff, however, there is not a lot of room,…read moreand the queues always lead outside, which is not good for young or old people or people with prams who have to squeeze up the ramps outside. this will be one of the only post offices in bilston that is open soon and so will be absolutely jam packed all the time, which is quite scary considering the size. the staff are lovely and always help you out no matter what.

There's been a lot of talk lately over the death of the local post office. Whilst the one at the…read moreQueen's Head in (or at least near) Londonderry can't lay any claim to single-handedly reviving the local post office, it certainly bucks the trend. Having lived in Wolverhampton for three years and used their cavernous, pretty grim post office, it was nice to go to a smaller much more community based one where the three staff know the local people and regular customers. It's nice to feel a part of that kind of environment; one which is increasingly difficult to find in cities. It also maintains the Post Office trend of selling random items (handbag anyone?) alongside envelopes, paper and sellotape whilst you wait behind people posting stuff they've sold on eBay (the only reason I go in there) or folk sorting their car tax out. Yet perhaps the most useful thing about this Post Office is that it has a free cash machine outside, one of the only ones in walking distance around the area (the other is on Langley Green High Street).
