Let me tell you about this physical therapy group! I have a full rounded experience with this group of professionals, Ashwin especially. I will start from the beginning, I came to know Ashwin when my son visited Shriner's Hospital and was told he needed surgery on his legs. His femurs do not align with his knees, and it was causing him inability to squat. Which made squatting very uncomfortable and nearly impossible. My son, which was 15 at the time was scared, as any child would be with the talk of surgery. The doctors told him they would have to break his legs and reposition them into alignment with his knees. I sought out a physical therapist in the time waiting up for my son's next appointment. I happened upon Ashwin and his group mainly because they were willing to take on a new patient at the time. He reviewed my son's condition and examined him thoroughly and began his magic! My son continued therapy for close to a whole year, in which Ashwin was able to stretch out my son's legs and tendons. My son was able to squat after working with him. He was unable to "normally" squat because of course Ashwin didn't break his legs, but in his own way he was able to get into a squatting position. When we followed up with Shriner's Hospital and they saw my son's progress, they were shocked! They elected for him to not have surgery and wanted the name of Great Basin Physical Therapy group for their use upon patients in the South Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas! Fast Forward to 2017, I was in a roll over accident 13 years prior and I couldn't take the pain my back anymore! I came to see Ashwin again after I saw a Doctor (not mentioning anyone here) and they told me I needed to go to physical therapy after reviewing my MRIs and X-Rays. I sought out Ashwin again! He thoroughly examined my condition, I had a large dip I think he said 2-3 inches in my shoulder to the right side from years of compensating the pain. Ashwin worked with me for almost a year, 2-3 times a week, including pool therapy, home therapy, as well as in office therapy. I had epidurals which had no effect on the pain and I was at my breaking point! I walked into Ashwin's office, highly emotional and told Ashwin I need to quit physical therapy. I was crying and Ashwin ushered me into a room and asked me to fully tell him what was going on. He cared about me! I began to tell him I hurt worse leaving physical therapy, and the pain was worsening each time, and I felt like I was crazy because the doctor wanted to submit me for another epidural. I explained I felt like the doctor didn't see an severe problems and they were appeasing me with another epidural. Ashwin proceeded to calm me down and tell me I wasn't crazy, he had examined my MRIs and X-rays and in his words you are messed up. He knew I was at my breaking point! He said I know of a really good Neurosurgeon, and I will personally not only recommend him, I will also send him your records. At first, I thought okay start over with a new doctor great! He reassured me that if the doctor didn't respond to me with in a week to schedule an appointment he would re-contact him. Needless to say, upon review of my medical records, the Neurosurgeon call me the next day to set up an appointment, I saw him a week later and had surgery less than 2 months later! My back is great and I owe it all to Ashwin! In closing, my family members have seen Ashwin for multiple conditions, for a misdiagnosed meniscus tear, which turned out to be a miss-located knee cap which Ashwin found, to my upcoming father's hip replacement surgery. Ashwin also recommended and found the right doctor for my father as well, after he was at his breaking point! I have an upcoming neck surgery that I will also be using Ashwin's services for post-op therapy as well as my father will also use him for his post-op! Ashwin cares! Ashwin is extremely knowledgeable! If you get a chance to meet him or use his services consider yourself lucky! You will be in the presence of a great mind and hands alike! read more

Ashwin and his team are absolutely unreal! I have been going to Ashwin for ever physical injury I have had in the past 5 years and he some how heals me every time. Sometimes one little adjustment will cure me over night. Of course others times I have to work hard at home too, but he and his team are there to motivate and support me on my journey. I have been an athlete for many years and have had my fair share of injuries and experiences with Physical Therapists. I travel from lake Tahoe to see Ashwin because he is hands down the BEST! Very knowledgeable, and very helpful. They observe body mechanics and point out things that you don't even know you are doing. They make you feel at ease. They use your own muscles and resistance to help put vertebrae back into alignment. I've had back surgery, so conventional adjustment techniques can't be used on me. Or so the doctor said. I tried non-force adjustments, but they didn't work. This is the way to go-- it's like a chiropractor and a physical therapist rolled into one. read more

I had the good fortune to discover Ashwin and Great Basin Physical Therapy a number of years ago when I was recovering from back surgery. He and his Team are literally miracle workers! They have put me back together more times than I can count. Most recently from a very serious motorcycle accident two years ago.
